The next ship we stopped at was a wand shop named Ollivanders Fine Wands since 328 B.C. We walked inside the shop when a short,slim man appeared in front of me.Before I could even react he was measuring me."What is your wand arm?" Ollivander asked."Um..I'm right handed" I said with a confused look on my face.Ollivander ran to the back of the shop and brought back a slim black box.He opened it and pulled a type of wand.He put it in my hand and the room lit up."PERFECT!" Ollivander screeched."Wha' type of wand is it?" Hagrid asked." Larch wood with a phoenix feather core, 11 ¾" and quite bendy flexibility"Ollivander replied."Thank you sir" I said."Yes Mr.Sprout,have a good year at Hogwarts." And then he disappeared behind the shelfs.How did he know my name???"Well let's get on with it" Hagrid said sounding tired already.And that day Hagrid and I got everything we need for Hogwarts.

The day of September 1st came and me and Hagrid were already in the train station at 9:09.The train leaves at 10:00 but Hagrid wanted to tell me how and when to get to the platform 9 3/4.I noted that this man is mad for thinking there is a 9 3/4 platform.But I soon figured out that he wasn't Lieing.
Hagrid said to run straight into the platform wall between platforms 9+10.So I did and I ended up on a whole new platform.A large red train labeled the Hogwarts Express was on the tracks letting off steam.Hagrid appeared a few moments later and then a girl I recognized from school named Elizabeth Lovegood.I waved Hi and she smiled and kept going.

Finally at 10:00 the train departed and I ended up in the same cart as Emma and another girl and boy (twins) named Fred and Ashley Weasley.We all talked about ourselves and then Emma explained she
was a pure blood,when your mom and dad are both wizards.She then explained the other two and I found out I was a muggle born.Fred and Ashley were pureblood also.When we finally got to Hogwarts a women with the name of "Professor McGonagall".She strictly explained that Hogwarts has four houses.Hufflepuff,The loyal and nice,Ravenclaw,the wise and clever,gryffindor,the brave,and Slytherin,the cunning.She said that in a short period of time we will be sorted into one of those houses,which will be like our family while your at Hogwarts.She walked off to go get us ready for the sorting.I was very nervous

At last Professor McGonagall came back with a scroll.She opened the doors of the Hall and she motioned to follow.I was amazed at what I saw.Hundreds of students at 4 tables,1 table up front with adult,the sky INSIDE a building and floating candles.Everyone in my group whispered.Professor McGonagall then stopped in front of a stool and a hat."As I call your name please step forward and sit on the stool.I will then place the sorting hat on your head and you will be sorted into a house"she said. "Darren's,Josh" A small boy stepped forward and sat on the stool shaking.The sorting hat thought for around 5 seconds then shouted "SLYTHERIN"The table on the far right clapped and cheered. "Fenwick,Cherry" A average sized girl stepped forward and sat down."RAVENCLAW" the hat shouted.  The process went again and again.Emma got sorted into Ravenclaw.Another boy and girl into Slytherin.A skinny boy into Hufflepuff. Then I heard "Sprout,Levon"I stepped forward and sat down facing the Hall. Right when the hat touched my head it shouted "HUFFLEPUFF!" The 2nd table cheered and clapped.I ran to the table and sat down getting pat on the back by the person next to me who I found out was another first year Gavin Hill and the girl named Ally Reds.They both said hello and they opened a space in between them for me to sit down.Te Weasley twins,Fred and Ashely,were the last to be sorted (into gryffindor). The woman up front then said a few words and said a few words of welcome.He then mentioned a few teachers like Professor Rally and Professor Binns.Then he snapped his fingers and food filled our plates.This was going to be a good year.
