Hi, expect more updates, my uni course is done until September :)
Trigger warnings: Mentions of suicide/depression, anxiety
For the first time since starting his company, Andy offered internship placements. There were two categories that a student could apply for: a six week summer internship intended for first year university students, and a six month paid internship for graduates.
As expected, less than twenty-four-hours after opening applications to the public, he had received hundreds. It was international, which made the number even higher, and was desirable not only because it was Men Wear Pink but because of the information that he had published on the application page. Anyone who was accepted got to work directly with him:
INTERNSHIPS FOR MEN WEAR PINK WILL INVOLVE:
Group tasks lead by Andrew Biersack and supervised by head of designs, Kol Harper. These tasks will include working in small teams to come up with designs for dresses, lectures taught by Kol Harper, and opportunities to work 3-1 with Andrew Biersack on creating professional drawings of your design ideas.
Work experience in Men Wear Pink HQ, where you will work alongside the finance and sales teams. You will also have opportunities to assist photographer Franz Manning in the photography studio. FOR MODELLING/PHOTOGRAPHY INTERNSHIPS CLICK HERE.
1 hour a week 1-1 with Andrew Biersack in which you will receive feedback on your work, advice relating to your ideal future job, and the opportunity to ask Andrew any questions you may have about the job/industry.
A CV IS NOT REQUIRED FOR APPLICATION. YOU MUST INCLUDE A 100-200 PIECE OF WRITING EXPLAINING WHY YOU ARE APPLYING AND WHAT YOU HOPW TO GAIN AND A PORTFOLIO OF YOUR DESIGNS/SKETCHES. ONLY 30 WILL BE ACCEPTED IN TOTAL.

Andy didn't know why he'd never done it before. The only reason he could come up with was that he worried if he had anyone underqualified working for him, the business would suffer. He knew it would be a huge opportunity for so many teenagers and young adults, that all some of them needed was to be given the chance. He wanted to be able to help any way he could, even if it meant putting his company at risk, albeit a small one.
He scrolled through the first hundred or so applications in his office on the first of March. There was a month until applications closed, and he wasn't entirely sure how he'd ever get through them all, but he refused to let anyone else help. He needed to be the one to decide who would be the best fit.
When he mentioned it to Abigail, she expressed concern at how it would effect his already unsteady mental health, to which he said, "I'm not gonna not do something just because I sometimes might want to die. These kids deserve this chance. Besides, don't you think it would make me feel good to help them like this?" Then he had sighed and added, "If everything goes tits-up and I have another nervous breakdown, I'll call you straight away."
Some of the explanations as to why they wanted the placement were so generic that Andy moved them into the 'failed' folder of his computer instantly. He didn't want to read a thousand versions of, 'I've always loved fashion and you're my favourite designer, working with you would change my life and make my dreams come true.' He wanted to read about their ideas, wanted to gain an understanding of their personality through the way they wrote and the things they considered most important.
That evening, after having read almost one hundred of them, Andy sat on the couch with non-alcoholic wine and smiled. Once he finished the glass, he went up the stairs and knocked on Remington's open door, said to the younger, who was lying on his bed with a book, "Fancy a pizza?"
Remington looked up at him. "Sure," he said.
"I'll order a couple. Come down in, like, half an hour. And your photos are on the website if you haven't seen."
"They are?"
Andy hummed. "The best ones on there for sure. Have a look."
Remington folded the corner of the page and shut the book, sat up. "Only if I look good."
"Are you kidding? You're fucking gorgeous."
Getting off the bed, Remington opened the laptop on his desk, typed 'Men War Pink' into google, and opened the website. There, on the home page, with the words 'NEW LINE OUT NOW' was him. He was wearing a teal dress with satin sleeves that he remembered felt like heaven, and had his head tilted down, looking up at the camera with a playfully seductive expression. Franz had said at the time that it was the best photo he'd taken in months.
"See," Andy said. "Told you."
Remington stared at the screen. He almost couldn't believe it. Six months ago, he'd never even heard of Andrew Biersack, and now he was married to the man, was on the front page of his multi-million pound company's website, and was being called gorgeous by possibly the most gorgeous person ever to walk the Earth.
"Line's selling out because of you."
"Wow..."
"It's good, huh?"
Looking over at Andy, he nodded.
"Well, anyway, I'll order that pizza." In the same flirty way Remington had spoken to him over dinner the other night, he said, "Just know if you ever look at me like that, I might have to cover my lap."
Remington felt himself flushing, so he covered his face and shook his head.
