Now here I am again. You probably wonder why I suddenly start like this and not continue with the story. Well remember how last chapter ended with Christmas 1984? Cause we are now in summer 1985. And I am of course going to explain what happened in between.

Mike and Eleven disappeared from the group because they were to busy with each other.

Will and I were starting to form a very close bond after everything that has happened. Although he doesn't seem to like me in the way I like him. So that is a problem I think.

When the end of school got closer I started to spend more in my homework and tests because it started to get really difficult. But Will helped me through it and I am so grateful for that.

D&D got forgotten by everyone except for Will who was desperate on playing another game. But we never did anymore.

And then summer came.

Dustin left as soon as possible. He had to go to summer camp or something. So then you had me, Will, Lucas, Mike, Eleven and Max.

Nancy and Jonathan finally managed to get a job at the local post office.

Joyce was still very quiet ever since Bob died. Hopper was finally living happy with Eleven because in the first year there they didn't seem to like each other. But now they do.

And Mike was always with Eleven. So I thought my summer vacation was going to be with Lucas, Max and Will doing nothing but sit somewhere and talk about how stupid life can be sometimes.

That went pretty well. Then a few week into summer Max noticed that the newly built Starcourt Mall had a new cinema in it. We thought it would be fun to visit the cinema.

But we didn't have any money. Then I found out that Steve, yes Steve Harrington, was working at this shop called Scoops Ahoy.

So we used Steve to sneak around the back and grab a free movie. And this became a thing. One day Mike came with us.

'It better isn't a scary movie!' he said.

'Promise,' Max said laughing. We all went inside. Inside Lucas bumped in to a girl.

'Watch it!' she said. And then someone repeated it. Remember Erica, Lucas his sister, yes she is involved somehow.

'Yeah, watch it, nerds!' she said.

'Isn't it past your bedtime?' Lucas said while still walking to Scoops Ahoy.

'Isn't time you die?'

'Psycho,'

'Butthead.' They needed to start screaming because of the distance.

'Mallrat!'

'Fart face!' Max grabbed Lucas by his arm.

'Oh no now that was mature,' she said when we entered Scoops Ahoy. We went to the other side of the shop where Steve his co-worker Robin was standing. And yes, Robin is a girl.

'Hey dingus your children are here!' she said. Behind her opened a window. Steve was standing there.

'Seriously, again?' he asked. He let us through the back once again. And after a couple of minutes we sat on out seats.

'Day of the dead, oh I am soo excited!' Max said.

'Wait, so it is a scary movie?!' Mike asked. Max smiled at him.

'Fuck, why do I listen to you every time,' Mike said and tried to punch Max. Max getting annoyed fought back. And Lucas in the middle held them apart.

I sat next to Max and Will. Will was silent once again. Then the movie started playing. I don't know what it was but I started to get dizzy. And then the power went off.

At the exact same moment everything I saw disappeared. I found myself above Hawkins where I saw every building lose electricity. Then I fell to the ground and numerous of rats ran by my feet followed by the power turning back on and me landing suddenly back in the cinema.

What did I just see. Then I noticed movement next to me. Will moved his hand to his neck.

'Will, are you okay?' I asked after seeing him turning white.

'Yeah, to-totally,' he said obviously lying. Of course he lied back in November about his problems and then he almost died.

But I knew that he was okay now. What else would there be wrong. It is summer. And he is having fun I think.

After the movies we all went home. I asked if Will wanted a ride. He said that he would like that. So he jumped on the back of my bike and I rode him home. There he jumped off and thanked me for the ride.

At home I went straight to my bed. My mom still hasn't showed up yet since that she left in 1981.

The next day was a pretty exciting one. Dustin was back from his summer camp. Max, Lucas, Will, Mike, Eleven and I gathered at his house.

Our plan wasn't quite clear to me but I tried to join with them. We all stood around the corner. Eleven was using her powers in some kind of way.

And then Mike said that she had to stop. I heard Dustin walking to the object that Eleven had been moving. Then we grabbed the board we made and walked around the corner.

Max counted from 3 to 1 and we all yelled: 'Surprise!' Now it sounds quite nice of course. But after our two experiences Dustin knows better.

He turned around and sprayed hairspray in Lucas his eyes. And he didn't stop until the bottle was empty.

So Max took Lucas to the kitchen to wash it of while me, Eleven, Mike and Will went to Dustin his room where he showed us some tech that he made on camp.

'What is that?' I asked when I saw a radio and a satellite and over a thousand wooden sticks.

'Oh this, this is a radio tower, with this I can talk with my girlfriend from anywhere,' Dustin answered.

'Girlfriend?!' We all said at the same time except for Dustin.

'Think of Phoebe Cates only smarter and hotter!' Dustin said enthusiast.

'Well, let's go talk to her!' Eleven said.

'Wait, but what is her name?' Will asked when we stood up. We walked to the front door.

'Suzie with an Z, she is from Utah,' Dustin said.

'What are you guys doing?' Max asked.

'We are going to talk to Dustin's girlfriend!' Will said.

'Girlfriend?!' Max and Lucas also said. They rushed to get to us.

Dustin had to build his radio tower on a high hill. We found one. And when we were almost at the top Mike started speaking.

'Hey guys!' he yelled.

'Curfew!' he said. He grabbed Eleven by her hand and walked away.

'Curfew, at 4 p.m?' Dustin asked.

'It is been like this all summer,' I said.

'It's romantic,' Max said.

'It is gross,' Will followed.

'It is bullshit,' Dustin finished.

'Now everyone, let's continue to operation Suzie,' Dustin said.

No one wanted to call Suzie anymore. We had been walking for hours. And we still needed to build that thing. But we managed to do it. And then Dustin started to try and contact Suzie. Which as expected didn't go that well.

'Suzie, this is Dustin, do you copy?' he kept saying. I was laying on the ground next to Will.

'Why do we have to do this, why can't we just play D&D?' he asked.

'That day will come,' I answered.

'But what if it doesn't?' he asked.

'Then it doesn't, but it probably will,' I said.

'And if there is no one left to play with, I still want to play,' I said.

'I am so happy to have a friend like you,' Will said. He smiled. I looked at Max and Lucas who were fighting over the bottle of water.

'They can't be nice to each other once,' I said.

'If I would be Max I had ditched Lucas into the quarry,' Will said.

'Well they have broken up five times already and they are still together,' I said.

'Really?' Will asked.

'Yeah, maybe because you were to busy with D&D you didn't notice everything else,' I laughed. He slapped me in my face. Then we both laughed.

'It is really nice to have you as a friend,' Will repeated.

'Someone is falling in love,' Max suddenly said taunting at me.

'What, no way!' I said.

'No gross, I don't like guys and if so he wouldn't succeed because I already found someone,' Will said.

'I just haven't asked yet,' Will said.

For some reason I got very upset about this. So upset that I stood up and starting walking home.

'Did I say something wrong?' Will asked.

'No, I just remembered that Mike still has my Atari controller for the whole vacation now and I got mad about the thought, so I am going to get it,' I lied.

'Oh okay,' Will said and laid back on the ground.

On my way home I started thinking. Will chose someone else. And I got mad about it. I should be happy. He wasn't suffering at least.

But I was. Suffering for him. Maybe that made me upset in the first place. I told myself that it was for him, to be happy. But shouldn't I be happy too?
