As Five is still breathing heavily as Karen opens the door to Mike's room finding her son in bed. But with Five breathing heavily, Eleven was silently panicking, seeing he with his eyes closed and breathing heavy. He must be having a panic attack. Quickly thinking she slowly wraps her arms protectively around Five.

Eleven:(Quietly) Shhh, it's okay, she won't hurt you, I won't hurt you either.

Eleven is giving the boy reassuring words trying to keep him calm. It works as his breathing slows down but his eyes are closed and he is soon brought to tears.

Five: (Quietly) I'm sorry.

Before Eleven can ask what he means. The door opens and its Mike sighing in relief but soon raises an eyebrow at the scene in his closet.

Mike: Is everything okay here?

Five obviously lying he still nods anyway.

Eleven: Are you sure?

Five puts on his slight smile.

Five: Promise.

Later that afternoon Dustin and Lucas arrive and shut the door behind them as they see Five sitting on Mike's bed.

Lucas: Are you two out of your minds.

Mike: Listen to us for a second.

Lucas: ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND!

Eleven: He knows about Will.

Dustin: What do you mean he knows about Will?

Mike holds up their science fair photo.

Eleven: He pointed at him in the picture. He knows he was missing. I can tell.

Lucas: (skeptical) You can tell?

Mike: Just think about it. Do you really think kts convient we found him on Mirkwood, the same road will disappeared on?

Dustin turns to Lucas with his eyebrows raised.

Dustin: He does have a point, that is weird.

Eleven: And he thinks bad people are after him. I think that these bad people are the same ones that took Will. I think he knows what happened to him.

Lucas is still skeptical.

Lucas: Then why doesn't he tell us.

Lucas rushes over to Five.

Lucas: Do you know where Will is.

He grabs Five by the shoulders.

Lucas: DO YOU KNOW WHERE HE IS?

Mike: Lucas stop youre scaring him!

Lucas: He should be scared. If you know where he is, tell us now!

Five doesn't respond.

Lucas: this is nuts, we're taking him to your mom.

Eleven: No! Five said telling any adult would put us in danger.

Dustin: His name is Five?

Lucas: (mocking) His name is Five.

Dustin: Mike, Jane, what kind of danger?

Mike: DANGER danger.

Eleven then copies what Five did that morning making a finger gun and pointing it between Dustin's eyes. Lucas angrily smack Elevens hand away.

Lucas:  No, no, no! We're going back to Plan A and telling your mom.

Lucas rushes to the door opening it only for it to slam shut. Lucas opens it again for it to slam shut again but this time the lock on the door engages. The four children slowly turn in unison to Five, who's standing with blood dripping from his left nostril.

Five: No.

Sitting around the table in the dining room. Mike, Lucas and Dustin are lost in thought and Eleven poking her meatloaf.

Karen: Something wrong with the meatloaf?

Dustin: Ah, no, I had two bologna sandwiches for lunch.

Lucas: Me too.

Karen: (To Eleven) Jane you okay sweetie?

Eleven: I'm fine, just thinking.

Nancy: It's delicious Mom.

Karen: Thank you Sweetie.

Nancy: So...there's this assembly at school tonight, I was thinking I'd take the boy and Jane. Barb's driving.

Karen: Why am I just now hearing about this?

Nancy: I thought you knew.

Karen: I told you I don't want you out after dark until Will is found. 

Karen sighs.

Karen: Just be back by ten.

Just then Eleven and Mike sees Five walking down the stairs cause Eleven to go wide eyed and Mike to spit out his drink. Karen turns to see what's behind her but Dustin pounds on the table making the dishes clatter

Dustin: Sorry, spasm.

Lucas turns to Mike.

Lucas: (whispering) What do we do now?

Holly is spooked as she slouched in her chair and is about to cry.

Karen: It's okay Holly. It's just a loud noise.

The 4 kids leave the dinner table to go upstairs, Nancy follows stopping them at the stairs.

Nancy: You brat better hurry.

Mike: Just go, I already know where you're headed.

Nancy: What's that supposed to mean?

Mike: Wasn't it night you were blaming the curfew on Will, besides its just a ploy to get into Steve's pants.

Mike points out a little loudly. Nancy shushes her brother leaning over to see the dining room hoping Karen didn't hear.

Eleven: Well just bike there.

The four rush back upstairs leaving a mildly confused Nancy.

Inside the basement, Five sits comfortably in the makeshift bedroom. He is currently flicking switches on Jane's walkie. Mike soon comes down with a tray of food.

Mike: Five.

Dustin, Lucas and Eleven are behind him Mike walks over to Five as Eleven sits in front of him.

Eleven: No adults, just us and some meatloaf.

Five says nothing but looks up at Lucas and Dustin, wary of then.

Mike: Don't worry they won't tell anyone about you. They promise. Right?

Dustin: We never would have upset you if we knew you had superpowers.

Mike smacks Dustin.

Eleven: What Dustin is trying to say is that they were just scared...earlier. That's all.

Lucas: We just wanna find our friend.

Five: Friend?

Lucas: Yeah, our friend. Will.

Five: What is a friend.

Lucas: Is he serious

Mike: It's someone that you'd do anything for.

Dustin: You lend then your cool stuff, like comic books and trading cards.

Mike: And they never break a promise.

Lucas: Especially when there's spit.

Five: Spit?

Lucas: A spit swear means...(he spits on both his left and right hand) you never break your word. (Shakes both Mike and Dustin's hand) its a bond.

Dustin and Mike both grossed out look down at their hands.

Eleven: It's super important, because friends...they tell each other everything. Things not even parents know.

Five is suspicious about the friends thing but says nothing.

Five sits at the D&D table. It's not game ready, but there is six miniatures on the board surface. Five focuses on them.

Lucas: What's the weirdo doing?

Five places the palm of his hand on the board, closes his eyes. The four move closer.

Eleven: Five.

After a second Five opens his eyes and reaches down to pick up the wizard figure. He holds it close examining it.

Five: Will.

Dustin: (Turning to Mike and Lucas) Superpowers

Lucas rolls his eyes as Eleven sits down next to Five.

Eleven: Did you see him on Mirkwood? Do you know where he is?

Using his arms, Five sweep the board clean and flips it upside down showing the black surface and Five places the wizard in the board in the center of it.

Mike: I dont get it?

Five: Hiding?

Mike: Will is hiding?

Five nods.

Eleven: from the Bad men?

Five shakes his head.

Eleven: Then from who?

Five then places another figure in the board. The Demogorgon.

At the Byers, Joyce is sitting in front of her new home phone. The phone rings once and she answers it.

Joyce: Hello?

No response.

Joyce: Hello?

She hears muffled breathing then static.

Joyce: Who is this?

Whimpering.

Joyce: Will?

More whimpering.

Joyce: (starting to cry) Will? Will it's me. Talk to me. I'm here. Just tell me where you are, honey please.

Will: Mom?

The lights in her house flicker, she doesn't notice as she hears the distorted voice but she knows it's her youngest.

Joyce: Will, yes sweetie it's me.

Joyce then hears the same animal chittering as before.

Joyce: Where are you? Where are you honey, just talk to me.

The lights get brighter, then dim as an electrical current shoots out of the receiver shocking her again.

Joyce: No, no, no.

The lights then flicker again, then go off, it flickers twice. Joyce walks down the hallway to Jonathan's room. The lights flicker again.

Joyce: Johnathan?

She stops once she notices the pattern flickering lights.

Joyce: What?

Rapidly the lights flicker, on, then off, then on again. As if it were Morse code. Unsure of what's happening Joyce hugs the wall as she makes her way to Johnathans room. A blast of music goes off and Joyce gasps. The music comes from Wills bedroom. It's playing. SHOULD I STAY OR SHOULD I GO by The Clash. The door is closed but through the cracks Joyce can see the lights flicker again.

She masters the courage and enters the room, slowly walking in.

Joyce: Will? Is that you?

She asks. The lamp on Will's desk brightens. The lights shut off as well as the music stops. The wall beside the lap, it stretches out as if it were made of rubber. A face, then hands reach out and break through the wall with a growl. Joyce screams and runs out of the house dashing for her car not looking back. She fumbles with the keys as the car starts but at that moment the music continues. Joyce looks at the window seeing the lights flicker again.

Joyce: Will.

Unsure of what to do the song reaches its chorus, Should I stay or should I go. Joyce kills the engine, take a breath and gets out of her car, slowly making her way to the front door. She enters and looks down to Will's bedroom as the light continues to flicker. She makes it to the door and steps inside.

In Steve Harrington's backyard pool, Barbara sits on the edge of the diving board, her feat dancing in the water, she's lost in thought. Her thumb is bandaged but not well enough. A single drop of blood drips into the pool. She looks at the bloody bandage as the lights in the pool begin to flicker then darken. A large shadow covers Barb in complete darkness. She quickly turns her head as the figure growls.

Barbara scream in fear as we now see the pool is empty. Not a thing left behind, not even the blood.
