Something what never cease to amaze me, is, how other people live. Things who are very normal to them are...strange to me. If I'm lucky.

Well... but sometimes I have no luck. And then bad luck kicks in. ;-)

“Not again” the friendly looking woman sighed exasperated. Why she invited that german girl - she had no clue.

“What’s wrong?” she went to the shaking woman in the living room.

“Is there a nuclear power plant nearby?”

“No?” she asked, a bit taken aback.

“Did I miss an Alien attack?”

“No?” she grinned. That woman was fun after all.

“Are we still on Planet Earth?” the german town kid focused a certain point near the ceiling.

“Yep. Last time I checked.” Rae now grinned widely. “Why do you ask?”

The other woman pointed at the ceiling. “Than explain THAT to me!!!!” her eyes wide in fear. “This is a bloody monster.”

Rae doubled over, laughing loud. “No silly. That is simply a huntsman. Where the huntsmen are there are no cockroaches. We even gave them names. Please - meet Mr. Willoughby."

“COCKROACHES???” the german woman yelled? “Where the heck am I?” Rae grinned. “In Australia.”

The blonde woman sat down at a sofa, exhausted. “And don’t get me started with that monster in the front yard this morning."

“You mean the red backs?” Rae asked, grinning. “We know there’s one - you screamed loud enough to wake a whole cemetery. Come on, they are not so bad. And they’re beautiful.”

The woman looked at her, incredulously. “Beautiful. A spider who caught a fucking lizard. A LIZARD. Whatever eats a lizard could easily eat ME!!!”

Rae asked curiously. “Don’t you have any spiders in germany?”

“A lot of. But they have a decent appearance. Small enough to not destroy your wallpaper if you caress them with a slipper. But THIS? You need a crossbow for this. Or better a grenade launcher. Not a slipper.” she woman shuddered.

Rae grinned at her widely. “Hey, girl. At least you didn’t see our snakes.”

And seeing the german woman paling visibly she doubled over once more.
