Chapter 2
Screams broke out from every corner. The men rushed forward, shouting orders. Guns fired, like flashes from mating fireflies. Men falling to the ground seeing their fate flash before their eyes. The young running away from the crowd, knowing what they have gotten themselves into. The attack was brutal, efficient and lethal.
" Mark!" I shout, the sound of my shout brought the building to silence. Mark comes with blood dripping down his face. I irritability shoot the ground next to me knowing what has happened. Bodies lay on the ground motionless, their blood drains from their bodies that form scarlet puddles.
" You were the only one who knew about Storino! Now, why the hell did you inform Storino of your location!?"
" V-V-!" The sound if his voice irks my nerves. I aim my AMT Hardballer at his head and pulled the trigger.
Click-
The sound of an empty gun echoes through the old business building. I put the pistol back in my thigh holster.
" I guess today isn't your lucky day Mark..." I walk away and I snap my fingers. Timothy and Michael know exactly what that meant. As I open my car door, I can hear his cries and pleads as the door closes, now he has something to be afraid of...
Hours later-
Pacing back and forth my face burns with furry, the thin are doesn't cool down my hot checks as I pace. Thoughts flow through my head and I screech in anger.
The wine bottle sits on the counter was in the wrong place at the right time, or maybe the right place. My hand grabs it and I slam it into the ground the half empty bottle beaks into millions of pieces that scatter on the ground.
" Ugh! That was my favorite bottle!" I aggressively shout I stay still in my steps having a feeling something was going to happen. Waiting to hear something, I hear a ruffle at the front door. Looking out, Mavericc was there with bags. Before opening the door I wait making sure he understands what this means. But he didn't knock, he just stood there... Waiting...
He stared at the door his eyes were focused. His handsome turquoise eyes seemed like black holes. His eyes seemed lonely. His eyes looked as lonely as the last donut in the box. As the last kid chosen to play. As the dog whose master had gone to war.
But his soft face figures looked as he was determined, to do anything and everything. But there was something holding him back. His face flushed red and starts pacing back and forth, I giggle to my self. Living with a woman would be different for him. But then he picks up his bags and runs off.
"Maybe... just maybe he'll be back." I clean up the mess, looking at the clock thinking it was 6 o'clock, but seeing it was 10 o'clock, I turn on the television.

Watching guys slip pills into girls drinks at the counter. Then minutes later they go at it in the bathroom. Businessmen talking over drinks, people who owe money with guns to their heads. Almost every day, there is never a quiet, settle day here.
Knowing I'm here on personal business not for a 'business meeting' it's extremely boring. Going outside I wait for my driver to come, but he never comes. Walking down the street, I spot the car. Flat tires with shattered windows, the driver with a bullet in his head. A man stood next to the car looking in.
He had the kind of face that stopped you in your tracks. I guess he must get used to that, the sudden pause in a person's natural expression when they looked his way followed by overcompensating with a nonchalant gaze and weak smile. It was a dead giveaway... it's him. He spotted me and turned away.
"Where are you going?" I ask before I could stop myself. His head cocked to the side, his eyes shifting from the ground to me. My heart stopped and I could barely breathe. All I could manage was a "Just wondering." Before my heart completely stopped.
"I'm guessing you need a ride?" His voice was soft-spoken and mellow, sending a warm glow throughout my body. Wow, what a womanizer.
"How do you know?"
"I saw it in your face." He motions me towards the passenger's seat and unlocks the car. "What's your name?" He asks when we were on the road. "Esser."
"Cute name." He simply answers I smiled shyly. Miles away from my 'second' home, I sit in his car quietly.
"I like your hair, is it naturally magenta?" He asks as he runs his fingers through the wig, knowing he might notice it I nod and he takes his hand away and keeps on driving. He moves his hand down to my thigh.
" My mother always told me not to go with strangers..." I say in an awkward voice.
" Your mother was right. Let's take a little shortcut, Okay?" Before I could answer he already took an exit. This is exactly where I wanted it.
"This isn't what you want is it?" I ask as he parks in an empty lot. I swing my leg over him rubbing against his crotch, he looks at me surprised. I giggle as he smiles and grabs my waist.
Click-
"What the?" He freezes with the cold gun to his head. "Who the hell are you?"
" Not too horny now are we...?" I smiling seeing him confused. " My father told me if it's not a stranger to you they might not know you. They should be careful ... You weren't careful now were you, Benjamin Cann?"
"How close are you with Storino? Answer or you'll miss your left nut." I order.
" I-I-I'm just his gunman." He stutters.
" Oh, Benjamin... Ben- that's not what I heard. Why are you lying to me?" I say after I pull the trigger and he screams in pain.
" I'm his damn right-hand man!" He screams. My tongue clicks as I shake my head. I pull the trigger once again.
" I guess he needs a new one, huh?" I get out and call Timothy. I burn the wig and contacts that I had on. Driving away from another dead body, leaving a letter. " I hope I made a point."

Walking up the stairs I see Mavericc leaning against the door, asleep. His soft features made him look fragile, fragile in more ways than one.
" Mavericc... Mavericc..." I say his name quietly to wake him up. He slowly opens his eyes and realizes where he was.
" I want you to show me everything!" He shouts as he notices that I'm right there.
" I know, let's go in. You hungry?"
