I did not want to go to school today. I had gotten no sleep the night before. I walked out of my room cleaning my glasses on my shirt then placing them on my nose. "Mom?" No response she must have left early for work again. And dad was away on a business trip.

I made myself some toast before going back to my room and getting dressed. I headed out of my house locking the door behind me. I grabbed my bike and headed off to school. I pulled up to my school and put my bike next to his in the bike rack as I always did.

Even though I never talked to him I had a huge crush on him. He was so cute and kind and was into the same things as me. But I've never had the nerve to talk to him.

Today was Halloween and I was going to wear my Darth Vader costume but I decided not to. Instead I just brought my lightsaber it was clipped to my belt loop. I sat down in class mr Clarke's class,I liked Mr Clarke he had a way of making the class more fun. Then he walked in with his friends all of them in ghostbusters outfits proton packs and all. Everyone laughed but I thought it was cool. The proton packs looked really good. They all sat down him right in front of me as always.

After school I was thinking about finally going up to him and saying how cool his costume was. But I was to chicken once again I was getting my bike off the rack when I heard his voice behind me.

"Hey is that I lightsaber?" Oh god he's talking to me. I turned around to face him. And gave a small smile trying to hide how hot my face felt.

"Y-ya it's Vader's" I said.

"That's awesome" he said with his cute little lisp.

"Thanks!" I said

"Emily right?"

"Um ya"

"I'm Dustin"

"Ya I know" I shoot why did I say that I quickly thought of something to say so it wouldn't be as awkward. "I sit behind you in Mr Clarke's class." Please by it please by it!

"Oh you do?" He asked,I nodded

"Oh well hey do you want to go trick-or-treating with us tonight?" He asked.

"Um is that ok with your friends?" I asked trying not to explode with excitement as to what he had just asked me.

Dustin turned around to look at his friends then turned back to me. "Ya there fine with it" he said.

"Ok ya I'd love to" I said.

"Ok sweet see you tonight" Dustin said pulling his bike out of the rack and riding of with his friends.

Oh my god Dustin Henderson just asked me to go trick-or-treating with him. Best day ever!!!
