The Path of the Unknown

I walked slowly as silent as a mouse. Moving through the forest trying not to get caught as I moved closer to where my paws were taking me. The forest got thicker and a mist in the air grew heavy. It grew darker, soon I was unable to see causing my paws to stop.
Mutters of voices around me grew. 'The one of honey shall dround the racoon by the Fog. Changes the paths that cross.' The voices kept getting louder and louder as glowing eyes appeared around me. A scent of morning dew and sweet honey surounded me as I jolted awake. My body shook a bit as I got up and looked out the den.
The scents slowly washed away as I quietly walked to the elders den. "Owleye? Darkwing?" My voice was soft not wanting to startle the elders.
"Racoonkit, what are you doing out of the nursery?" Darkwing yawned as he looked at me.
"Racoonkit, ugh are you here to cause trouble?" Owleye grubbled as she opened her eyes and moved a bit.
"O-oh not at all Owleye, I just wanted to know if either of you had a story about.." I began to think on how to put it as Darkwing tilted his head. "Fog," Darkwing smiled as he motioned me to go by him which I did.
"Well I know there was a clan called Fogclan. They had intelligent cats, some say they had magic abilities. Able to sneak through the fog and see their targets well before they could see them. I heard they live in the thick forest where the fog dwells and stays. Many cats have gone looking for the clan none of them have returned to tell any tales. When I was a young lad I went to the border to inspect the truths of the tales. As I hide in the brush I saw three figures walking towards me. Frightened I turned and ran back to camp. Of course when I tried telling my clanmates and mother no one believed me. All of them said I was looking my mind though I can tell you one thing. I know what I saw, and those were cats on petrol seatching either for their next meal or for any unfortunate mouse brain who ended up in their territory."
I heard laughter from behind me I turn to see Hawkeye. "Fogclan isn't real, its a made up story. No one has met the cats from that so called clan and no one has seen them. Which means they dont exist." He walked over to Owleye and dropped a mouse. "Don't give this kit a lost sense of hope of magic or whatever mystic mouse dung that you are feeding him."
"Hawkeye, you can't always believe you are right. I had a sibling who thought they were real and went searching thinking they were real and needed to be found." Owleye started her tail twitched showing she was getting irritated.
"You never had a sister-"
"You don't know that Hawkeye! You were to..." Owleye's fur stood on end as she got angry though she stopped her self and sighed her fur slowly going back down as Hawkeye kept his mouth shut as he seemed a bit saddened. He sighed as well before looking to me.
"Racoonkit, you should go back to your mother she would be worried by now." I only nodded not wanting to stick around longer then needed.

I got closer to the nursery and my mother sat outside the entrence her tail swaying as her eyes narrowed. "Off to see the elders again?" She sounded irritated as I only nodded. She let out a huff before smiling softly and licked my head. "I should be happy That you are taking in what they can teach you but next time please tell me." I let her groom me as I looked at the sky thinking about Fogclan and who they might be, where did they go? Did his dream mean anything? If it did, did it have to do with Fogclan?
