Jeno blinked his eyes open slowly. He could faintly hear two people talking at the door and he realized he was alone on the couch. With a small whine, he sat up and looked at the door. Even through his sleep-blurred vision, he could clearly make out the soft pink of his Nana's hair.

"MmJaem.." He whined, making grabby hands towards the younger with a pout. The warmth from his headspace that he had been basking in became stronger, feeling himself slipping further than he had gone in a while.

"Just a moment baby. Do you wanna talk to Taeyongie before he goes?" Jaemin asked softly, smiling warmly at the sleepy boy. Jeno whined again and shook his head, making grabby hands towards the younger once more. Jaemin just chuckled, turning to say a couple more things to the eldest in the doorway before waving him goodbye. He shut the door and turned around walking over to where Jeno sat.

"Is there something wrong angel?" Jaemin asked gently as he sat down next to the older. Jeno shook his head and nuzzled into Jaemin, sighing contently at the comfort he felt.

"So s'eepy.." Jeno said softly, a slight lisp to his words. The younger couldn't help but coo as he pet the boy's hair.

"Do you wanna go to bed? Or should we stay here on the couch?" Jaemin asked, getting a tiny whine from Jeno.

"Here, bu' I wan' my b'ankie.." He said, his breathing already slowing.

"Well baby in order to get your blankie I have to get up, okay?" Jeno whined, burying his face further into the younger's sleeve. "I know, I know, it's okay. I'll be right back don't worry."

"P'omise?" Jeno asked carefully, eyelids growing heavier as sleep weighed them down. Jaemin nodded.

"I promise." Reluctantly, Jeno pulled himself off of the younger, allowing the boy to get up. He watched him go with a pout, not liking the idea of being alone, even if only for a second.

After about a minute of waiting, he let out a small whine, huffing a bit and closing his eyes. "Nana.." He called softly, wanting the younger to hurry back.

"One moment baby." He heard Jaemin answer back, not liking the reply but pleased that he got one. The younger appeared again with more than what Jeno had requested. "Alright, I'm back."

"Mama." Jeno whined, hands reaching out towards the younger. Jaemin chuckled a bit as he sat down beside Jeno who leaned into him immediately.

"I brought you your blankie, and Ruby, your stuffed dog." Jeno took hold of Ruby and hugged her close, one of the ears ending up in his mouth as he drowsily hugged it close. Jaemin smiled as he put the blanket over the boy. "Is that better?" He asked softly, wrapping his arms around Jeno. The boy gladly cuddled into his warmth, letting out a barely audible noise as he nuzzled closer. He nibbled a bit more on Ruby's ear, eyes closing. "Aw, baby, don't chew on your Ruby." He said gently, pulling the stuffed animal's ear out of the boy's mouth. Jeno pouted at the loss, mouth opening silently a couple of times. Jaemin chuckled.

"I wan.." Jeno began, trailing off sleepily after. "I wanna pacifie'" Jeno explained shyly, blushing a bit. Jaemin smiled softly, chuckling before he nodded. He turned to the small bag of things he had also brought over when he sat down, pulling out the item Jeno had requested and carefully popping it in the boy's mouth.

"Is that better baby?" He asked gently. Jeno nodded.

"Ca' I sit acwosh you' lap?" Jaemin nodded, helping the older to fulfill his wish and laying him down.

"Alright. All set to sleep now?" He asked. Jeno nodded, cuddling into the younger's stomach as best he could. He snuggled closer under the blanket, feeling more warmth course through him as Jaemin carefully ran his fingers through the boy's hair.

"You s'eep too mommy.." He said softly. Jaemin nodded.

"I know baby I will don't worry." He said. "Such a good boy. Such a good kind boy who cares about his Nana.." Jeno giggled and nodded at the praise.

"I a'ways care about my Nana" Jeno said sleepily. "I wuv you mommy.." Jeno whispered, already on his way to dreamland.

"I love you too Nono. Sweet dreams angel..."
