Short chapter today

Eleven had to set herself on her own personal mission as they other now split up to find Will. With Dart out in the open, from being in the Upside Down and Will constantly having episodes putting him in the Upside Down and the situation is just screwed to all hell.

Eleven: Will! Will! Byers!

Se feels as if the boys aren't really even that focused on the situation. Why? Well a certainly someone what Eleven is pissed whit.

Eeven reaches the main hallway in hopes of finding Will but her luck turns up when in the entrance of the school. Joyce Byers. Joyce eyes land on Eleven as does Eleven to Joyce.

Joyce: Eleven!

Eleven: Mrs. Byers

As if on time by coincidence Dustin and Max turn the corner seeing Eleven and Joyce.

Joyce: What's going on? Where's Will?

Eleven doesn't get to answer as Lucas barges through the door.

Lucas: The field!

Eleven is the first to leave the group with the others behind her. She makes it over to Mike who's trying to shake Will.

Mike: Will! I just found him like this!

Eleven: He's having another episode! Will wake up, Will fight it!

Joyce: Will! Will! Will!Sweetie, wake up! It's Mom!Will!

Will doesn't wake up as his eyes momic as if he's in REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep.

Joyce: Will, wake up! Can you hear me?bWill, please, just wake up. Please, wake up! It's Mom! It's me!

Will gasps opening his eyes looking around where he is.

Stranger Things

Will is soon escorted off school with Joyce. The party plus Max sit at the school entrance watching Will and Joyce from afar.

Max: Okay, that totally freaked me out. Did that not freak you guys out?

Lucas: Two episodes in two days.

Eleven: It's getting worse.

Mike: You think it's True Sight?

Max: What's True Sight?

Eleven: It's nothing.

[Cabin]

Five turns finally makes it back to the cabin. It's dead of night and Five reaches the trip wire when he sees Hopper on the porch smoking a cigarette. Five knowing he's in trouble he musters up and walks pass the wire and Hopper into the house. Hopper still angry throws his cigarette down and slams the door behind him

Hopper: "Friends don't lie." Isn't that your bullshit saying?

Five ignores Hopper and walks him.

Hopper: Hey, hey! Hey! Don't walk away from me! Where'd you go on your little field trip, huh? Where? Did you go see Jane?

Five: She didn't see me.

Hopper: Yeah, well, that mother and her daughter did and they called the cops. Now, did anyone else see you?Anyone at all? Come on, I need you to think!

Five: Nobody saw me!

Hopper: You put us in danger. You realize that, right?

Five: You promised...I go! And I never leave! Nothing ever happens!

Hopper: Yeah! Nothing happens and you stay safe!

Fivd: You lie!

Hopper: I don't lie! I protect and I feed and I teach! And all I ask of you is that you follow three simple rules. Three rules. And you know what? You can't even do that!

Hopper runs his hands through his hair. This is the first real argument he and Five had, since his daughter wasn't old as he was. And with Five breaking the rules it was a huge risk. Hopper wouldn't admit it but he cares about Five. He saw Five as something the guy at Hawkins didn't. Five was a human being. A child. He doesn't want to see Five go as he was devastated when his daughter died and to have Five who he saw as a son. He wanted to give Five a chance to be a normal kid. And a lesson for a normal kid, punishment.

Hooper: You're grounded. You know what that means? It means no Eggos...

Hopper walks into the kitchen and takes the Eggos from the shelves throwing them into the trash. He then walks to the TV and tries to take it from the stand.

Hopper: And no TV for a week.

Five stops Hopper using his power to force weight on the TV.

Hopper: All right, knock it off. Let go. Okay. Two weeks.

Five doesn't let up as he the blood begins to drop from his nose.

Hopper: Let go!

He didn't.

Hopper: A month!

Five: No!

Hopper: Well, congratulations. You just graduated from no TV
for a month to no TV at all!

Hopper grabs the cord and unplugs it from the outlet.

Five: No! No! No. No!

Hopper: You have got to understand that there
are consequences to your actions.

Five: You are like Papa!

Hopper: Really? I'm like that psychotic son of a bitch? Wow! All right. You wanna go back in the lab? One phone call. I can make that happen.

Five: I hate you.

It hurt to hear thay but Hopper doesn't let up from his lecture.

Hopper: Yeah, well, I'm not so crazy about you, either. You know why? 'Cause you're a brat. You know what that word means? How about that be your
word for the day, huh? Brat. Why don't we look it up? B-R-A-T. Brat.

Hopper tosses the book to Five but he uses his powers to stop it and throws it back to Hopper who dodges it.

Hopper: Hey! What the hell is wrong with you?

Hopper then has to dodge another projectile from Five.

Hopper: Hey! Hey!

Five pushes the couch into Hopper as well as the bookshelf.

Hopper: Hey! Hey!

Five rushes into his room and slams the door shut locking it as he leans against the wall falling down sobbing.

Hopper: Open this door! Open the damn door! You wanna go out in the world? You better grow up! Grow the hell up!

Five screams making the windows breaks scaring Hooper.

Hopper knew he wasn't wrong in the punishment but keeping him from seeing his first ever friends was what hurt Hopper the most.

[At the school]

Mike: Stop being a
baby and do it already!

Max: This is so disgusting.
Is this really necessary?

Eleven: To find him yes. The party are currently still looking for Dart. This time in the dumpster. Dustin walks over in the middle of the conversation noticing two of the party members are not there.

Dustin: What the hell's going on?

Eleven: What do you think? We're looking for Dart.

Suddenly from the dumpster trash is launched out of it.

Mike: Jesus!

Max: Oh!

Mike: Ugh!

From inside the dumpster Lucas vaults over the dumpster.

Lucas: Well, well, well. Look who finally decided to show up. After I drew the short
straw. Real convenient.

Max: You stink!

Mike: He literally just dumpster dived.

Dustin; Hi, Max.

Max: Hi.

Dustin: Where's Will?

Eleven: He'll be here.

Lucas: Are you just gonna stand there? Or you gonna help?

[Lunch]

Joyce: *answering machine* Hey, you've reached the
Byers. We're sorry...

Lucas: Anything?

Eleven: We need to talk. AV room. Right now. Party members only.

Mike: Come on, El.

Eleven: No! This is non-negotiable.

Mike: Sorry, Max.
Dustin/Lucas: Sorry.

Max sighs in frustration, she wants to know but with all the secrets.

Eleven: Will didn't
want me to tell anyone, but on Halloween night he saw
a sort of shadow in the sky.

Lucas: A shadow?

Dustin: What kind of shadow?

Eleven: I don't know. But it scared him. And if Will really has True Sight... I mean, if he can really
see into the Upside Down.

Mike pieces it together.

Mike: Maybe he saw that
shadow again yesterday.

Lucas: So that's why he was frozen like that?

Eleven: Maybe.

Dustin: Can it hurt him? I mean, if this shadow
thing isn't from our world...

Eleven: I'm not sure. Dustin?

Dustin: Well, if you're in another plane, you can't interact with the material plane, so theoretically, no,
the shadow can't hurt him.

Mike: Yeah, if that's even what's happening.

Eleven: Guys, this isn't D & D. This is real life.

Lucas: So what do we do?

Dustin: We acquire more knowledge.

Eleven: Alright me and Mike will go to Will's after
school. See what's going on. You guys stay here and find Dart.

Dustin: Dart? What's he gotta do with this?

Eleven: Will heard him in the Upside Down. I don't know how yet, but he's gotta be connected to all this. He's gotta be.

Mike: If we find Dart, maybe
we can solve this thing. Maybe we can help Will.

[With Lucas and Mike]

Class ends with Mike and Lucas finds Max at her locker still upset.

Lucas: Hey, Max. Have you seen Dustin? We're supposed to meet after class.

Max ignores Lucas and walks away down the hall.

Lucas: Max! Hey, Max! Hey, where you going? Come
on! We've gotta go look for Dart.

Max: Yeah, good luck with that.

Mike: What is wrong with you?

Max: What is wrong with me?
What's wrong with you?

Lucas: I don't understand.

Max: No! I don't understand! You guys act like you
want me to be your friend but then you treat me like garbage!

Lucas/Mike: That's not true!

Max: Yes, it is! You go and hide in the AV Club, keeping secrets like we're in second grade or something. You know, I thought you guys wanted me in your party.

Lucas: We do. But it's...

Max: But what?

Mike: There... there are just things. Things we can't tell you, all right? For your own safety.

Max: My own safety?

Lucas: Yes!

Max: Because I'm a girl?

Lucas: First off Eleven is a girl and in this just as much as we are.

Max: Did you keep secrets from Five?

Mike: Max, tread carefully please.

Lucas: How do you know about Five?

Max: Did you?

Lucas: That was different. Trust me. Okay?

Mike: That was just... just different.

Max: Okay. You know what? Forget it, okay?

Max: I don't wanna be in your
stupid party anyway. I'm out. Have a nice life.

Lucas: Max!

Max: You still stink, by the way!

Lucas: Oh, shit!

Mike: I gotta go, look if she doesn't wanna be apart of it so be it.

Lucas: What are you talking about.

Mike pulls Lucas away from nosey ears.

Mike: Lucas, what we tell her will most definitely put her at risk, she'll most likely won't believe us or tell outsider that we crazy, if word gets to the cops about it, it'll definitely reach the Lab. If Max doesn't want to believe us then so be it.

Lucas: I thought you wanted Max in the party.

Mike: I do, we all do.

Lucas: El doesn't.

Mike: I know that Lucas, part of the reason is because she feels we're gonna replace her with Five.

Lucas: So which of you told her about Five?

Mike: Why does that matter?

Lucas: Don't keep secrets Mike.

Mike: El slipped and mentioned him I'm trying to warm her up to Max.

Lucas: Look how well that's going Mike, they act like two girls who are in the middle of a love triangle.

Mike: Well what do you want me to do Lucas? I'm doing everything I can, ever since Five disappeared you and Dustin have been acting as if he never had an impact on our lives.

Lucas had to say Mike wasn't wrong since Will returned He and Dustin had been acting as if it never happened.

Mike: The only people who act like he's still he is me, El and Will. Will never got a chance to thank Five for helping us get to him, I never got to thank him for being there for us no matter how mad we were at him, and El, as much as it pains me to say she was affected more than any of us. I mean she never left her house after what happened, I'm not sure if you guys know this but everyday she's on that walkie hoping that Five will give her a sign. Other than chase Max what have you guys done?

Lucas can't answer. They're basically in the same boat as Eleven when Five walked into their life.

Mike: Look I'm sorry but it's just nerve-wracking to not be able to say this stuff. I gotta go help El with Will. Find Dustin and if you guys find Dart, keep him away from Dustin.

Mike leaves Lucas as he leans against the wall in realization.

[Cabin]

Hopper had already left for work with the parting word, 'if he cleans up he'll reconsider the punishment'

Five didn't want to but he'd do what he could to get to see El.

Five starts off with the bookcase lifting it back up, putting the books on the shelf in the order he remembers them being in. He then grabs the broom and starts sweeping the glass around the living area. He sweeps past a rug and it moved revealing a trapdoor. Five moved the end table and rug revealing the trapdoor completely. He opens it and looks into it seeing boxes but the one that catches his eye labeled, Hawkins Lab. Five grabs the box and pulls it up. He opens it and grabs a file.

Five: L/N, M/N.

He looks at the picture and it shows a woman. To Five the woman is beautiful. But something else caught his eyes. It was a news article that read, 'M/N L/N suing' under it, 'They took my son'

Five reads the article to his acknowledge and stops when he sees another name.

Five: Y/N.

Five then looks at the picture of M/N.

Five: Mama.

He turns the paper and is met with a picture of a young Brenner.

Five: Papa.

But Five wastes no time grabbing a radio and changes it to static. He grabs his blindfold and focuses on finding M/N.

He's in the void as he looks around not seeing anything until....

M/N: Three to the right. Four to the left. Rainbow. Three to the right. Four to the left. Rainbow. Three to the right. Four to the left. Four-fifty...

Five turns and sees M/N sitting in a rocking chair. Five inches closer as she keeps mumbling.

Like with El when he visited her in the void, M/N turns to Five.

M/N: Y/N

Five: Mama?

She then disappears.

Five: Mama! Mama? Mama!

Five takes his blindfold off and gasps.

Five: Mama...

[With Mike and Eleven]

After school ended Mike and Eleven bike to Will's house. Mike is the first to knock on the door.

Mike: Will!

The door opens to reveal Joyce who looks nervous.

Eleven: Mrs. Byers?

Joyce: Hey Jane. Hey, Mike.

Eleven: Is Will here?

Joyce: You know what? Now is not a really good time.

Mike: Is he okay?

Joyce: Yeah. You know, he's... he's just not feeling real well. He's laying down, so I'll tell him you stopped by, okay?

Eleven: It's about the shadow monster, isn't it?

Joyce was ready to close the door but is shocked that Mike and El found out about the shadow leaving her agasp.
