Much longer chapter ahead and jumping around alot. Final chapter if season 2, just making an announcement after this, I plan on doing something else with this book. Five run over, as does Eleven and they hold each other in a tight embrace. Almost a year.

Jane: Five.

Five: El.

Jane: I never gave up on you. I called you every
night. Every night for...

Five: 353 days. I heard.

Jane: Why didn't you tell me you were there? That you were okay?

Hopper: Because I wouldn't let him.

Hopper walks over and looks at his 'son' taking in his new look. His hair looks slicked back by gel and he's wearing all black clothing and boots.

Hopper: The hell is this? Where you been?

Five: Where have you been?

Hopper doesn't responde as he hugs the boy.

Jane: You've been hiding him.

Terry looking at her daughter as she gets angry.

Terry: Jane sweetie calm down.

Jane: You've been hiding him this whole time!

Eleven pushes Hopper, only budging him a little.

Hopper: Hey! Let's talk.

Hopper turns to Terry and Becky who nods as Hopper brings Eleven to Joyce's room.

Eleven: Protecting him! Protecting him?

Hopper: Listen. Listen to me. The more people know about
him, the more danger he's in. And the more danger you
and your family are in...

Eleven: So I should be thanking you?

Hopper: I'm not asking you to thank me! I'm asking you to try to understand.

Eleven: I don't! I don't understand!

Hopper: That's fine. That's fine! He was pushing me to see you everyday. Just do not blame him! All right? He's upset enough as it is.

Eleven: I don't blame him! I
blame you! I blame you!

Hopper: That's okay, kid. That's okay.

Eleven: No! Nothing about this is okay! Nothing about this is okay!

Eleven hits Hopper in the gut taking him by surprise.

Hopper: Oh, jeez...

Eleven: You're a stupid, disgusting, lying piece of shit!

Each word she speaks she hits Hopper as well.

Hopper: Okay. All right! Stop it.

Eleven: Liar! Liar! Liar!

Hopper: Stop it. It's okay. Stop it! Stop it!

Eleven: Liar! Liar!

Eleven begins to cry as she keeps hitting Hopper who hold the girl as she sobs.

Hopper: You're okay, kid. You're okay. I'm sorry, kid.

Back outside, the party now yes to Five who hugs each of them.

Lucas: We missed you.

Five: I missed you, too.

Dustin: We talked about
you pretty much every day.

Mike: More like El did.

Five was studying Dustin look at him.

Five: Teeth.

Dustin: What?

Five: You have teeth. I just don't know if I like it or not.

Dustin: Oh. You mean these these pearls?

Dustin does his purr making the others cringe.

Terry and Becky walked over to Five slightly kneeling over to the boys height standing 5'6.

Terry: Hey sweetie.

Terry hugs the boy who hugs back, Becky chuckles knowing her suspicious was true that Hopper was hiding Five.

Becky: We put in all that work to set up that room for you only to have Hopper steal you away.

Five chuckles and hugs Becky who returns the hug. They seperate and Nancy walks over qnd hugs the boy as well.

Nancy: We all missed you here.

Steve: I never did even get a chance to meet him.

Steve walks over to Five extending his hand to shake. Five shakes his hand.

Steve: Steve Harrington you must be Five. Still weird to call you that.

Five: You can call me Y/N.

Johnathan walks over and hugs the boy.

Johnathan: Thank goodness you're here. Thank you.

Five: Don't thank me yet, not in the woods yet.

Johnathan chuckles at the vocabulary of Five.

Johnathan: It's not out of the woods yet.

Max: Five?

Five turns to see the redhead he knocked off the skateboard a few days ago. He still doesn't know why he did it, maybe it was because El wasn't impressed but still, why did he do it?

Max: Hey. Um, I'm Max. I've heard a lot about you.

Five gives a small smile and nod leaving the party to go to Joyce.

Joyce: Hey. Hey, sweetheart.

Joyce and Five hug. Since the year before the boy looked to Joyce as a parental mother along with Terry but something about Joyce spoke more to the boy.

Five: Hey. Can I see him?

Joyce: He's not doing well.

Five: I know.

Joyce brings Five to Will's room where he's still sleep/out.

Joyce: What else did you see?

Five: I saw him being taken by a shadow.

Joyce: ou opened this gate before, right?

Five: Yes.

Joyce: Do you think if we got you back there, that you could close it?

Five: I gotta try

Joyce and Five return to the living room where the rest of the party go over a gameplan.

Hopper: It's not like
it was before. It's grown. A lot. And, I mean, that's
considering we can get in there.

He's talking about the gate. He's right, last year the gate was about 12 feet tall and now it stands 3 times the size.

Hopper: The place is crawling with those dogs.

Dustin: Demo-dogs.

Hopper: I'm sorry, what?

Dustin: I said, uh, Demo-dogs. Like Demogorgon and dogs. You put them together, it sounds pretty badass...

Hopper: How is this important right now?

Dustin: It's not. I'm sorry.

Five: I can do it.

Jane: What?

Hopper: You're not hearing me.

Five: I'm hearing you Hopper. I can do it.

Mike: Even if Five can, there's still another problem.

Lucas: If the brain dies, the body dies.

Steve: I thought that was the whole point.

Jane: It is, but if we're
really right about this...

Mike: I mean, if Five closes the gate and kills the mind flayer's army...Will's a part of that army.

Jane: Closing the gate will kill him.

Joyce recalls the last time when Will started acting weird. She set up a hot bath for him and he came out saying.

Joyce: He likes it cold.

Hopper: What?

Joyce: It's what Will kept saying to me. He likes it cold. We keep giving it what it wants. If this is a virus, and Will's the host, then... Then we need to make
the host uninhabitable.

Nancy: So if he likes it cold... We need to burn it out of him. We have to do it somewhere he doesn't know this time.

Mike: Yeah, somewhere far away.

Hopper thinks of the perfect place. He leaves his seat and grabs Will with Joyce and Johnathan following.

Hopper: Take Denfield, then you'll see a large oak tree. You're gonna swing a right.
That road is gonna dead-end. And it's about a five-minute walk from there.

Joyce: Okay. Denfield
to oak tree. Swing a right.

Hopper: That's it. But it's channel ten, right?

Hopper gives Joyce Will's radio.

Hopper: It's channel ten. Listen...You let me know when
that thing is out of him.

In the backyard Steve and Nancy grabs heaters from the shed pile.

Steve: You should go with him.

Nancy: What?

Steve: With Jonathan.

Nancy: No, I'm... I'm not just gonna leave Mike.

Steve: No one's leaving anyone. Like I said. I may be a pretty shitty boyfriend, but...turns out I'm actually a pretty damn good babysitter.

Nancy: Steve...

Steve: It's okay, Nance. It's okay.

On the porch of the house Five and El say their goodbyes.

Jane: Just be careful, okay?
I can't lose you again.

Five: You won't lose me.

Jane: Do you promise?

Five: Promise. We can go to the Sow Ball.

Eleven chuckles at Five.

Jane: Snow Ball.

Hopper:*from his jeep* Five... Come on, let's go. It's time.

Five: Okay.

The two share one last hug before Five runs to Hopper and gets in as they leave for the lab while Joyce, Nancy and Johnathan leave for Hopper's house.

[Hopper and Five]

Hopper: So, what, we're just not gonna talk about it, huh?

Five: About what?

Hopper: Oh, I don't know. I'm
just curious, you know, why all of a sudden you look
like some kind of MTV punk. I'm not mad, kid. I just want
to know where you've been. That's all.

Five: To see Mama.

Hopper: Okay. How'd you get there?

Five: A truck.

Hopper: A truck?

Five: A big truck.

Hopper: A big truck? Whose truck was it?

Five: A man's.

Hopper: A man's?

Five: A nice man.

Hopper: Okay. So let me just get this straight in my head. So a nice man in a big truck, he drove you to your mama's, and then what? Your grandmother gave you
those clothes? I need to teach you stranger danger when this is over.

Five: I...I shouldn't have left.

Hopper: No, this isn't on you, kid. I should've been there. I should never have lied to you about your mom. Or about when you could leave. A lot of things I shouldn't have done. Sometimes I feel like I'm... Like I'm just some kind of
black hole or something.

Five: A black hole?

Hopper: Yeah, it's a... You know, it's this thing in outer space. It's like, it sucks everything towards it and destroys it. Sarah had a picture book about outer space. She loved it.

Five: Who's Sarah?

Hopper: Sarah? Sarah's my girl. She's my little girl.

Five: Where is she?

Hopper: Well, that's kind of the thing, kid. She, uh... She left us.

Five: Gone.

Hopper: Yeah. The black hole. It got her. And somehow... I've just been scared, you know? I've just been scared that it would take you, too.I think that's why I get...so mad. I love you kid, I just have a weird way of showing it. I feel like I got another chance and I just don't wanna roll the dice on it. I'm so sorry. For everything. I could be so... so...

Five: Stupid?

Hopper: Yeah. Stupid. Just really stupid.

Five: I've been stupid, too.

Hopper: I guess we broke our rule.

Five: I guess we did.

Five and Hopper chuckle.

Hopper: Just saying if you were a girl I'd probably be worse. I don't hate it, by the way. This whole...look. It's kinda cool.

Five: Bitchin'.

Hopper: Okay. Sure. Bitchin'. That doesn't mean you get to swear alot you know.

Five: All right.

[Byers home]

Dustin takes out things in Joyce's refrigerator and leaves them on the floor.

Dustin: It should fit now.

Steve: Is this really necessary?

Steve holds the dead demodog in a blanket.

Dustin: Yes, it is, okay? This is a ground-breaking scientific discovery. We can't just bury it like some
common mammal, okay? It's not a dog.

Steve: All right, all right, all right. But you're explaining this to Mrs. Byers, all right?

Mike: Is there any reason why you need to keep that thing. Remember what happened last time you had a ground-breaking discovery?

Dustin: I didn't know it was from the Upside Down.

Terry: We're sure it's dead?

Becky: I should be. I mean Five used his powers and threw it through the window.

Terry: Kinda overkill don't you think?

Lucas: He was raised in the lab to hunt down Russians with his mind. I'm pretty sure they taught him to kill as well.

Steve: Christ. Help me out.

Dustin: What am I supposed to do?

Steve: Get the door, man.

Dustin: All right, I got the door.

Dustin hold the door open while Steve shoves the dead creature in the fridge.

Max: Ew. Jesus...

Steve: God...

Jane paces back and forth in the living room full of worry but this time for Five.

Lucas: El, would you just stop already?

Jane: You weren't in there, okay, Lucas? That lab is swarming with hundreds of those dogs.

Dustin: Demo-dogs!

Lucas: The chief will take care of him.

Max: Like he needs protection.

Steve: Listen, dude, a coach
calls a play in a game, bottom line, you execute it. All right?

Mike: Okay, first of all, this isn't some stupid sports game. And second, we're not even in the game. We're on the bench.

Becky: Bench warming is always fun.

Steve: So my point is...Right, yeah, we're on the bench,,so, uh, there's nothing we can do.

Mike: That's not entirely true. I mean, these Demo-dogs, they have a hive mind.

Jane: When they ran away from the bus, they were called away.

Mike: If we get their attention...

Dustin: Maybe we can draw them from the lab.

Lucas: Clear a path to the gate.

Steve: Yeah, and then we all die.

Dustin: That's one point of view.

Steve:No, that's not a point of view, man. That's a fact.

Terry: It is a good plan.

Jane: I got it!

Jane shows everyone the hive mind picture Will drew at the lab.

Jane: This is where the chief dug his hole. This is our way into the tunnel. So...Here, right here. This is like a hub. So you got all the
tunnels feeding in here. Maybe if we set this on fire...

Steve: Oh, yeah? That's a no.

Mike: The mind flayer would call away his army.

Dustin: They'd all come to stop us.

Lucas: We circle back to the exit.

Steve: Guys.

Terry: By the time they realize we're gone...

Jane: Five would be at the gate.

Steve: Hey. Hey! Hey! This is not happening.

Becky: Why not? Where did my niece go wrong? We down there and cause a distraction.

Terry: If we stay while Hopper and Five close the gate those Demo-dogs will storm Hopper and Five.

Steve: No, no, no, no, no. I promised I'd keep these shitheads safe, and that's exactly what I plan on. We're staying here. On the bench. And we're waiting for the
starting team to do their job. Does everybody understand?

Mike: This isn't a stupid sports game.

Steve: I said does everybody understand that? I need a yes.

Becky: Steve is turning into a mom.

Before steve could quip a engine Rev was heard. The kids run to the window and look out.

Max: Shit! It's my brother. He can't know I'm here.
He'll kill me. He'll kill us.

Steve walks out and leans against the pole while Billy exits his car.

Billy: Am I dreaming, or is
that you, Harrington?

Steve: Yeah, it's me. Don't cream your pants.

Billy: What are you doing here, amigo?

Steve: I could ask you the same thing. Amigo.

Billy: Looking for my stepsister. A little birdie told me she was here.

Steve: Huh, that's weird. I don't know her.

Billy: Small? Redhead? Bit of a bitch.

Steve: Doesn't ring a bell. Sorry, buddy.

Billy: You know, I don't know, this... This whole
situation, Harrington, I don't know. It's giving me the heebie-jeebies.

Steve: Oh, yeah? Why's that?

Billy: My 13-year-old sister
goes missing all day. And then I find her with you in a stranger's house. And you lie to me about it.

Steve: Man, were you dropped too much as a child, or what I don't know what you don't
understand about what I just said. She's not here.

Billy: Then who is that?

Steve turns and sees the party looking through the window as they quickly duck down.

Dustin: Shit! Did he see us?

Steve: Oh, shit. Listen...

Billy checks Steve and knocks him to the ground hard.

Billy: I told you to plant your feet.

Billy storms inside Joyce's house to see Max and the other members of the party.

Billy: Well, well, well. Lucas Sinclair. What a surprise. I thought I told you to stay away from him, Max.

Max: Billy, go away.

Billy: You disobeyed me.

Billy: And you know what happens when you disobey me.

Max: Billy...

Billy: I break things.

Billy grabs Lucas and holds him by his collar. Terry storms over and tries to pry Billy off but he pushes her away.

Max: Billy! Stop! Billy! Stop!

Becky walks over and wraps her arms around his neck to choke him but Billy headbutts her knocking her off of him and out..

Terry: Becky!

Lucas: Get off of me, you...

Billy: Since Maxine won't listen to me, maybe you will. You stay away from her. Stay away from her! You hear me?

Lucas: I said get off me!

Lucas knees Billy in the crotch making Billy drop him.

Billy: So dead, Sinclair! You're dead.

Steve: No. You are.

Steve pulls Billy to him and punches him in the face.

Dustin: Steve!

Billy: Looks like you got some fire in you after all, huh? I've been waiting to
meet this King Steve everybody's been telling me so much about.

Steve: Get out.

Steve hits him again. And again. And again. And Again.

Lucas: Yes! Kick his ass, Steve!

Mike: Get him!

Dustin: Murder the son of a bitch!

Jane: Now! Now! Hit him harder!

Mike: Get that shithead!

Dustin: Kill the son of a bitch!

Billy grabs a plate and smashes it across Steve's head stunning him.

Lucas: Steve!

Max: Billy!

Billy gives Steve a barage of punches.

Mike: Holy shit!

Dustin: Shit!

Billy: No one tells me what to do!

Billy knocks Steve to the ground and ruthlessly beats Steve.

Dustin: You're gonna kill him.

The kids begin to yell at Billy to stop as Billy keeps swinging. Max grabs one of the syringes and stabs him in the neck injecting the drug into his system.

Billy: The hell is this? You little shit, what did you do? What did you do?

Billy turns to the party but is met by a swift punch knocking him flat by Terry.

Terry: That's for my sister.

Mike: Shit.

Billy begins to feel the effects of the drugs but they were meant for Will who was a kid who stood 5'4 and Billy who's 6'. Max grabs Steve's Nail bat and holds it.

Max: From here on out, you leave me and my friends alone. Do you understand?

Billy: Screw you.

Max swings the bat down between his legs to close for comfort making the boys cringe and Billy look down.

Max: Say you understand! Say it! Say it!

Billy: *mumbles* I understand.

Max: What?

Billy: I understand

With that pledge from Billy, he finally subcomes to the drugs and is out. Max fishes into Billy's pockets and grabs his keys.

Max: Let's get out of here.

Lucas: One problem.

Lucas points over to Jane and Terry who are over Becky, who's still knocked out.

Terry: Go with them.

Jane: What? I'm not leaving you.

Terry: It'll be fine, cause that distraction and make sure that Five and Hopper can close the gate.

Jane: And leave you here with Billy.

Terry: Oh don't worry I won't hurt him. Much.

Max: Go nuts. Let's go dint forget Steve.

[Hopper's Cabin]

Joyce, Johnathan and Nancy finally arrive at the cabin leaving Will in the car as they walk in looking at the place.

Nancy: It's actually kinda nice.

Joyce: We'll do it here.

Johnathan: Are you sure this is a good idea?

Joyce: This thing has had Will long enough. Let's kill the son of a bitch.

[Hawkins Lab]

Hopper and Five finally arrive at the Lab. Five reclaims the memories of the place that held him for 12 years of his life while Hopper grabs his new M4 Carbine Assult Rifle and notices his "son's" sudden stop and change in emotions after finally being back.

Hopper: All right. You let me do the heavy lifting up front, all right? You save your strength till we're below. You okay?

Five takes a deep breath and nods.

[With the party]

With a blurry vision awakening. A brusied, dazed and confused Steve wakes up trying to figure out what's what. The first thing he sees long dark brown hair.

Steve: Nancy?

'Nancy' turns to Steve and has a disgusted look on 'her' face. Steve's vision clears up to see that it was Mike. He goes to rub his eyes but is stopped.

Dustin: No, don't touch it. Hey, buddy... It's okay. You put up a good fight. He kicked your ass, but you put up a fight. You're okay.

Lucas: Okay, you're gonna
keep straight for a half a mile, then make a left on Mount Sinai.

Steve: What's going on?

Steve turns to the driver seat and sees Max at the wheel.

Steve: Oh, my God!

Dustin: Just relax. She's driven before.

Mike: Yeah, in a parking lot.

Lucas: That counts.

Eleven: I said to just leave you behind you're heavy.

Steve looks over and sees El in the middle of Mike and Dustin while he lays on top of them.

Dustin: And what good could that do?

Eleven: Um hello he could beat the shit out of Max's demon brother.

Max: Step-brother and your mom and aunt will have that taken care of.

Steve: Oh, my God.

Dustin: I promised that you'd be cool, okay?

Steve: Whoa, whoa, whoa,
whoa. What's going on? Oh, my God. No! Whoa!
Stop the car. Slow down.

Lucas: I told you he'd freak out.

Steve: Stop the car!

Max: Everybody shut up! I'm trying to focus!

Lucas: Oh, wait, that's Mount
Sinai. Make a left.

Max: What?

Lucas: Make a left.

Max tapes a sharp turn scaring the kids and Steve in the car as Lucas makes another girlish scream.

[Hopper's Cabin]

In the cabin Johnathan and Nancy plug up all the heaters they can turning them on ad Joyce lights a fire in the fireplace. Joyce ties Will's arms and legs to a bed, most likely Five's. As the room begins to heat up it brings Joyce, Johnathan and Nancy to a sweat as Will wakes up.

Will: What's happening? It hurts. It hurts! It hurts! It hurts! It hurts! Let me go! Let me go! It hurts! It hurts! Let me go! Let me go! It hurts!

In between Will pleads Joyce remembers Will's episodes in the school field and Bob dying in front of her.

Johnathan: Mom.

Joyce: No!

Joyce turns the heat up on the heaters.

Will: Let me go! Let me go! Let me go!

[Party]

Max finally arrives on the pumpkin patch field stopping to a halt with a screaming Steve.

Dustin: Whoa!

Lucas: Incredible.

Max: I told you. Zoomer.

The party exits the vehicle with a groaning Steve who's trying to get back to his feet as the party opens Billy's trunk and take out cloths and a Jerry can.

Steve: Guys. Oh, no. Guys. Hey, where do you think you're going? What are you, deaf? Hello? We are not going down there right now. I made myself clear. Hey, there's no chance we're going to that hole, all right? This ends right now!

Dustin: Steve, you're upset, I get it. But the bottom line is, a party member requires assistance, and it is our duty to provide that assistance. Now, I know you promised Nance that you would keep us safe.

Dustin hands Steve his bat.

Dustin: So, keep us safe.

Steve takes the bat and is handed a cloth and goggles.

Steve: What's this for?

Eleven: Mom said that the toxins in the Upside Down could harm us, this is a precaution.

Steve puts on the make shift precaution as the others tie a rope around the axle of Billy's front wheel and dump it into the Upside Down.

Mike: Let's go.

The party repel down to the rope and are in the Upside down.

Dustin: Holy shit.

Mike: Yeah, I'm pretty
sure it's this way.

Dustin: You're pretty
sure, or you're certain?

Mike: I'm 100% sure. Just
follow me and you'll know.

Steve: Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hey,
hey, hey, hey. I don't think so.

Mike: What?

Steve: Any of you little shits die down here, I'm getting the blame. Got it, dipshit? From here on out, I'm leading the way. Come on, let's go.

Eleven is the first to follow Steve.

Eleven: Come on.

Steve: Hey, a little hustle.

[Lab Stairways]

In the lab Hopper and Five slowly make their way to the gate watching our for the demodogs. Hopper stops Five as he can hear breathing not from them.

Hopper: Stay here.

Hopper goes down a level to find Owens sitting up against the wall blood flowing from his leg and his breathing labored.

Hopper: Oh, shit. Hey, Doc. Those suckers got you pretty good, huh?

Owens tries to talk but he can feel his oxygen is low.

Hopper: It's okay, don't talk. Don't talk. I got you.
I got you. I got you.

Hopper attempts to stop the bleeding on Owens leg as Owens looks towards the stairs as Five comes into view.

Hopper: Oh, yeah, I've been meaning to tell you. This is Five. Five, Doc Owens. Doc Owens, Five. He's been staying with me for about a year and he's about to save our asses. Maybe when this is all said and done, maybe you could help him out, too, you know? Maybe you could help him lead, like, a normal life. One where he's not
poked and prodded and... treated like some kind
of lab rat, you know?

Hopper tights the belt around Owens leg making him wince in pain.

Hopper: I don't know, just a thought. But, uh... think about it. Don't go anywhere.

Hopper and Five retreat down the stairs to the gate.

[Tunnels]

Lucas: God.

Max: What is this place?

Steve: Guys, come on. Keep moving.

Dustin lags behind as he can see the same spore shooting thing that got Hopper.

Dustin: What the hell?

The thing shoots out spores in Dustin's face.

Dustin: Shit! Help! Help! Help!

Mike: Dustin.

The party returns to Dustin as he's screaming and taking off his mask spitting.

Dustin: Shit!

Lucas: Dustin!

Max: Dustin!

Steve: What happened?

Dustin; It's in my mouth!
Some got on my mouth! Shit!I'm okay.

Steve: You serious?

Lucas: Very funny, man.

Mike: Nice. Very nice.

Max Jesus, what an idiot.

Eleven: Maybe next time let it actually hit you maybe then it'll be serious.

Dustin: Hang on. Wait, wait.

The party finally arrive to where Hopper was trapped and the Hawkins Security bodies lay.

Steve: All right, Wheeler & Ives. I think we found your hub.

Mike: Drench it.

[Cabin]

Will continues to scream and flail in pain as Joyce glares and Johnathan cringe.

Johnathan: It's not working. It's not working. Mom, are you listening to me?

Joyce: Just wait!

Nancy: How much longer?

Johnathan: Look... look at him!

Joyce:  Jonathan, wait!

Johnathan: You're killing him!

Joyce: Just wait!

Johnathan: No!

Joyce: No, leave it!

Johnathan: You're killing him!

Joyce: Leave it!

Nancy: Wait, Jonathan, Jonathan! His neck! His neck!

Johnathan and Joyce's look to Will's neck and sees black veins all over.

Johnathan still reaches Ober to the heater to turn it off as Joyce goes to stop him but now with the Mind Flayer strength Wills breaks from his restrains and starts to chock Joyce.

[Tunnel]

The party now in the exit look at the hub now drenched in gasoline.

Eleven: This is it, our one shot at this.

Steve: You ready?

Max: Yeah.

Lucas: Ready.

Max: Ready.

Dustin: Light her up.

Steve lights one of the cloths on fire.

Steve: I am in such deep shit.

Steve tosses the torch into the gas drenched hive and it burns sprouting tentacles that fling in pain.

[Cabin]

Will grunts and groans as he chokes Joyce. Johnathan and Joyce try to pry his arms off but with the Mind Flayer taking over its impossible. But Nancy 'BAMF' Wheeler grabs a fire poker inside the fire place presses it against Will's side hurting him and the Mind Flayer and letting Joyce go.

Joyce: Get the hell out of my son!

Will screams as the Mind Flayer's shadow escapes the Will's body and flies out of the house. Nancy follows looking out in the distance as it flies away.

[Tunnel]

Steve: Go, go, go!

Steve runs with the party behind them as they try to make their way to the exit.

Dustin: Let's go, let's go! Oh, my God. Oh, my God.

Dustin trips over and falls. Eleven grabs Dustin's arm and runs with the boy.

Dustin: Come on! We are leaving!

[Cabin]

Joyce: Will, baby.

Joyce untied Will from his restrains and holds her son who's passed out.

Joyce: Will. Will. Please, Will. Will.

Johnathan: Come on, buddy.

No response.

Joyce: Please. Can you hear me?

Johnathan: Come on. Come on.

Joyce: Please. Will.

Will gasps hard scaring Nancy and Johnathan as Joyce holds and hugs her son as Johnathan runs to the radio.

Will: Mom?

Joyce: Oh, honey. Oh, God.

Johnathan: Chief, are you
there? Chief, do you copy?

Hopper: *over radio* Yeah, I copy.

Johnathan: Close it.

[Tunnel]

Steve: Oh, my God! Oh, my
God! Oh, my God! Oh, my God! Hey, this way!

Mike trips over as a tentacle wraps around his ankle.

Mike: Help! Help! Help! Help! Help! Help!

The party turn back to see Mike trying to pull himself away as the boy cries for help.

Steve: Hold on!

The kids grab for Mike trying to pull him but to no avail as it has a vice grip.

Eleven: Steve, pull him out.

Steve: Everybody back! Back!

The party hesitantly back away as Steve wacks the tentacle with his bat weakening it and letting go of Mike. Mike rushes to his feet and runs to his friends.

Lucas: You good?

Dustin: You okay?

Steve: Guys, we gotta go!

Steve turns to find themselves trapped as a demodog has blocked them.

Dustin: Dart.

Dustin slowly makes his way to Dart with his palm to him as the other call for him to stay from Dart.

Dustin: Shh. Stop.

Max: Dustin, get back.

Dustin: Trust me, please. Hey. It's me, it's me. It's
just your friend, it's Dustin. It's Dustin, all right? You remember me? Will you let us pass?

Dart snarls at Dustin as he quickly pulls his hand away.

Dustin: Okay, okay, I'm sorry. I'm sorry about the storm cellar. That was a pretty douchey thing to do. You hungry? Yeah?

Dustin reaches into his backpack as the other wait for what seems like hours. Dustin finally grabs what he was looking for revealing it to be a 3 Musketeers.

Lucas: He's insane.

Mike: Don't.

Eleven: Trust him.

Steve: Shut up.

Dustin: I've got our favorite. See? Nougat. Look at that. Yummy. Here, all right?

Dart eats the candy slowly as the other pass by.

Dustin: Eat up, buddy. Come on. Come on. There's plenty. I've got more.

Once they make it by Dustin makes his way to the others.

Dustin: Goodbye, buddy.

[Outside the gate]

Hopper and Five finally reach the gate and a massive hole where it's now revealed to be massive. Hopper and Five walk into a platform lift as they look at the ominous red glow. Five takes a deep breath as he puts his hand out and forces his powers to close the gate. It seems to work but very slowly.

*in his mind* Kali: I want you to find
something from your past, something that angers you. Now channel it.

Five closes his eyes and brings up every memory that has upset him. Brenner having his goons take him away, the bad men chasing them through the neighborhood, the Demogorgon almost hurting his friends, Hopper lies about when he can see his friends.

The building begins to rumble as the memories hit him and the Gate begins to close more.

In the tunnel the party finally make it near the exit as the ground begins to rumble and growling can be heard.

Max: What was that?

Mike: They're coming. Run! Run!

The party runs down the tunnel rushing to the exit hoping to escape the demodogs as Mike and Eleven know will definitely kill them all.

Lucas: Let's go! Let's go!

Dustin:Come on, Mike! Move, Mike!

Max: There, there! We're here.

Max points out as she points to the rope.

Mike: Come on! Let's go.

Lucas is the first to hop on the rope pulling himself up as quickly as possible to help the others out as Max is next with Stev giving her a boost and Max being pulled up by Lucas. Eleven is next as Steve grabs her waist and lifts her while Max and Lucas pull her up while Dustin keeps a look out.

Steve: Go, go, go! Let's go! Come on! Come on!

Eleven is pulled up as Mike is next who quickly turns back and reaches down.

Mike: Come on!

Steve: Dustin: Come on, hurry up! Come on!

Dustin: Oh, shit.

Steve looks down and sees the shadows of the demodogs gaining on them.

Steve: Get your ass up there!

Steve pulls Dustin behind him as Steve grips his bat as if ready to swing while Dustin tries to climb but can't.

Lucas: Dustin! Come on!

The dog's now reach them. Dustin hides behind Steve as he freezes but the dogs never touch them as they run past them.

Dustin: This is...

Eleven: It's Five.

Once the digs clear out Steve, now back in babysitter mode turns to Dustin.

Steve: Come on get up there.

[Lab]

Back in the lab Hopper watches as his 'son' closes the gate. Five nose runs of blood as he focuses his anger on the gate. A screech rings out over the pit. Hopper turns to find a demodog climbing up the vines.

Hopper: Oh, shit!

Hopper fires off the rifle as Five's memory focuses more.

Brenner: You have a wound, Five. A terrible wound.

12 Year old Five: The gate, I opened it.

Brenner: And it's festering.

12 Year Old Five: I'm the monster.

Brenner: And it will grow. Spread.

At the gate the Mind Flayer's watches as Five attempts to open the gate as Hopper shoots the demodogs down. The Mind Flayer uses his shadow to break through the gate

12 Year Old Five: Papa!

Brenner: And eventually, it will kill you.

Five screams as he puts all his power into fruition stopping the pertruding shadow in motion and the gate closing faster.

M/N: Y/N!

Five's nostrils stream of blood as his screams grow louder as the his power of closing the gate quickly shutting it off. The demodogs fall down the pit dead as Hopper holds Five who's lightheaded and padding out.

Hopper: You did good, kid. You did so good.

Hopper hugs the boy as the platform moves back.

[3 Months Later.]

Reporter: Since the release
of the incendiary tape, the once quiet town of Hawkins, Indiana, has spent time in a
place it never expected. The national spotlight. Under mounting pressure, several high-ranking members from the U.S. Department of Energy have admitted involvement
in the death and cover-up
of Hawkins resident Barbara
Holland who died due to exposurento an experimental chemical asphyxiant, which had leaked from the grounds of the lab. We sent our own April Kline to Hawkins to speak to residents, residents who told us theybthought they lived in a safe town. The kind of town where, they
say, nothing ever happens.

Owens: Chief-o.

Hopper makes his way over to the booth seat where Owens sits with a plate in front of him.

Hopper: How's the leg?

Owens: Better. Pretty sure my football career is over. Want some? No way I'm gonna finish it.

Hopper: No. I'm, uh... on a diet.

Owens: Well, you're a better man than me. Hey, got a little something for you.

Hopper is handed an envelope from Owens. Hopper opens it to find a birth certificate.

Name: Y/N Hopper

Birthdate: July 10, 1971

Father: Jim Hopper

Hopper: I thought...

Owens: Sometimes I impress even myself. Still, I'd let things cool off for a while, if I were you.

Hopper: How long is a while?

Owens: Want to be safe? I give it a year.

Hopper: A year? What about one night out?

Owens: One night?

Hopper: Yeah. How risky would that be?

Owens: What's so important about one night?

[Cabin]

Hopper finally arrives with a package in hand.

Hopper: Hey kid!

Five walks out of his room staying in the doorway.

Five: Yes?

Hopper smiles as he holds up the package up for Five to see.

Hopper: This is for you.

Five walks over and he hold the package.

Five: What is it?

Hopper: You expect to show up to this dance in old hand-me-downs? Put the suit on.

Five smiles and he runs into his room and walks in closing the door behind him. Hopper walks over the couch to announce the news to Five while he gets dressed.

Hopper: Owens suggest you wait a year before going out into public but he made an exception for one night.

Five: Will I still get to see my friends?

Hopper: Yes you can, but remember only here or their house. No public places till its 100% percent safe.

Hopper then realizes the situation Five is in, with Jane.

Hopper: I know that you and El? Are considered a thing now but even if I'm not your actual dad, doesn't mean I won't act like it.

Five: I understand.

Hopper: If she's over, there is a 3 inch minimum on the door being open when she's here.

Five: Scared she'll try something.

Hopper: Yes but I'm also scared of you trying something. Jane told Terry, who told Becky, who told me you um....grabbed her underwear.

Five: That's what that was?

Hopper: I don't know if you fully understand what that means but soon I'm gonna have to explain to you the rules of a relationship as a kid.

The door opens and Five walks out. Hopper turns to the boy and smiles.

Hopper: Lookin' good kid.

Five: Feels tight around my shoulder.

Hopper: It's supposed to be. Lets fix your hair, it looks a mess.

[Byers home]

Joyce: Yeah, you got it. See?

Joyce is in the middle of teaching Will how to slow dance ad Johnathan records everything.

Will: Mom!

Joyce: Wow! You're gonna knock them dead.

Will: Do you always have to take pictures of everything?

Johnathan: No, no. Just the good stuff.

Will: Are you sure people
still dance like this?

Joyce: Yeah. It's just what's happening.

Will: Is it what's happening?

Joyce: Yeah, yeah, it's what's happening.

[Wheeler Residents]

Karen: Oh, wait.

Karen Wheeler takes pictures of Mike in his dress suit as he hates the feeling of what she'll do to them.

Mike: All right, that's enough.

Karen: One more, okay? Just one more.

Mike: Why?

Karen: You look so handsome.

Mike: Mom!

Karen: Mike.

[Sinclair Residents]

Lucas in his dress shirt looks into his mirror practicing his line.

Lucas: Hey... wanna dance? No. We should, you know, get out there, like, do our thing... Stop. I love this song. You?

Erica: Yeah, I love it. But not as much as I love you, Lukey.

Lucas: Get out of my room!

Lucas slams his door shut in his sister's face.

[Mayfield Residents]

Max: Ow, ow. That hurts.

Max sits in her chair in front of a mirror as her mother stands behind her fixing her hair.

Max's Mother: It's gonna be worth it. Promise.

Max turns to the door to see Billy passing by who looks at her. Max glares and he sighs and walks away.

[Ives Residents]

Terry: You look great sweetie.

Becky: They grow up so fast.

Jane: You guys are embarrassing me.

Terry: Just wait till you hit you're 16.

Becky: Then we get to embarrass you in public.

Eleven is in a light blue dress with her hair tucked behind her ears as her mother has finished her makeup.

Becky: I think Five will like it.

Terry: He better keep his hands to himself.

Becky: If anything it'll be Jane who'll need to keep her hands to herself. You forget Hopper is taking care of the kid, you know Hopper will make sure he acts right.

Jane: He also grew up in a lab before the chief.

Terry: Still, you're my daughter and I'd like for you to remain pure.

[Henderson Residents]

Dustin: Son of a bitch! Son of a bitch!

Claudia: (is that her name I forgot) Where did you see it last?

Dustin: Right here, where I put it.

Claudia: What's in there that's so important anyway?

Dustin finds a brown bag and it puts a huge gummy smile in his face.

Claudia: You look fabulous, baby.

Dustin: Got it.

The doorbell rings.

Claudia: That's your ride. Dusty!

Dustin runs into his room and looks into his mirror.

Dustin: Okay.

[Hawkins School]

Steve: All right, buddy, here we are.

Steve turns into the school parking lot as he turns to Dustin whos hair is now slicked back as if a mullet with one curl resting on his forehead.

Steve: So, remember, once you get in there...

Dustin: Pretend like I don't care.

Steve: You don't care.

Dustin: I don't care.

Steve: There you go. You're learning, my friend. You're learning.

Dustin takes down the passenger mirror and loosk at himself having second thoughts.

Steve: Hey.

Dustin: What?

Steve:Come on. You look great, okay? You look... You look great. Okay? Now you're gonna go in there...

Dustin: Yeah.

Steve: Look like a million bucks.

Dustin: Yeah.

Steve: And you're gonna slay 'em dead.

Dustin: Like a lion.

Dustin does his famous growl.

Steve: Don't do that, okay?

Dustin: Okay.

Dustin and Steve share a hand shake.

Steve: Good luck.

Dustin exits the car and walks inside to the check in table where Clarke sits.

Clarke: Looking very snazzy tonight, sir.

Dustin: Thank you, my lord.

Dustin walks inside the gym, looking like a million bucks as he passes Nancy who's serving punch.

Dustin: Hey, Nance.

Nancy: Hey.

Kid: What's in this?

Nancy: Pure fuel.

Nancy looks over and finds Johnathan taking pictures for the yearbook and for the kids. They share a smile. Dustin makes his way to the party as he does a spin.

Lucas: Holy shit. What happened to you?

Dustin: What do you mean, "What happened"? What?

Mike: Dude.

Max: Your hair.

Lucas: Is there a bird nesting in there?

Dustin: What do you mean, "What's wrong"? There's no bird nesting in here, asshole. Okay? I worked hard.

Eleven: You look like Steve but with curly hair.

Dustin: Hey Steve is a genius, if anything he's cool.

Will: He also has a tendency of getting his ass kicked alot.

Dustin: Okay listen you're brother did get him by surprise but also throws heavy hit and Billy was overwhelming him after smashing his head with a plate.

Every Breath You Take by The Police plays over the speakers as kids gather up  couples for a slow dance. Dustin turns to max but is beat by Lucas.

Lucas: Max...

Max: Hey.

Lucas: Um, it's nice, right?You want to, um... You want to, like... You know? Like, just you and me?

Max: Are you trying to ask
me to dance, stalker?

Lucas: No, of course not. Unless you want to.

Max: So smooth. Come on.

Max pulls Lucas to the dance floor leaving a devastated Dustin:

Girl: Hey, Zombie Boy.

The party turns to see a wallflower girl walking up to Will.

Girl: Do you want to dance?

Will: Um... I don't...

Mike being wingman nudges Will

Will: I mean... I mean, yeah. Sure.

Girl: Cool.

Dustin: Wish me luck,
Mike. I'm going in.

On the dance floorMax moves Lucas's hands to her waist.

Max: Here. Mmm-hmm.

There is still a distance between them.

Max: Closer. A little closer. Okay.

Once Lucas is close enough to her she wraps her arms around his neck.

Max: Now feel the music. The rhythm. Start to move to it. Yeah. There.

Lucas: Good?

Max: That's good. Yeah.

Dustin has had no luck at all as he becomes a wall flower until by his surprise Nancy walks over.

Nancy: Come on. I can't stand to see any of my brother's friends hurt like this, let's go.

Dustin doesn't need to be told twice as he takes her hand and they make their way to the dance floor.

Nancy: You know, out of all
of my brother's friends, you're my favorite. You've always been my favorite.

Dustin: Really?

Nancy: Yeah.

Even through the loud music Nancy and Dustin hear one of the many girls Dustin asked for a dance murmuring to her friends.

Nancy: Girls this age are dumb. But give them a few
years, and they'll wise up. And, uh, you're gonna drive them nuts.

Dustin: You think so?

Nancy: Oh, I know so.

At a table Mike and Eleven sit waiting, well more so Eleven.

Girl: Excuse me?

The two look to see another girl looking at them but she's more nervous about talking to Mike.

Girl: Is he taken by chance?

The girl asks making Eleven eyes widen.

Mike: No.

Girl: Good, I was wondering if you would like to dance.

Mike looks to El who smiles and motions for him to accept.

Mike nods and walks away with the girl leaving El waiting behind.

[Outside]

Hopper: Hey.

Joyce: Hey.

Hopper walks over to Joyce as she leans against her car.

Hopper: Thought I might find you out here.

Joyce: Will wanted me to give
him some space, so... I'm giving him a few feet.

Hopper nods and takes out a cigarette pack.

Hopper: What do you say? I'm pretty sure that Mr. Cooper
retired in the '70s, so... we might be okay.

Joyce takes the cigarette as Hopper lights it for her.

Hopper: How are you holding up?

Joyce: You know.

Hopper: Yeah. That feeling never goes away. It is true what they say, you know. Every day it does get a little easier.

Inside Eleven still waits and is close to giving up but stops when she's sees five walk in with his new snazzy suit. He gets multiple glances from the kids some of the girls even murmur question who's gonna ask him to dance or where he's from. Five finally spots Eleven as she walks up.

Eleven: You look handsome.

Five: You look beautiful.

Eleven blushes at the complement.

Eleven: Do you wanna dance?

Five: I don't know how.

Eleven: I don't either. Do you want to figure it out?

The two finally make their way to the dance floor. Eleven wraps he arms around Five as his arms move to waist.

Eleven: Like this.

The two steadily moves side to side as the slowly spin around the room.

Eleven: Yeah, like that.

One the dance floor the party is smiling, Will having his first dance with a girl who he doesn't know her name, Dustin slow dancing with Nancy as he gives his gummy smile, Max and Lucas dancing the same way but Max adds the cherry on top by pressing her lips to his. Five and Eleven slow dance staring in each other's eyes as the slowly lean in for kiss.

Of season two. This was a hassle two write, it usually takes me a day to write a book but this took a week. Now we're moving onto season 3 where alot of changes have been made
