It was lunchtime. The class was chatting away and eating lunch together. The atmosphere was light-hearted and friendly. Everyone seemed to be talking about the newest manga or anime that came out. Some people even went outside to hang out. Yuna didn't bother to join them. Instead, she sat at the back of the class and opened her notebook.

"How should I start this? I honestly have no idea," Yuna muttered to herself.

She slammed her notebook shut and groaned. This sucks. I wish I can just jab a knife in his back before he could see me. She gasped.

"That might be it," Yuna said.

She opened up her notebook and started writing. I might be able to figure it out if I use that trick I saw in this video once. She stopped writing and chewed on her bottom lip. Yuna wasn't sure if she could go through with it.

The video was from a reliable source, but how could she make it look like it was just an innocent joke? She didn't want him to catch on. Yuna needed to convince everyone that she wasn't interested in killing Koro-sensei, but at the same time cook up a plan that will kill him. It'll take a lot of manipulation, and it'll be a gradual process.

Yuna's stomach rumbled softly. I should eat now. I'm going to need the energy. She took out her lunch, which was a bento box. She made it the night before. It had rice and meat with some cooked vegetables. Yuna also had a juice box. It was nothing special, but it'll keep her from getting hungry.

Yuna took off the straw wrapper and started to sip on her juice. The juice was refreshing and quenched her thirst.

"Hey Yuna. Wanna eat with us?" A girl with blue hair asked her.

Yuna was hesitant, but finally relented. Might as well get to know them. Maybe they can help kill this stupid teacher. She thought to herself. "Sure, where are your friends sitting?" Yuna asked.

"I'll show you," She said. Yuna grabbed her stuff and followed the blue haired girl outside. She found Karma and another girl with green hair. They were playing cards.

"I win this time!" Kayano declared cheerfully. She stuck her tongue at him.

An annoyed grunt escaped Karma's lips. "You cheated," he stated in a matter-of-fact tone, "I know you did. I always win at this game."

"I didn't cheat! I just happened to win this time," Kayano snapped.

The blue haired female rubbed her head sheepishly. She walked up to them. "Yuna came to join us for lunch," She said.

"I thought she didn't want to join us or anyone in E Class? It sucks not hanging out with all the smart, cool kids for A Class." Karma teased, taking another sip of his drink.

Yuna ignored his comment and sat down next to Kayano. "You guys were playing cards?"

"We were. I finally won against Karma! It's fun. Do you wanna play too Yuna?" Kayano asked.

Yuna smirked. "I purpose we play a different game. Why don't we play chess instead? I've seen it in the classroom."

Kayano frowned. "Chess is a two person game though."

"I'll play against Yuna. Kayano can play with Nagisa. That's fair isn't it?" Karma explained. He flashed Yuna his trademark grin, overflowing with confidence and cockiness.

Yuna rolled her eyes. "You're getting cocky? I used to play chess a lot back in A Class. I hope you know that."

"If doesn't matter if you played it with those assholes. I'm still going to win." He declared.

Yuna glared at Karma. Before she could come up with something clever to say back, Nagisa came back with the chess board and pieces. She handed Yuna their chessboard and pieces. Yuna set the board up and they began.

Chess is a game where two sides, one black and one white clash together to try and best the king. The pawns, rookie, bishops, knights and queen woke together to help take down the king. Each piece plays a significant role, some contribute more than others.

It's a game where you have to think one step ahead of your opponent. A game where you have to watch their moves and discover their weakness. A game where you must find a way a to destroy them. A game where you think of the alternatives and the results. It requires strategy.

Yuna was fully aware of these rules, because they were hammered into her ever since she learned how to talk. She was taught to think before she acted.

Checkmate.

Yuna felt the blood drain from her face. Her eyes widened in shock. She couldn't believe it. This was the result? There was no way he could've beaten her.

"Wow Karma! You're so good at this! I'm awful at chess, it's nothing like cards." Kayano said in awe.

Karma started to put the pieces away after he beat Yuna. She watched as he put away the 3 pawns that managed to end up beating her king. Nobody would've used the pawns right? They were the weakest. They could only move one space up and one space diagonally.

"You beat me just by using your pawns. You barely used your bishops, queen, knights and rookies." Yuna pointed out.

Karma shrugged his shoulders. "You could've won. There were times when you were about to beat me. You ended up missing one thing though."

"He's right," Koro-sensei explained "There's no doubt about how skilled you are in chest. You managed to take down many of Karma's pieces. However, you overlooked one little thing, the fact that a pawn can be strong too. For example, if you were to manage to get it all the way across the board, you can switch it to a Queen, bishop, rookie or knight. Imagine being able to play with 9 Queens, and the Queen is the strongest piece in the game. The most minuscule of enemies can turn out to be strong. Don't underestimate your opponents Yuna."

The alien appearing out of nowhere definitely caught Yuna off guard. She had no idea he was watching them play. It's going to take a while to get used to him. She thought.

"I didn't know Karma was good in chess. That was definitely surprising." Nagisa said in awe.

Yuna crossed her arms and huffed. She stared at the red haired male. Who exactly is he? I've never heard of him before. How is he so smart but in E Class?

"Don't worry too much about it Yuna! You're still really good." Kayano said, in an attempt to make Yuna feel better about her loss.

"How did you get to E Class? What's your story?" Yuna asked Karma.

The red haired male smirked. "I beat the crap outta someone in the main building. They send me here."

Yuna's pupils dialled. Disbelief was written all over her face. "I didn't do anything nearly as bad, yet I was sent here? I just got into a fight with this one guy from A Class."

"Those A Class kids are pretty awful. Don't worry, you get to hang out with me." He grinned.

Yuna rolled her eyes. "It's not like I have much of a choice anyway. This asshole named Takayuki made fun of me and my father. He threatened to expel me after I stood up for myself."

"Was his name Chishu Takayuki?" Nagisa asked, "he's fourth in the entire school, right behind you, Teppei Araki and Gakushu Asano."

Yuna nodded. "Usually, the top three students would come from rich families. I don't. He was pretty annoyed that he couldn't beat me. I always placed third. After I picked a fight with him, his mother was furious. She could've gotten me arrested for harassment or got me kicked out of the school. The best thing they could do is send me here. That rich bastard."

"I can't believe Yuna was apart of The Big 5. Were you the one they called Ice Princess?" Kayano asked.

"It's weird nobody in the class noticed. Maybe they were just too pissed at the fact that you showed up."

Yuna turned crimson. "I don't even know who gave me that name. It's stuck to me and I hate it."

"I'm sorry Yuna. It must've been hard for you." Kayano said.

Yuna felt the bottom of her lip quiver. She forced a smile. "It's whatever. I don't care anymore. I'm going to kick Takayuki's ass when midterms come around. He'll regret every messing with me."

There was an awkward silence in the air. Yuna felt a huge lump on her throat. She fought back the tears.

Karma sat there. He was silent the entire time and stared at Yuna. She didn't seem to notice. He finally spoke up.

"Are you free today after school?"
