The main party now out of the basement are now in the cabin with Lucas and Johnathan barracading the entrances while the other sit around Y/N as he relays the story of Billy. A few hundred feet away the town festival goes off without a hitch and proves to be safe enough for them to hide.

Y/N: He said he was building something. That it was all for me.

Will: Building something?

Mike: Is he talking about the flayed?

Max: He must be. So, he's building an army, just like you guys thought.

Eleven: Yeah, but he's not building this army to spread. He's building it to stop Five. Last year, Five closed the gate on him. I have a feeling that really pissed him off.

Eleven: Royally. And the Mind Flayer now knows that he's the only thing that can stop him.

Nancy: But if he's out of the way...

Max: Game over.

Y/N: He also said he was gonna kill all of you.

Lucas: Yeah, well, that's nice.

A rumble could be heard by Nancy but it was much more rough than the fireworks.

Nancy: Do you guys hear that?

Johnathan: It's just the fireworks.

Nancy turns to Y/N as he notices the rumble as well.

Nsncy: Billy... When he told you this,
it was here, in this room?

Y/N walks out the cabin as he and the party see miles down the driveway trees being knocked over and the lights from the fireworks show a flesh version of the Mind Flayer storming his way down the path.

Y/N:He knows we're here.

〔Chapter 7: The Bite〕

[Russian Base]

In the Russian Base Hallway a red cargo car speed down the hallway at its top speed. Becky driving with Erica and Dustin beside her as they finally make it back to the elevator with the drugged up Steve and Robin hit their heads on the grate in the cargo car.

Steve: Jesus, slow down!

Robin: Yeah, what is this, like, the Indy 500?

Steve: It's the Indy 300.

Robin: No, dingus, it's 500!

Steve: It's 300!

Robin: Let's say a million.

Erica: What is wrong with them?

Becky: I don't know.

Dustin: Becky, watch out!

Becky focuses in and notices that they finally make it back to the elevator screeching to a hard stop making the drugged up duo hit their head on the back of the grate.

Steve: Shit!

Dustin: You guys all right back there?

Becky: They're fine. Come on. We gotta go, now.

The trio run over to the the back and open the door to see the duo in a dazed yet confused yet dizzy state.

Becky: Come on! Get out!

Erica: Let's go!

Dustin grabs a hold of Steve and Erica grabs a hold of Robin as they help them exit the cargo cart and the walk them inside the cargo elevator. Becky hold the keycard she swiped from one of the guards and holds it to the keypad.

Becmy: Here goes nothin'.

Becky swipes the card and it closed the doors and shoots them at its topspeed back to the top. Becky, Erica and Dustin hold on tight while both Robin and Steve play on a cargo cart as if it's a skateboard.

Robin: Hey! You look like you're surfing!

Scratch that surfing. Dustin and Erica try to figure out what it is on why they're acting this way while Becky soon figures out what's wrong.

Steve: Surfing! Yeah!

Erica: They seem drunk.

Dustin: Why would they be drunk?

Steve: I'm a natural! Check it out! Whoop!

Steve trips from the cart falling on his back while Robin laughs.

Robin: Wipeout!

Dustin holds his hand on Steve's forehead.

Dustin: He's burning up.

Steve: You're burning up.

Dustin: One sec, one sec. Steve, Steve.

Dustin grabs his pen light and tries to hold Steve's eyes open but he resists like a 5 year old who doesn't want to he touched.

Steve: God, no. Ow!

Dustin: His pupils are super dilated.

Erica: Maybe he's drugged.

Becky: He is.

Steve: Ugh. Boop!

Steve pokes Dustin's nose and chuckles.

Dustin: Steve, are you drugged?

Steve: How many times, Dad? I don't do drugs. It's only marijuana.

Becky: Marijuana doesn't do that, trust me I know.

Dustin ignores Becky's quip and focuses back on everyone's favorite babysitter.

Dustin: This isn't funny, okay? I need to know what they did to you. Are you gonna die on us?

Steve pokes Dustin's nose again as Robin crouches down and holds her head up in her hands staring at Dustin.

Robin: We all die, my strange little child friend. It's just a matter of how... and when.

Becky ignored the drugged up talk from Steve and Robin to get Dustin and Erica's mind back on track.

Becky: They're gonna be looking for us up there.

Becky crouches down and looks at the drugged Steve who's in a giggle fit.

Becky: Steve, I need you to tell me
where you parked your car.

Steve: Oh, can we make a pit stop
at the food court?

Robin: I would kill for a hot dog on a stick.

Steve: Ooh!

Robin: All right. Yeah, food.

Dustin: Yes, you can have as much food as you want, but only if you tell me where your car is parked.

Steve: Uh-oh.

Dustin: Uh-oh?

Becky: Steve what 'Uh-oh'.

Steve: The car's off the board.

Erica: What?

Steve: They took the keys. The Russians, they took the keys. Like, forever ago. That's a bummer, right?

Becky sigh as Dustin and Erica stare in shock as the two drugged up teens giggle.

[Basement]

A pair of legs is seen walking down the stairs of Mike's basement. The person walks over to a wall where pictures shows the party before and after Y/N. The first is the party winning the fair. Second when they found out about D&D, third when they were in costumes of the Ghostbusters and finally the now party.

Mike, Nancy, Will, Johnathan, Dustin, Steve, Lucas, Jane and....

Person: Five.

The person reaches the picture and on their wrist it show '004'.

Behind the person another pair of footsteps is heard. The person turns to find Kali, another one of the escaped children from Hawkins Lab.

Kali: Told you we weren't the only ones.

Person: When do we find him?

Kali: Soon but right now we have another job to do before contacting him.

Person: Why not pick him up now?

Kali: He has other troubles right now.

[Mall]

The elevator doors open to Dustin, Erica, Becky, Steve and Robin exit the loading dock and Robin and Steve act as if they're tasting fresh air for the first time.

Robin: Oh, my God, that tastes so good. Ah! Steve, can you taste the air?

Steve: I taste it! I taste it!

Before the other can say anything they notice a Russian guard entering the loading dock gate.

Dustun: Shit!

Becky runs over to a nearby door and opens it as Dustin and Erica pull Robin and Steve into the employee hallway of the mall. Becky closes the door behind her noticing they have nothing to block the door and soon enough following the kids.

Dustin: Come on! Come on!

Steve: Why are we running?

Becky: We're being chased Steve!

The group runs down the hall as fast as they can with the pursuit of a few Russian trailing them.

[Hopper's Cabin]

The party barricade the entire room of the doors, windows, every crack and crevice with the guide of Y/N.

Y/N: Lift the couch against the door and place the bookshelf against it.

Johnathan and Lucas lift the couch up as Y/N and Mike move the bookshelf against it as Nancy loaded a rifle from Hopper's room and Eleven and Max stare outside.

Y/N: Yeah. That's good like that.

Nancy notices the girls as they stare outside trying to find the new flesh Mind Flayer.

Nancy: Hey, get away from the windows.

Johnathan looks around the room finding the the windows are blocked out and the party soon feel the rumbling come closer.

Eleven: It's close.

The rumbling stops as Johnathan hold on to an ax, Nancy pointing her rifle at the door and Lucas aiming his wrist rocket at the window while Y/N has the rest of the part behind him.

Max: Where'd it go?

Suddenly and tendril breaks through the kitchen window. Y/N pulls the others away as Nancy aims at the tendril shotung it. It waves around and Johnathan swings his axe at the tendril cutting it but it knocks Johnathan across the room and tries to connect to Nancy but was stopped by Y/N using his powers. The window next to Y/N breaks and Y/N lifts his other arm to stop it. He screams and rips the tendrils off.

Mike: Holy shit.

Y/N breaths heavily as the roof is now broken and a tendril latches onto Y/N ankle.

Eleven: Five!

Y/N screams in pain as it begins to lift him up. Max and Eleven grabs Y/N arms and pull. Nmthe others join as they try to pull him down but it proves to be useless as the strength of 7 people prove to be useless against a damn near 20 foot flesh monster from another dimension.

Eleven: Pull!

Mike: Nancy, shoot it!

Nancy grabs the rifle and shots the Mind Flayer in the head but it just shakes it off. Mike let's go and grabs the axe glaring at the tendril. He swings the axe down and it connect ti the tendril. In unbridled rage he swings the axe till the tendril disconnects from Y/N. The party falls and Y/N turns to the Mind Flayer that is now roaring at them. Y/N screams and uses his powers to split the Mind flayers head apart.

Eleven: Five, you okay?

Y/N looks down at his leg and notices a tendril still on his legs. It clamps into his skin causing Y/N pain. He groans in pain as the others look at it.

Y/N: Get it off, please!

Lucas is the one who listens to Y/N as he quickly pull it off Y/N's leg.

Nancy: We need to go before he gets back up

Mike and Lucas lift Y/N up as Y/N raises his leg to let off the weight.

Max opens the door as the party rush out of the cabin, the kids put Y/N in the back as Eleven gets in as well. The rest gets inside and Johnathan quickly drives off. Nancy looks back to see Y/N holding his legs and the other trying to see if the Mind Flayer is getting back up.

Nancy: I know it's a stupid question Five but your leg...

Y/N: It hurts.

Johnathan: Is there anything to tie around his leg?

Max: What?

Johnathan: His leg is bleeding and we're on a bumpy road, if we don't stop the blood flow he'll die.

Eleven: Lucas your bandana.

Lucas: What?

Eleven: Give me your bandana.

Lucas: But?

Max: Give her the damn bandana!

Lucas takes his bandana off and hands it to Eleven as she wraps it above the bite.

Y/N: Higher.

Eleven: What?

Y/N: Tie it above the calve.

Eleven does what she is told and ties it above the calve on Y/N.

Will: We need to get him to a hospital.

Mike: Are you crazy, we take him to the hospital the Mind Flayer will show up there and kill him, us and everyone else.

Nancy: Mike's rights, go to the store, we can clean up there.

[Starcourt Mall]

Becky leads the kids from the hallway to an exit by the movie theater. It's in the middle of the showing, Back To The Future.

Steve: Where are we going?

Becky: To watch a movie.

The group leaves the halls and rush into the theater.

Becky: You guys stay here will Cheech and Chong, I'm gonna see if I can find something to get the son of a bitch following us.

Dustin: But-

Becky: No but, no time, go now.

Becky runs off as fast as she can while Dustin and Erica lead Steve and Robin inside.

Erica: Why did I agree to this?

Dustin: You can kick our ass later after you sign the NDA.

The two kid lead the teens into the theater. They place Steve and Robin on the front row, while Dustin point to the other end seeing two empty seats

Dustin: You two, sit.

Robin: No, no, no! These seats are too close!

Steve: Dude, these seats blow.

Dustin: Then don't watch the movie.

Robin & Steve: We wanna watch it.

Dustin: Then watch it! Whatever you do, don't... go... anywhere.

Steve: Fine, Dad.

[Convient store]

We now see Lucas break open a glass door as Eleven and Max help Y/N through the door. He winces with every step as he put more pressure on his foot since he's is slouched to reach his arms around El and Max.

Nancy lead them down one of the pharmacy isles as the girl led Y/N down agasint the isle.

Nancy: Okay, get him down.

The girls left Y/N down slowly as he grabs his ankle. Y/N unwraps Lucas's bandana off and they all see the gruesome sight of the boy's leg.

Mike: Oh, shit.

Y/N: Sorry about the bandana Lucas.

Y/N apologies but Lucas shakes his head.

Lucas: Dude you're okay, anything to make sure your okay.

Y/N: Reminds me of the junkyard a little.

Mike: The one where you pushed him off of me.

Lucas: More like flew me across from.

Eleven: Still was awesome.

Will: I was never told about this.

Max: *sighs* Can we stop the bleeding first you guys.

Nancy grabs a gauge and is ready to wrap the wound but Max and Y/N stop her.

Y/N: Wait!

Max: What... What... Hey, what are you doing?

Nancy: I'm cleaning the wound.

Y/N: Hopper says with a wound we need to stop the bleeding first.

Max: He's right, we need to stop the bleeding, then clean, then disinfect, then bandage.

Nancy looks confused at first.

Max: Y/N lives the the Chief of Police and I skateboard. Trust me.

Max grabs a table cloth and holds it to Y/N ankle. He winces again in pain.

Max: Eleven, hold this. Keep the pressure on it, nice and firm, okay?

Eleven does as told and holds holds the cloth to the wound.

Max: We're gonna need water, soap.

Nancy and Johnathan go to search for for wound cleaning agents.

Max: Go get me a washcloth and a bowl.

Lucas: A bowl?

Max: Lucas. Go.

Lucas: Okay.

With Nancy and Johnathan they search for the water and soap talking about what they saw.

Johnathan: What did that thing
look like to you?

Nancy: Like that thing in the hospital, only bigger.

Johnathan: Yeah, a lot bigger.

Nancy: Like, Tom and Bruce,
they merged to become one, right? And... And Driscoll kept saying how she needed to go back to the source...

Johnathan: Wait, you think Driscoll's in there?

Nancy: Maybe. And... And... And maybe Heather and Janet,
too, and God knows who else. I don't know how we're gonna
kill this thing, but if we do...

Johnathan: We kill all the flayed.

Nancy: And... we end this. Maybe. All I know is...we need Five.

Johnathan: How did we get smacked into these situations.

Nancy: Years ago we were distant and our brothers were playing D&D in the basement.

Johnathan: I think I'd rather stay like this to be honest cause who would have thought we'd been here.

With Lucas; he, Will and Mike made their way to through the isles looking for bowls but they couldn't find any.

Will: I don't know?

Mike: Maybe try the Kitchen Supplies.

Lucas: *doesnt hear Mike* What else do you use a bowl for?

Will: I... I don't know.

The boys continue down the isle and find a fireworks display.

Lucas: Oh, shit.

The boys run to the fireworks.

Mike: Satan's Baby.

Lucas: You ever shot one of these suckers?

Will: No. Is it sweet?

Lucas: That's an understatement.

Max: That doesn't look like a bowl.

Lucas: Nah, it's way better. There is a reason this warning label says "18 or older." This sucker is filled with 150 grains of black powder.

Will: AKA gunpowder.

Lucas: Strap two of these together, and it's bigger than an M-80.

Mike: Five of them, we've got ourselves a stick of dynamite.

Max: You wanna kill that thing with fireworks?

Lucas: Do you have a better idea?

Max: Uh, yeah. Five.

Lucas: Against that thing? He's gonna need some backup.

Mike: He's got a point. Remember this thing hates heat, even if sparks hit it, it'll have him stunned.

Max: Oh, my God.

With Y/N and Eleven, the two sits in silence while as Eleven holds Y/N's wound.

Eleven: Does that hurt?

Y/N: Uh, not bad.

Eleven: You're gonna have an awesome scar. You'll look even more badass.

Y/N: Bitchin'.

Eleven: Yeah, bitchin'.

Eleven: Five?

Y/N: Yeah?

Eleven: I've been meaning to tell you something. It's just, being broken up, it's been hard.

Y/N: It has.

Eleven: And...I like that you and Max are friends now. It's just, I was jealous at first,
and... and angry.

Y/N: Jealous? Of?

Eleven: A girl hanging out with my boyfriend, I'd be jealous. And that's why I said all that stupid stuff. And it's like I wanted you all to myself. And now I realize how unfair that is. And selfish. And, like... I'm sorry. I just, like, I've never felt like this, you know, with anyone before...and... You know, they do say it makes you crazy.

Y/N: What makes you crazy?

Eleven: You never... You never heard that term... You know, like the phrase, like..."blank makes you crazy," like the word...

Y/N: "Boyfriends"?

Dustin: *over radio* I repeat... this is a code red!

Y/N: Is that Dustin:

Eleven: Holy Shit it is.

Eleven grabs her walkie and answers the call.

Dustin: *over radio* El? Oh, my God, you have to listen.
I know I've been MIA, and I'm sorry, it's not because I'm mad. I mean, I actually was mad, but it's also because
I was trapped underground in a secret Russian base.

Eleven: Dustin, you're going way too fast. I can't understand you.

Dustin: *over radio* I know that sounds insane, but the Russians have infiltrated Hawkins at the Mall! The goddamn Russians! And now... they're using... to open the gate.

Eleven: Dustin, you're... you're breaking up.

Dustin: *over radio* And now they're after us and we don't have a way out of here, so I need you to come and get us.
Can Nancy drive?

Eleven: Dustin, you're cutting out.

Dustin: El?

Eleven: Dustin, you there? Dustin! It sounded like he said 'base'.

Y/N: What got my attention was 'open the gate', what's he mean?

Eleven: Not sure.

Mike: El? Was that Dustin?

Mike and the others soon return to Y/N and Eleven as they heard the loud conversation about Dustin.

Eleven: It was he said something about the Mall.

Y/N: Not only that he also said 'Open The Gate' and some base.

Lucas: That's weird even for Dustin:

Will: Whatever it is it could mean trouble.

Y/N: Then let's go find him. He needs to know.

Eleven: Right, Max.

The girls get ready to help him up but Y/N stops them.

Y/N: Maybe we get the guys to help me on this one.

Johnathan and Mike help Y/N up as he feels a lot better and less pressure on his ankle.

Max: Calling us short?

Y/N: Never said that, but you are short Max.

Max: Lucky your my friend and you're in pain.

Y/N: Lucky me.
