Chapter 6: The Spy (Edited)

After Joyce, Hopper and Bob exit the tunnel they are introduced to see Mike, El and many Hawkins guards around Will. Joyce is the first out of the hole as she crawls to Will.

Joyce: What happened?

Mike: I don't know he just started to fell over.

Eleven: He's in pain but we don't know why.

???: We need to get him to the lab now!

Joyce looks over and see Ownes walking over, he's panicked.

Joyce: Is my son okay Owens?

Owens: We don't know, but we're taking him and you all back to the lab to fix whatever this is. Stop burning!

A few guards pick Will up and walks him to the one of their vans and put him inside while he's still thrashing in pain.

Hopper walks to his jeep ready to enter but is stopped by Owens.

Owens: Hop no, we need to get you to decontamination now.

Hopper: What?

Ownens: Hopper you went into the gate without any precautions, were making sure you're safe. Now follow us.

[Hawkins Lab]

Upon arrival doctors rush Will on a gurney and inside the Lab as he still screams in pain.

Joyce: God! Hold on, sweetie!

Will sobs, scream and ground in pain.

Joyce: I'm right here. Just hold on.

Once inside a room the doctors surround Will straping him down trying to calm him down as he continues screaming in pain.

Doctor 1: Vitals?

Doctor 2: Heart rate 220. Temperature's 106. Will, where does it hurt?

Will: All over.

Outside Joyce, Bob, Mike and Jane Wait outside of Will's room qs Bob tries his best  to calm Joyce down.

Doctor: She says he feels like he's burning. Check for burns.

Doctor 2: I don't see anything. Where does it hurt the most, Will?

Will: Everywhere! Everywhere!

[With Dustin]

Steve: Wait a sec. How big?

Dustin: First it was like that. Now he's like this. I swear to God, man, it's just
some little lizard, okay?

Steve: It's not a lizard.

Dustin: How do you know?

Terry: You took a creature that was possibly from the Upside Down.

Dustin: How do I know if it's not?

Steve: How do you know it's not just a lizard?

Dustin: Because his face opened up and he ate my cat.

Terry: So yes its from the Upside Down, who all knows about the thing and that it's alive?

Dustin: Me, Mike, Lucas, Will, Eleven and Max.

Steve: Who's Max?

Dustin: She's the new girl.

Steve: So after we are sworn to secrecy you went and told.

Dustin: I didn't know he was from the Upside Down until Mike and El found out from Will.

Terry: Maybe it has with that shadow thing Will mentioned.

Dustin: Wait what?

Terry: On Halloween night El brought Will over after he had another episode, he mentioned seeing a huge Shadow monster from the Upside Down.

Steve: I feel like this is gonna be alot worse.

They finally arrive at Dustin's house and Dustin leads them to the backyard while Steve has his nail bat over his shoulder.

Dustin: He's in there.

Steve: I don't hear shit.

Dustin: He's in there.

Steve: All right, listen, kid. I swear, if this is some sort of Halloween prank, you're dead.

Steve points the bat at Dustin.

Dustin: It's not.

Steve: All right?

Dustin: It's not a prank.Get it out of my face.

Terry: Dustin do you have your radio?

Dustin: Yeah why?

Terry: I need to get Becky for this.

Steve: You got a key for this thing?

Dustin give Steve the lock key

Steve: Let me see that.

Steve walks down the stairs and grips his bat.

Dustin: He must be further down there. I'll stay up here in case he tries to escape.

Steve walks inside and due to the awkward silence Dustin and Terry get nervous.

Terry: Steve?

Dustin: Steve, what's going on down there?

Steve: Get down here.

Terry and Dustin walk down and walk over to Steve as he stares at the corner before Dustin can question he and Terry see why Steve called them down.

Dustin: Oh, shit.

In the corner of the bomb shelter, a tunnel.

Oh, shit!

[Hawkins Lab]

Joyce is tired of waiting and of the doctors not doing their jobs in 'helping her son'.

Joyce: That thing, it...
it did something to him.

Owens: Okay. And these
now-memories, as you call them, how long has he been experiencing them?

Joyce: I told you, since Thursday. Since I found him in the field.

Owens: And why wasn't he brought in?

Joyce: I have been bringing him in, and what have you done? Nothing. Nothing!

Ownes: These are new symptoms, Joyce.

Joyce: No. No, he has been telling you over and over that something's wrong, and you said it was all in his head. You said, "Be patient."
Those were your words.

Owens: I understand that you're upset, okay? I get it. I would be, too, if I
were in your shoes. But we are all in the same boat here, and I just need you to try...

Joyce cuts Owens off in anger.

Joyce: Wait? Stay calm? Trust you? No, I want him transferred to a real hospital.

Owens: Well, you know that's not possible.

Doctor: He really will get the
best treatment here, Mrs. Byers.

Doctor 2: The very best.

Joyce: And what are you
treating him for, exactly? Can anyone tell me
what's wrong with him? Can a single person in this room tell me what is wrong with my boy? What is wrong with my boy?

Silence.

[With Lucas]

Lucas: Dustin! This is Lucas. Do you copy? Dustin?

Dustin: Well, well, well, look who it is.

Lucas: Sorry, man. My stupid sister turned it off.

Dustin: Well, when you were having sister problems, Dart grew again, he escaped, and I'm pretty sure he's a baby Demogorgon.

Lucas: Wait. What?

Dustin: I'll explain later. Meet me, Ms. Ives and Steve at the old junkyard.

Lucas: Steve and Ms. Ives?

Dustin: And bring your binoculars and wrist rocket. Oh and swing by Eleven's place and see if Ms. Becky is there, we need all the help we can get.

Lucas: Steve Harrington?

Steve: All right, let's go.

Dustin: Just be there, stat. Over and out.

[Hawkins Lab]

Hopper has finished being decontaminated. But with him being in the Upside Down and the spores hitting him. It caused him to vomit. Owens walks in trying to hide the hurt in his voice.

Owens: All right, cowboy, good news. We're giving you the green light. How you feeling?

Hopper: Never better.

Owens: All right, well, got a present for ya.

Owen, Hopper and two guards walk down the lab basement where Owens shows Hopper the gate Five opened.

Hopper: The hell is that?

Owens: Uh, something you should see. All living organisms develop defense mechanisms against attack. They adapt. They find
some way to survive.

Outside the gate Hopper sees scientists burning the gate at their attempt to close it.

Hopper: Oh, my God.

Owens: It's pretty
impressive, isn't it? It's been spreading, growing beneath us like some cancer.

Hopper: Why aren't you burning it?

Owens: There's a complication.

[With Joyce]

Joyce: They made me sign,
like, a thousand documents. I mean...we all had to.
We had to. I mean, I lost track at a certain point. They're gonna make you do the same. I'm sure.

Joyce decides to house the time to explain to Bob beginning from end about Will, the Demogorgon, the gate and Five.

Bob: Yeah. Well, hey, whatever. What kind of documents?

Joyce: Uh, confidentiality, and there were these
official forms saying, like, nothing ever happened, which is why...

Bob: Will got lost in the woods.

Joyce: Yeah.

Bob: Man, I always thought stuff like this happened in movies and comic books. Certainly not in Hawkins, and certainly not to someone like you.

Joyce: Or you.

Bob: Yeah.Bob Newby, superhero. [CHUCKLES SOFTLY]

[BOB SIGHS]

Joyce: You cold?

Bob: Uh, just a little jitters, I guess. Hey, don't you start worrying about me.

Joyce: Okay.

Bob: Okay? I'm fine. I'm fine.

Joyce: It's not like you didn't warn me.
"This is not a normal family."

Bob: Isn't that what you said?

Joyce: Yeah.

Bob: You weren't kidding. It kinda makes my idea
of moving to Maine sound a little less crazy, right?

Joyce: Oh, it... it's not crazy at all.

Will: *weakly* Mom?

Joyce: Hey.

Joyce walks to her sons side while Bob runs out the room asking for a doctor.

Joyce: Sweetie, how you feeling? You okay?

Bob: Okay, they're on their way. Hey.

Will: Who is that?

Bob: What? It's me, big guy. It's Bob.

Joyce turns to Bob with worry while El and Mike look confused.

Will: Are you a...doctor?

Bob: No. No, it's just me. Just... just Bob.

[Mayfield Residents]

In the Mayfield home, only two were there Max whos in her room reading and her brother Billy who's in the living room working out while loud music plays but with the loud music playing A knock on the door is heard by Billy.

Billy: Max, are you getting that or what?

Max: Okay!

Max rushes out of her room mumbling under her breath while Billy continues lifting his weights.

Billy: Swear to God, Max!

The doorbell continues to ring as Max marches to the door. She opens the door to find Lucas.

Max: What are you doing here?

Lucas: I have proof.

Max: What?

Lucas: Proof that what I told you was real. But we have to hurry.

Max: What kind of proof?

Lucas explains the situation in a hurry, somewhat convinced Max closes the doors and rushes back to her room, but Billy stops her.

Billy: Who the hell were you talking to?

Max: Mormons.

Billy: Mormons?

Max: Talkative ones.

Hoping she made up a good lie, Max goes to her room closing it behind her with Lucas waiting outside her window.

Lucas: *mouths* Come on, we gotta hurry.

Max opens her window and climbs out and he takes her near the road.

Max: This better be good, stalker.

Lucas doesn't respond, he stays silent while a woman in a car watches them cross over to her.

Max: Who's this?

Becky: Names Becky, kid. Your dumbass friend her made a big mistake telling you and now you're in the middle of it.

Max: What do you mean.

Lucas: It means I was telling the truth. Dustin said they were at the junkyard where we were hiding last year.

Becky: Got it.

[Hawkins Lab]

Will's room is crowded with doctors and his familiar. Owens sits on Will's bed hoping to get his memories fresh.

Owens: Do you know your name?

Will: Will.

Owens: Your full name?

Will: William Byers.

Owens: Do you know... Do you know who I am?

Will: A doctor.

Owens: Have we met before?

Will: I don't remember.

Owens: Hmm. You don't remember me? How about, uh... How about these two here? Know who that is

Owens points at Mike and Eleven, hoping it's not long term memory loss.

Owens: It's all right. Take your time.

Will: They're my friends. Mike and Jane.

Mike smiles while El on the other hand looks upset. All her life Will called her El or Eleven, when she is called Jane it's either around adult or something very serious.

Hopper: What about me, kid? You remember me? They tell me you helped save me last night. You remember that?

Owens: Do you remember anything about last night? About what happened?

Will: I remember they hurt me.

Owens: You mean the doctors?

Will: No. The soldiers.

Owens: he soldiers hurt you?

Will: They shouldn't have done that. It upset him.

Owens: You say, "Upset
him." Is that him?

Owens shows Will a picture of shadow monster that Will drew.

Will's eyes widen and his breathing becomes heavy.

Owens: Okay. Okay, I wanna try something.bIt's gonna seem a little odd at first, but I think it's really gonna help us understand what's going on. Is that okay?

Will: Okay.

Owens nods at one of the doctors. The door opens and a box is brought in the room, inside the box is a vine from the Upside Down.

Owens: Now, Will, I want you to just let us know if you feel anything.

Will: Okay?

Even though he's confused, Will complies. One of the doctors start up a blowtorch. He slowly lowers it as the vine makes a soft screeching noise. The monitors in the room start to beep and his BP goes up along with his temperature.

Owens Do you feel anything?

Will: Little sting.

Owens: It stings? Where?

The doctor lowers the blowtorch on the vine as it screeching grows louder.

Will: My chest.

Owens: Okay, son.

Joyce: Sweetie...

The doctor then puts more force on the vine.

Owens: How about now?

Will: It... it burns. It burns.

Owens: Where?

Will: Everywhere!

Joyce: That's enough. That's enough!

Will starts screaming in pain.

Hopper: Stop! You heard her! That's enough!

Joyce: That's it! We're done!

Owens: Okay.

Joyce: Sweetie... Sweetie. It's okay.

Owens brings Joyce, Hopper and Bob outside the room. Despite the circumstances no one ever wants to hear bad news. Even if the child is the patient.

Owens: Our best guess right now is it's some kind of virus which is causing this
neurological disorder. Now, when... when a typical virus
attaches itself to its host...it duplicates, right? It spreads, essentially hijacking the host. A virus is alive. It
has an intelligence.

Joyce: That's not... That's not unusual.

Owens: What is so unusual here, this virus... the infected hosts
seem to be communicating. It has some sort of a hive intelligence, and it's connecting all the hosts. The good news is a virus can be cured. We... we're gonna continue to run tests. We're gonna see what we find.

Joyce: What happens when he
can't remember anything? When there's nothing else there? What happens when my boy is gone?

[With Dustin, Steve and Terry]

On the train tracks, Dustin, Terry and Steve walk down the tracks as Steve chucks beef chunks in the track. Dustin explains the Dart situation and how he was trying to impress someone.

Steve: All right, so let
me get this straight. You kept something you knew
was probably dangerous in order to impress a girl who...who you just met?

Dustin: All right, that's grossly
oversimplifying things.

Dustin: I mean, why would a girl like some nasty slug anyway?

Terry: Most girls doesn't find that attractive.

Dustin: An interdimensional slug? And who cares if it's attractive, it's awesome.

Steve: Well, even if she thought it was cool, which she didn't, I... I just...I don't know. I just feel
like you're trying too hard.

Dustin: Well, not everyone can have your perfect hair, all right?

Steve: It's not about the hair, man. The key with girls is just...just acting like you don't care.

Terry: Not sure that works on some girls.

Dustin; Even if you do?

Steve: Yeah, exactly. It drives them nuts.

Dustin turns to Terry ready to ask if it does work.

Terry: It works on some girls. Last time I feel for someone who didn't care the bastard left.

Dustin: Then what?

Steve: You just wait until, uh...

Terry: until you feel it.

Dustin: Feel what?

Steve: It's like before it's
gonna storm, you know? You can't see it, but you can
feel it, like this, uh...electricity, you know?

Dustin: Oh, like in the electromagnetic field when the clouds in the atmosphere...

Steve: No, no, no, no, no. Like a...Like a sexual electricity.

Dustin: Oh.

Terry: Are you sure this is something you should tell a 13 year old kid Steve?

Steve: What I gotta at least try to help him out.

Dustin: Is that's when you kiss her?

Steve: No, whoa, whoa. Slow down, Romeo.

Dustin: Sorry.

Steve: Sure, okay, some girls, yeah, they want you to be aggressive.bYou know, strong, hot and heavy, like a...I don't know, like a lion.

Dustin: Mmm.

Steve: But others, you gotta be slow, you gotta be stealthy, like a...like a ninja.

Terry: You gotta focus on the timing, in these types of situations you gotta wait it out. Let the situations air out.

Dustin: What type is Nancy?

Steve: Nancy's different. She's different than the other girls.

Dustin: Yeah, she seems pretty special, I guess.

Steve: Yeah. Yeah, she is.

Dustin: But this girl's special, too, you know. It's just, like, something about her.

Steve: Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hey, hey, hey.

Dustin: What?

Steve: You're not falling in love with this girl, are you?

Dustin: Uh, no. No.

Steve  Okay, good. Don't.

Dustin: I won't.

Steve: She's only gonna break your heart, and you're way too young for that shit.

Terry: Is falling in love at a young age a bad thing Steve?

Steve: For some it is.

Terry: Unless it's True Love. Take Jane as an example.

Steve/Dustin: What do you mean?

Terry: Not sure if you guys  know but I think a few months after Five disappeared. One night Jane was crying, I went to her room, asked her what was wrong. She said she was missing Five but the look on her face was different. To this day she still tries to call Five hoping he'd hear. She loves him.

Dustin: How do you know?

Terry: A mother always knows.

There was a pregnant pause before Steve speaks up.

Steve: Fabergé.

Dustin: What?

Steve: It's Fabergé Organics. Use the shampoo and conditioner, and when your hair's damp...

Dustin: It's not wet, okay?

Steve:  When it's damp...

Steve: Damp. You do four puffs of the Farrah Fawcett spray.

Dustin: Farrah Fawcett spray?

Steve: Yeah, Farrah Fawcett. You tell anyone I just told youthat and your ass is grass. You're dead, Henderson. Do you understand?

Dustin: Yup.

Steve: Okay.

Terry: Farrah Fawcett, really?

Steve: I mean, she's hot.

Dustin: Yeah.

Terry: You'd make a great older brother Steve.

[Hawkins Lab]

In the parking lot, Hopper sits in his car with the transmitter turned on.

Hopper: Hey, it's, uh... It's me. I know that I've been

gone too long, and, uh... It's... I just, I want you to

know that it's not about you and it's not about our fight. Okay? Something came up, and I will...I will explain it all when I see you. I just... I want you to know that I'm not mad. I'm just sorry. About everything. I... I don't want you to get hurt at all. And I don't wanna lose you. Just make sure you heat up some real food. Not just Eggos. And I want you to eat all the peas, even if they're mushy and gross. And... I will be home soon.

Unbeknownst to Hopper, Five is not home.

[In Will's room]

Joyce: What the hell is taking so long?

Owens had told Joyce and Bob he was going to hold a meeting but that was an hour ago.

Bob: Hey... doctors take forever, always. Just try and relax. Just be patient. You know, I just...

Joyce doesn't finish her sentence as she walks past Bob and to the guards at hall.

Joyce: Let me through. Let me through!

Guard:  You know we can't do that.

Joyce: I need to talk to...

Guard: He'll be with you shortly.

Joyce: You said that an hour ago.

In his bed Will stares down the hall at his mother trying to get past. The monitor in his room beeps rapidly.

Mike; Will.

Eleven: Will? Will?

Mike: What's wrong? Are you hurting again?

Will: Uh...I saw something.

Eleven: In your now-memories?

Will: The shadow monster. I think I know how to stop him.

[Junkyard]

Dustin, Terry and Steve arrive at the junkyard. Steve sighs and takes off his shades smirking.

Steve:Oh, yeah. Yeah, this will do. This will do just fine. Good call, dude.

The trio turn around and see the other trio.

Lucas: I said medium-well!

Dustin sighs in frustration and jealousy.

Steve: Who's that?

Dustin walks over to Lucas and grabs him by the arm pulling him away while Steve, Terry and Becky go over a plan.

Dustin: You told her?

Lucas: So what?

Dustin: "So what?"

Lucas: You wanted to tell her, too.

Dustin: But I didn't, all right? We agreed not to tell her and to look for Dart.

Lucas: Who you conveniently found.

Dustin; Are you suggesting that I'm lying?

Lucas: I'm saying you have a creepy little bond with him.

Dustin: Yeah, that was before he turned into a Demogorgon.

Lucas: And you haven't heard from Mike?

Dustin: Or El no.

Lucas: Or Will?

Dustin: No.

Lucas: Hopper?

Dustin: No! No one is around. Why do you think I'm with Steve Harrington and Ms. Ives?

Lucas Something's...

Dustin: Wrong. I agree.

Lucas: Which is why we need as much help as we can get. She didn't believe me anyway.

Dustin: You probably didn't tell it right. That must be it.

Lucas: So, we good?

Lucas extends his arm to Dustin and Dustin shakes his hand.

Steve: Hey! Dickheads!

Steve walks a piece of sheet metal and hits it on a car scaring Dustin and Lucas.

Steve: How come the only ones helping me out is the ladies? We lose light in 40 minutes. Let's go. Let's go, I said!

Dustin: All right, asshole! God!

Lucas: Okay! Stupid.

[At the Lab]

Will uses his time to make a plan to stop the shadow monster, by drawing his plan down.

Doctor: Sam, this is ludicrous.

Owens: Just give him a moment, okay?

Doctor: We don't have time...

Hopper: Hey, jackass, why don't you do us all a favor and shut up, okay?

Will: That's it.

Joyce: That's what? What... what's there, Will?

Will: I don't know. I just know he doesn't want me to see there. I think it's important.

With the new information Owens takes Hopper down to the gate with guards readying up.

Doctor:  Let's see if this kid's a wizard or schizo, Doc. First door on your right, gentlemen.

Over the vitals/heartbeat sensor all the guards are shown to be around one area.

Soldier: I'm guessing a ten.

Soldier 2: Let's not overdo it now.

[Junkyard]

Its nightfall in the junkyard. The kids and adults had a plan. Lure Dart near a pile of meat, set him on fire and beat him down. Solid plan, with Lucas on watch on top of the bus, Dustin looking from inside the bus, Steve clicking his lighter while resting his bat, Terry with an axe and Becky with a heavy pipe, solid plan. If it wasn't for Max bugging them.

Max: So you really fought one
of these things before? And you're, like, totally,

100% sure it wasn't a bear?

Steve: Shit. Don't be an idiot.

Max: Okay?

Steve: It wasn't a bear.

Dustin: Why are you even here if you don't believe us? Just go home.

Becky: Yeah maybe then she'll run into Dart, probably eat her kill her.

Terry: Becky stop.

Max: Geesh. Someone's cranky.
Everybody's a comedian?

Max grumbles as she goes up the fire exit to Lucas.

Steve: That's good. Just show
her you don't care.

Dustin: I don't.

Steve winks at Dustin

Dustin: Why are you winking, Steve? Stop.

Steve: Okay.

Terry: Told you it doesn't work all the time.

On top of the bus Lucas keeps watch as Max climbs up.

Max: It's kinda awesome.

Lucas: Huh?

Max: The fog, I mean. Looks like the ocean.

Lucas: You miss it?

Max: What?

Lucas: The ocean. The waves? California? Hawkins seems pretty lame, I bet.

Max: No, no, no, it's not that. It's just...My dad's still there. So...

Lucas: Why?

Max: It's this legal term called "divorce." See, when two married people

don't love each other anymore...Yeah. My mom and my stepdad, they wanted a fresh start away from him. As if... As if he was the problem, which is total bull. And things...are just worse now. My stepbrother's always been a dick, but now he's just angry...all the time and...Well, he can't take it

out on my mom, so...

Lucas: So he takes it out on you?

Max: I don't even know why

I'm telling you this. It's just... I know that I can

be a jerk like him sometimes, and I do not want to be like him. Ever. I guess I'm angry, too, and...

Lucas: I'm sorry.

Max: Jesus! What's wrong with me?

Lucas: Hey. You're nothing like your brother, okay? You're cool and different.

And you're super smart. And you're, like, totally tubular.

Max: Nobody actually says that, you know.

Lucas: Well, I do now. And it makes you seem really cool. I like talking with you, Mad Max.

Max: And I like talking with you, stalker.

In the midst of their conversation a growl could be heard. Lucas grabs his binoculars and looks in the distance to see nothing but the fog.

Max: You see him?

Lucas: No.

Dustin: Lucas, what's going on?

Lucas: Hold on!

Through the thick fog Lucas searches for Dart but throught the fog he can't find until he hears more growling.

Lucas: I've got eyes! Ten o'clock! Ten o'clock!

The party inside the bus rush over to the barred windows and look in the 10 direction to see nothing until a dog like creature hop on one of the cars.

Dustin: There.

Steve: What's he doing?

Dustin: I don't know.

Terry: He's just standing there.

Dart stays on top of the car not moving, only chittering.

Max: Wait. You sure that's not a dog?

Lucas: What?

[CHITTERING CONTINUES]

Lucas: He's not taking the bait. Why is he not taking the bait?

Dustin: Maybe he's not hungry?

Max: Maybe he's sick of cow.

Steve who's tired of waiting he walks to the bus door.

Terry: Steve? Steve, what are you doing?

Dustin; Steve?

Steve takes a deep breath.

Steve: Just get ready.

Steve walks out of the bus slowly making his way to the pile of meat covered in gasoline, hoping the plan works.

Steve: Come on, buddy.

Becky: What the hell is he doing?

Dustin: Expanding the menu.

Steve twirls his bat around calling Dart.

Steve: Come on, buddy. Come on, buddy. Come on. Dinner time. Human tastes better than cat, I promise.

Terry: He's insane.

Dustin: He's awesome.

Becky: Nope, he's just Steve.

On top of the bus Lucas and Max watch Steve standing in the open but Lucas looks to the left and to his surprise it's another Demogorgon dog.

Lucas: Steve, watch out!

Steve: A little busy here!

Lucas: Three o'clock! Three o'clock!

Steve looks to his left and his fear rose to 1000 as he's sees another Dart. Dustin not wanting to lose another friend he runs to the entrance and opens the door.

Dustin: Steve! Steve! Abort! Abort!

Terry: Steve, run!

Becky: Steve, hurry!

Lucas: Steve, run!

With adrenaline Steve runs back to the bus. Once inside Dustin closes it with Max and Lucas coming back down from the roof.

Steve: Shit!

Max: Are they rabid or something?

Becky: They're not dogs!

Dustin:They can't get in! They can't!

The bus doors are hit knocking Dustin down. Steve and Becky push the door holding it with all their strength. Dustin panicking runs to his radio:

Dustin: Shit! Is anyone there? Mike? Will? Eleven? God! Anyone! We're at the old junkyard, and we are going to die!

Suddenly they hear a bang on the roof as it goes down the bus roof. Max stares at the fire exit on the roof as a head appears. Max in shock scream as what could possibly be Dart opens it face roaring at her. Max still frozen is pulled back by Terry and Becky while Steve taunts it.

Steve: Out of the way! You want some? Come get this!

The screeching stops as Steve, Terry and Becky stare at each other. The monsterbrun off into the woods leaving the adults and Steve nervous.

Steve: Jeez.

Max: What happened?

Lucas: I don't know.

Dustin: Steve scared 'em off?

Steve: No. No way. They're going somewhere.

Becky: Believe us now kid?

Terry: First we had a Demogorgon now we have a Demogorgon in the form of a dog.

Becky: And who knows how many there are.

Steve: Next time you little shits find something like that, tell, me, Hopper or Nancy or Johnathan.

In the lab the scientists, Owens and Hopper watch from the monitor as the military team walk in the tunnel to Will's location.

Tech: Almost there, ladies.

MP: Roger. All right, stay frosty, boys.

With the camera on the soldiers the lab can see everything in the tunnels.

Hopper: Wait. That's where I was.

Owens: What?

Hooper: It's that damn graveyard.

Soldier: Sir, there's nothing here.

Tech: Looks like your kid's full of shit, Doc

Hopper: Alot smarter than you.

Soldier: Got some kind
of fog moving in now.

In his room Will whimpers.

Will: I'm sorry.

Joyce: What? What do you mean, sweetie?

Will: He made me do it.

Joyce: Who? Who made you do what?

Eleven: Oh no.

Joyce turns to El and Mike who've pieced it all together.

Will: I told you. They upset him. They shouldn't have done that. They shouldn't have upset him.

Mike: The spy.

In an attempt to warm them before it was to late Mike runs out of the room but is stopped by the guards.

Mike: The spy! I need to get through! It's a trap! It's a trap! I need to warn them.

It's a trap!

Joyce: Will, sweets, talk to me. You got to help me understand.

Will: It's too late. You should go now. They're almost here.

In the basement of the lab, Hopper, Owens and the scientists stare at the heartbeat sensor as they all vanish but dozens appear before then rushing in where the soldiers came from at high speed.

They all look towards the gate/hole and in the hold comes out Dart.
