Bruce and Brandon Lee- curse or planned murders?
One evening the martial-arts master known as Bruce Lee took some medication for a headache. An allergic reaction caused his brain to swell and he died of cerebral edema at age 32 and on the verge of super-stardom: His highly influential kung fu classic, Enter the Dragon, was released a month later.
Twenty years on, his only son Brandon was on the wrong end of a decidedly more complicated sequence of events.
Brandon Lee was filming a scene for The Crow that required his character to be shot. The previous day, the props team overlooked a “squib load” -- a real bullet -- that had been pushed into the gun barrel. The next day, another props team loaded the gun with blanks; when fired, the gunpowder proved sufficient to fire the squib load into the 28-year-old Lee, killing him.
Like his father, Brandon Lee died young, and on the verge of stardom.
Conspiracy in relation to Bruce Lee-
Lee was either murdered by the triads.
It is said that the Chinese Mafia killed Bruce Lee as a punishment for exposing many martial arts secrets. They had warned Bruce Lee over and over about exposing karate. He was the first to do work of this kind, but the more popular he became, the more movies he made, the bigger the audience, and more karate on film, especially in the American market. After his death (which was shrouded in mystery), his son Brandon Lee came onto the scene. As the son of the foremost martial artist ever known, he picked up where up where his father left off. It however was much quicker that he met his demise, allegedly at the hands of the same Chinese Mafia, again shrouded in mystery.
The Triads, a group of organized criminals with ties to the entertainment industry in Hong Kong, China and Taiwan, are top suspects in the murder of both Bruce and Brandon Lee. The Triads were angry with Bruce Lee for refusing to work in their movies, and in turn, held a grudge against his son, Brandon.
He died from a Dim Mak ("death strike") he received some time earlier.
Bruce Lee was killed by a "death touch": Quite simply, this scenario suggests that Bruce Lee was felled by a single fatal martial arts blow. It was punishment for Bruce teaching Eastern martial arts secrets to Westerners. The "death touch" refers to Dim Mak, an ancient Chinese martial art that stresses the ability to strike certain pressure points and thus cause incapacitation or death.
His family was cursed.
Bruce supposedly was haunted by personal demons. He had premonitions that he would die at half his father's age of 64 (which he did at 32). Bruce Lee believed in a curse because his dad died under strange circumstances as well. He even said that his son will die young.
For them curses only affect the males hence why his daughter is still alive.
What supposedly happened?
On July 20, 1973, six days before the release of his latest movie, Enter the Dragon, Lee met with producer Raymond Chow to talk about a new project, Game of Death. The two then drove over to Lee's colleague's home, Taiwanese actress Betty Ting Pei. When Lee complained of a headache, Pei allegedly gave him an Equagesic—a combination of aspirin and a muscle relaxant. Lee reportedly decided to take a nap, but never woke up. The only substance found in the actor's autopsy was Equagesic and it was later ruled that he died due to a hypersensitivity to the muscle relaxant in the drug.
The final note on his death certificate ended up being "Death by misadventure", due to the belief that aspirin may have worked against him.
Those are the facts, but so much mystery surrounds why this happened, and whether foul play was involved that it has made its place in history as a story that goes beyond the grave, with some people still believing that Lee is either alive or cursed.
Cause of death of Brandon Lee-
On March 31 1993 Brandon Lee was killed by a .44-cal. bullet embedded into his body through his front chest and coming to rest close to his spine. He was 28 at the time.
It occurred whilst filming 'The Crow' in a scene whereby Brandon Lee was to enter an apartment only to catch his girlfriend being attacked by a villain. As in the script, the villain was supposed to, and did, fire a bullet at Lee.
Who pulled the trigger
No footage exists of Brandon Lee being shot. Apparently all the footage from the scene was purposely destroyed after the unfortunate incident occurred. There were plenty of witnesses that day, including well known actors and directors as well as a wide range of film crew. It is estimated that approximately 50 people witnessed the incident and on accounts of those people, and now from the man himself - Michael Massee (actor) is the person who killed shot Brandon Lee. Strong evidence suggests that Massee had no idea a real bullet was loaded into the gun.
How did the bullet get on a film set?
After countless witness statements, cross-questioning and physical evidence, the main theory behind how a live bullet came to be loaded into a gun on the set is purely accidental. The production of the movie (The Crow) was running behind schedule and it was decided that instead of buying dummy bullets, they would make their own from live bullets, by removing propellant from each individual bullet. It appears the crew forgot to also remove the primers, as well as accidently mixing up live and dummy bullets.
There were many strange happenings on the set before Brandon was fatally shot and some eerie coincidences.
First of all, the scene in which Brandon died in real life was also supposed to be the scene in which Eric Draven, his character, is brutally murdered.
Another movie was being filmed at the same time as “The Crow,” called “Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story.” This movie was to document Brandon’s father’s works.
Both of the sets were overrun with strange incidents.
The first day of shooting “The Crow, a worker touched a high-voltage wire and was electrocuted on a studio back lot.
An upset employee ran his car through the studio’s plaster shop.
A construction worker slipped causing a screwdriver to go through his hand.
The weather was also very uncooperative. It caused damage to some of the sets.
One of “The Crow’s” publicists was injured in a minor car accident.
A drive-by shooting took place just a few streets away from one of “The Crow’s” locations.
Due to all the strange occurrences the case was supposed to remain open.
Also, the medical examiner who was said to have performed Brandon Lee’s autopsy, and who went on record to say he had preformed it, had in fact not even been present at the time. He signed the autopsy report as well, yet he did not perform it. It is still unknown why he would lie and sign off on the autopsy, as if he’d done it himself.
To add to the possibility of murder, on the set of “The Crow,” the night of his death, it was bustling with several dozen people. The list includes actors, camera operators, lighting experts, producers, directors and numerous other employees. With that many people on set, tired from fifty straight days of shooting, who would have kept their eye on the handgun that ended Brandon Lee’s life? With only eight days left of filming the crew just strained to reach the end. With all that confusion, who would have worried about the gun? No one, and it could have easily been taken and loaded with real bullets.
Too many coincidences occurred to deem his death as accidental.
Although Bruce and Brandon Lee’s deaths occurred some twenty years apart, many connections link the two.
**Both died while in the process of making a film.
**Both of their deaths brought suspicions of conspiracy.
**Also, in Bruce Lee’s final film, “Game of Death,” he played an actor, who is severely wounded by a live bullet on set, exactly how his son was fatally shot.
There were many opportunities to kill both Bruce and Brandon, and both deaths could have been made to look like accidents. The “accidental” deaths of two actors, while filming movies, in the same bloodline, are highly unlikely.
All evidence points to only one theory, Bruce and Brandon Lee were conspired against, and both were murdered or was that all – the work of the curse?
