"Maya, are you ready for the meeting?"

Sophia popped her head into Maya's cabin as the Chindian girl was buried under the mess of her documents, piling everywhere.

"Just a min." Maya said, not looking up from her laptop as she was typing away, at the same time scribbling some notes on her book.

"Mr Hoseok has requested your presence in 10 minutes. You're due for a conference call."

Maya looked up at Sophia, one of the junior assistant who recently joined Gardler, reporting to Hoseok directly.

"Ah shit, I kind of overlooked that. Alright, I'll be on my way. Thanks Sophia."

The Chindian girl was so swamped with her work, and without Parker by her side, she was mayhem. Leaving Parker behind in Seoul was a brilliant idea coz it was so much lesser in hassle as the purple head was doing a tremendous job keeping up the pace she left two weeks ago.

Maya took her phone and notes before walking across to Hoseok's cabin. Jin was supposed to join in the update but since he requested for the day off to stay with his baby, it'll only be Hoseok and Maya.

"Morning gorgeous." Hoseok greeted, as he stood from his chair, welcoming Maya into his warm embrace.

"Hey, sunshine."

Hoseok giggled at that nickname. Now that they have been going on a couple of dates, getting closer than ever, Maya started to create cute little nicknames for Hoseok making the man a happy bean.

"Tough morning?" Maya nodded to that question as she rested a little while in Hobi's hug, burying her face in the crook of his neck.

Thankfully, Hoseok's glass cabin has been covered with blinds, allowing the near couple some privacy to misbehave from time to time. Of coz, nothing extreme happened between the duo but they definitely have shared a kiss or two which might have lead to a good make-out session after dinner on nights they spent.

"Ready for the meeting? Parker must have been dying to see you again."

"I really do miss him." Maya said, freeing herself from Hoseok's warm body as he held onto her hand, bringing her to the table, ready to have their conference call.

"I know. He will be back for a visit. VC project planning is ending in a week." Hoseok assured her lady love.

"Can't believe how fast the planning is coming to an end. After this, it's all gonna be the builder's work isn't it?" Maya felt excited, can't wait to watch her vision come to life.

"You're really adorable, you know that?" Hoseok said, turning his chair to face Maya as she sat beside him, smiling like a little kid.

"I'm just happy this project is going on positively."

"That's coz you're a star Maya." Hoseok leaned in, kissed her on the lips, making sure Maya knows she is well appreciated.

"Thanks." Maya blushed, something she ended up doing each time Hoseok is near her, which is quite often these days.

"Eherm, hello?"

Both Maya and Hoseok turned their head to the direction of the voice. They saw the screen was coming to live with Parker who wiggled his brows at them, catching them in the act.

"I see how well you guys have blossomed over the weeks. Having fun without me I see?" Parker added, adjusting his screen, revealing more headcount as seconds passed by.

"Hey Parker, how are you?" Hoseok asked, releasing Maya's hand from his grip but still sat relatively close, fitting them both together in the screen.

"Hey Parker, miss you." Maya added, genuinely missing her best friend and sidekick.

"I know, I miss you all too!"

"Now let's stop the drama and get some business out of the way shall we?" It was Taehyung. He was seated at a far corner, not interested to join upfront in the screen.

The dirty blond did notice how close Maya and Hoseok have gotten. The lesser he knew, the better it is. Although he wishes nothing but the best for Maya, he knows that the best for Maya is him, not anyone else.

"Oh hello there Taehyung didn't see you there." Hoseok said, after noticing Tae who was seated at the couch, dressed in all black, making his dirty blond head strike out even more.

Maya quickly tried to scan through the screen, taking in as much visual of the blond as she could. That's when she noticed how Tae have grown a tiny mullet, which is touching his neck softly, still keeping his forehead exposed as she loves.

"Yes, we shall begin. So for the updates on behalf of Gardler...."

And that's how Maya cleared her throat, put in her professional hat on and spearheaded the meeting with all the pair of ears and eyes on her.

"...and the project's final end date will be 1 year from now as the building phase commenced, rendering us just enough time to allow your move in to complete by the new year 2022."

"Perfect, that will be a good anniversary gift for Taehyung's birthday and our trio's take over of VC." Jimin clapped his eyes like a seal, feeling the excitement.

"Thanks a lot Maya, I'm glad the planning phase and observation are ending in one more week. I can return Parker to you for a brief period."

Namjoon said, knowing very well that Maya needed her sidekick.

"As a matter of fact Namjoon, I was thinking of extending an invite to the VC group to join my BigHit entertainment public launch happening in a couple of weeks. It is an invite-only party, I have informed the owner to reserve me some seats for important clients of mine."

Hoseok explained, showing his interest to extend his invite for the cousin brothers. Maya didn't know this was in the plan on Hoseok's agenda. She of coz didn't mind to have them over, everything is cool now, isn't it?

"Oh really? That's very kind of you Hoseok." Jimin got excited, thinking of more days to possibly spend with his boyfriend.

"I will get my secretary to arrange all the tickets and accommodation to suit your needs. I can't wait to have you all over here. It will be amazing to host you in my city." Hoseok was looking forward to returning their kind favour.

"We will be delighted to Hoseok. Never would I reject the chance to meet some other potential business partners from other industries." Namjoon validated their presence.

"Cool, then Maya and I will wait for the day to welcome you all here. Take care guys." Hoseok waved at the screen, ending the call.

Hoseok closed his laptop shut, turning his attention back to his girl.

"You didn't tell me about inviting the VC brothers for the party." Maya asked, pretty sure she was aware of the party as she is going as Hoseok's plus one.

"Mr Suga extended his invite for additional partners this morning."

Maya nodded, recalling how kind Mr Suga is as well. A very young and establish music producer, running his own label. He started as a small and street rapper, ended up finding his passion and effort being paid when he collaborated with another smaller label owner JK to run their own business.

"I need to get some things in the house cleaned, Parker will be frantic if he sees his stuff are not cleaned for months."

Maya chuckled. She was so busy returning from Seoul for a couple of weeks ago. Poor girl has not even unpacked her suitcases which laid to rest on the living room, making it a mess.

"You need my help darling?"

"Nah, all good. I know you have a trip to Chicago for a week, I'll just take care of the things here and back home myself."

"You sure? You can come with me too and I'll ask someone to clean up your home."

"Hoseok...I told you, no favouritism." Maya shushed the boy with a sweet kiss on his cheeks.

"Um, how about you try that again but this time landing at my lips and I will think about it again?" Hoseok asked with a serious look on his face.

"You're so cheeky." Maya threw her head back in laughter, walking back to the man who had this serious look on his face as she properly kissed him on the lips, caught in a small make-out session afterwards.

The past two weeks have been nothing but a slow and steady joyful progress with Hoseok. Maya has been enjoying her time back in LA, the place she grew accustomed to as memories of the past slowly losing the effect on her as Hoseok filled her with something new.
