Y/N made it to the pizza restaurant as she changes her clothes, ready to start her shift. Balancing a tower of plates with one hand, she quickly dished out her servings to the people.

Their frowns soon shifted into a look of pure joy as the colorful pizza filled their stomachs. The freshly baked birthday cake pizza invaded her nose, a sweet yet savory smell.

Satisfied its the number of sprinkles that held inside the small bottle, she flicked her wrist, laying a nice coat of colorful sprinkles over the white frosting pizza before closing the cap of the bottle. Grabbing the icing, she spun that silver platter that held three plates of the sugary dessert pizzas, covering them with the sweet white icing.

With a spring in her step, she happily placed a plate of freshly baked birthday cake pizzas in front of the children, wearing a birthday hats. Taking a bite, the children chewed on it for a second before swallowing it with a delightful grin spread across their faces as they gave her a grateful smile before digging in like wild animals.

The parents gave her a smile. Y/N turned back to them, smiling back before sending a wink the children's way.

Something touched her, startling her. With wide eyes, Y/N whipped her head around only to be face to face with her boss, who held an amused look.

She gives him a sheepish smile before her boss began to toss the newly cooked dishes of pizza her way, causing her to fumble around as she caught each one- even one on her foot. Stepping out of the door, Y/N sprays the glass and starts wiping it to clean the glass before going to another glass window where the customers are sitting there eating.

As she cleans, she stopped momentarily to see a man with sunglasses she never thought she would see again... Foreman Spike. Her ex-boyfriend.

That's right, her ex-boyfriend. She glares at him as he walks inside and sits, looking at the menu.

Y/N grips the spray bottle hard as she watches him, never forgetting that day.

~ FLASHBACK ~

Y/N was giggling as she held the wrapped-up present in her hand. Today was Spike's birthday, and she got a surprise for him.

She had bought a Wood Phone Docking Station Ash Key Holder Wallet Stand Watch Organizer. She thought it would be a good idea since he wears his stuff a lot and might need something to keep his accessories and other important things safe where he can see.

She skips across the street and sings, "Can't Help Falling In Love With You". She summons her wings and flies into the air without being seen.

Her eyes lit up at some flowers and picks them, tying them with the ribbon to make the present nicer. Y/N did a backflip in the air, feeling so in love.

She flies over the city as she looks around for any sight of her boyfriend. She sees some kids and gives them a wink, surprising them to see a girl with wings.

She lands on a lamppost to take a break from flying until she gasps to see Spike standing by the alleyway. Y/N hops off and runs over to him, about to call out when a female voice beat her to it.

"Spikey!", the female cheered. Her eyes widened to see some girl as she runs into Spike's open arms.

He spins her around with a happy smile on his face. Then what he did next broke her heart into pieces.

Spike kisses the girl. Y/N gasped at this, feeling betrayed.

She slowly turns around and looks down at the present for a moment before throwing it to the ground and running off, sobbing. Spike pulled away and froze to see her retreating figure.

He winces, knowing he messed up really badly. He then sees a damaged present with a tag attached to it saying, "Happy Birthday, Spike! - Y/N".

Mario and Luigi were chatting as they were having an ice cream break when they saw Y/N running toward them. They froze to see her tear-stained face as she jumps into their arms, causing them to drop their ice cream.

"Whoa! Sissy, what's wrong?", Mario asked with concern. "Are you okay?", Luigi asked.

"Just... take me back home...", Y/N sobbed out. They nodded and guided her home, forgetting about the ice cream while attempting to comfort her.

Y/N is now in her bedroom, crying her eyes out into the pillow. Just then, a soft knock was heard on her door and then it was opened.

She looks up to see a concerned mom. "Y/N? Sweetie? What happened?", her mother asked.

Y/N gets off of her bed and walks over, wiping the tears off. "I-I don't want to talk about it.", Y/N replied.

"You sure?", her mother asked. "Yes... I just... need to be alone.", Y/N sighed.

"Okay... but we're here for you, you know?", her mother said. "I know...", Y/N said back.

Y/N then gently closed the door, leaving her mom staring at the door. The dad comes over and looks at his wife, who gives him a look to say to give her some space.

He nods in understanding.

Y/N begins to feel confident and determined as she glares ahead before spreading her wings.

She then jumps out of the window and flies away. Before she knew it, Y/N was practicing wood sword fighting with her fencing teacher.

Y/N dodges the attack as she swings it back.

With one swing, her and her teacher's wooden sword was broken off, making her smile.

Another thing she did was kung fu fighting as she perfected them while finding inner peace before she was given a belt for her great skills. Later, Y/N stands on top of the roof and fixes her hair into a ponytail before she starts changing her clothes.

She puts on her shirt before placing an overall over it. Then she puts on her combat boots, her cap with a letter of her first name on it, and her (F/C) pearl earrings.

Y/N opens her case to reveal her own that was given by her fencing teacher. Smiling, she takes out her sword and points it up.

She summons her wings from her necklace and jumps off the roof, flying around freely while swinging her sword and kicking and punching the air. She sees Spike with the same girl and glares.

Smirking, she sees a bucket full of white paint and it's above those two. Y/N 'accidentally' hits the bucket with her hips as it tipped over, causing the paint to fall down toward Spike and his new girlfriend.

They looked up a little too late as the paint splattered over them, causing them to scream. Y/N laughs at this as they tried to get the paint off.

They will surely have a hard time getting the paint off their body, especially their hair when they take a shower. That's what he gets for cheating on her.

She then flies off to the zoo and waves at the animals. She whistles over to the monkeys, who look at her.

She points to the tree full of berries and gestures to them as if asking them a favor. Getting what she was saying, they climbed over to the tree and grabbed the branch, and pulled, ready for her signal.

Y/N backflips in the air and charges toward the tree with the sword raised. The monkey then lets go of the branch, causing the berries to fall out towards her.

With a quick swing, she slices off the berries in half.

Y/N flies around before spreading out her wings with intimidation, feeling like a different person now and not some sad, lonely girl anymore.

Y/N was snapped out of her daze as a familiar ding rang throughout the chattering atmosphere. "Order up!", her boss called out, dropping a big plate of pizza on the serving shelf.

She didn't realize she was back inside the restaurant and looked over to see that the only pizza she needs to serve is Spike. Great... Y/N reluctantly takes the plate and places it right in front of him.

"Enjoy the pizza...", Y/N said, not looking at him. Just as she goes to walk away, his voice stopped her.

"Well, well, Y/N. How're you doing, N/N?", Spike smirked. Y/N turned and glared daggers.

"Don't... call me that.", Y/N growled. "Come on, you used to love that nickname I gave you, remember?", Spike said.

"Not anymore. You cheated on me, remember?", Y/N told him. "I know what I did, and I regret it.", Spike continued.

Y/N scoffs, rolling her eyes. "Where's your supposed new girlfriend?", Y/N asked.

Spike frowned, looking down. "She left me with some guy who makes more money than me.", Spike replied.

"Well, isn't she a gold digger? Not surprised.", Y/N said, sarcastically. "Come on, babe. Give me a chance.", Spike pleaded.

"Never. I'd rather kiss a turtle than date you again. I'm busy right now. Good day.", Y/N stated. With those words, she turned her back on him and walked away.

A familiar ding on the door made her turn to see Mario and Luigi. She smiled and waved at them.

They smiled back at her and rushed over. "Is our video here yet?", Mario asked.

"You'll have to wait and see.", Y/N said. On cue, they heard a theme song going on TV and turned around.

The screen showed Mario and Luigi back to back with their arms crossed.

Mario and Luigi hold each other close and after watching the whole thing, they turned to each other and cheered. "Wow! You were great!", Mario praised, as he flicked Luigi's hat in excitement.

"I was great? Are you kidding me, you were great!", Luigi said, before giving a few quick jabs at Mario. "I am so glad we spent our life savings on this commercial. Thank you again (Y/N) for sparing us the cash.", Mario said.

He hugs his un-expecting sister, as she was carrying a tray of drinks. "Whoa, there! You gonna make me spill the drinks! Besides it's not a big deal.", (Y/N) exclaimed, as Mario continued to mess with her hat.

"Big deal? Come on sis, with this commercial we can finally get our business up and running.", Mario said with a smile. "That was not a commercial! That is cinema.", Luigi claimed, making the girl giggle at his declaration.

"Eh... What about the accents? Is it... Is it too much?", Mario questioned reflecting the heavy Italian accents they used in the commercial. Before any of his siblings could answer...

"Too much? It's a-perfect! Wahoo!", a man at the retro arcade game answered in his own accent. "Okay, I'm gonna trust you.", Mario expressed with a smile.

"Well, well, well. If it isn't Brooklyn's favorite failures, The Stupid Mario Brothers.", Spike announced, as he ate his pizza. "Well, great! Spike's here.", Luigi exclaimed, as Mario starts to walk up to the obnoxious man.

"Mario, don't!", (Y/N) tried to stop her brother. But...

RANG!

"(Y/N)! We need you back here!", one of the cooks called out from the kitchen. "Okay, be there in a minute.", (Y/N) said, rushing over.

"Hey, Spike.", Mario said in a flat tone, glaring at his ex-boss with his arms crossed. "Yeah! It's-a me!", Spike mocked in their tone, before laughing and taking off his sunglasses to wipe off his tear.

"Tell me, have you even gotten one call since you left to start your dumb company?", Spike asked, putting his sunglasses back on. Before Mario could reply, Luigi beat him to it.

"As a matter of fact, Spike, we have.", Luigi said, showing him his phone. Mario then looks surprised.

"Wow, really?", Mario asked. "Ah, yeah. Our mom called and she said, 'Oh, boy! It's a super cool commercial I've ever seen!' And I said, thank you very much, mother. We're very proud of it.'", Luigi explained, causing Mario to get embarrassed.

"So, boom!", Luigi continued and dropped his phone, causing a cracking sound. Luigi's eyes widened in realization what he had done and regretted, while Mario adjusts his cap to cover his eyes in embarrassment.

This left Spike amused to this and laughed, as he wiped his mouth with a napkin. "Good luck winning a business with this idiot.", Spike said and proceed to throw a ball of napkin towards Luigi.

Luigi shrieked when Mario caught it before it could hit him. Mario glared up at Spike.

"Say that again about my brother and you're gonna regret it.", Mario said. He throws a napkin back at Spike as it hits his forehead.

"And that's for cheating on my sister and hurting her.", Mario continued. This made Spike angry as he stands up from his seat and towers over Mario.

"Oh, yeah?", Spike asked. Mario gets ready to fight him back when Spike grabbed him by the straps of his overalls and pulled him towards his face.

"Get this through your tiny brain, Mario. You're a joke and you always will be.", Spike growled. He then drops him.

Suddenly, a finger tapped Spike on the shoulder and when he turned, his face turned pale to see a dark glare on Y/N's face. "Oh, uh... hey... N/N?", Spike asked, nervously.

Without a word, Y/N stepped on his foot and swiftly grabbed his arm and twisted it behind his back, forcing him to leave. "Ow! Hey! Wait! Is that mistletoe I see?", Spike asked.

He was then thrown out of the restaurant on his back not before Y/N came out and takes his money from his pocket that he was supposed to pay for the pizza he just ate and wasted, before going back inside the restaurant.

"Ugh, I wasted so much time with a big jerk like that...", Y/N said. She walks over to Mario and helps him up along with Luigi.

"You alright, bro?", Y/N asked. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just can't stand that guy.", Mario said, adjusting his cap and dusting himself off.

"Also, nice move for kicking him out.", Mario continued. "Oh, I've been wanting to do that to him for a while if he crossed the line.", Y/N said with a smile.

"Are you insane?! He's three times your size!", Luigi exclaimed in disbelief. "Luigi, come on. I mean, you can't be scared all the time.", Mario said.

"He's right. You gotta toughen up and stand up to them. Like me and Mario.", Y/N added. "Oh, you'd be surprised.", Luigi grinned.

Suddenly, they heard a noise and looked down to see it coming from Luigi's phone ad Luigi picked it up and answered. "Hello, Super Mario Brothers. Uh-huh. A drip in your faucet?", Luigi said.

This got Mario and Y/N excited along with Luigi. "That's great!", Luigi continued.

Mario and Y/N shook their head and Luigi immediately corrected himself. "I mean, that's great you called us because we can be there and we can fix it right away, okay.", Luigi said.

As soon as he ended the call, he turned to his siblings with pure excitement. "Mario, Y/N, we got one!!", Luigi cheered.

He grabbed Mario and Y/N's shoulder and shook them. "The Super Mario Brothers are in business!", Luigi continued.

"Woo-hoo!", Mario exclaimed. "Yeah!", Y/N exclaimed.

Mario and Luigi rushed out of the restaurant not before saying goodbye to Y/N. "See you, sis!", Mario said.

"We'll see you tonight at home!", Luigi said. "Good luck!", Y/N waved them, as they run off.

Smiling, Y/N gets back to work, hoping her brothers will do well on their business. "You still helping your brothers on that dang plumbing business?", her boss asked, peering out from the kitchen window, a look of concern.

"Sir, your pizza is burning.", Y/N responded. Her boss' eyes widened, as he quickly scooped the pizza out and placed it on the plate.

Gaining his composure, he continued talking, while this time keeping am eye on the food. "You should really stop thinking about helping your family when you should be helping yourself. Like find a new boyfriend or something. Maybe get yourself some new house to live in.", her boss continued.

"I don't think I can. Other than being more stronger and more independent. Plus, I'm getting close on repaying my brothers' debt.", Y/N said. "Yeah, how close?", her boss asked, skeptical.

"Well... I... where are my breadsticks?", Y/N asked. Her boss then sighed.

"Well, all I'm saying is you gotta at least let the brothers deal with it and start thinking what you really want.", her boss said. He brings out a basket full of bread towards Y/N, while bringing more plates, as she grabs each of them with both hands and her head.

"Try not to stress yourself too much. It's not selfish to think about your goals.", her boss continued. This left her to think about it, as she approaches the customers in their seats.
