         𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗘𝗘 𝗧𝗘𝗘𝗡𝗦 sat in Mr. Dennison's car just outside the witch's house. Drusilla will admit this wasn't her most genius plan but it would buy them time to save Dani and get her back to the cemetery.

        "All we gotta do is grab Dani and Binx and make it back to the cemetery in time, the sun should be coming up soon," Drusilla explained. "Allison, I'll give you the signal and you can turn on the lights."

       "Once again you're a genius," Max complimented the girl making her feel better.

        "Yeah, yeah, kiss me later," She shrugged off getting out of the car not wanting to see the look on Allison and Max's face at her bold comment.

      Max shook his head smiling before getting out too and returning to the task at hand. The two teens rushed into the house just in time to see Dani fighting back as the sister tried to feed her the potion.

"Prepare to die!" Max yelled making the witches stop. "Again,"

     "You!" Winifred shouted back, "You have no powers here, you fool!"

       "Hollywood!" Max and Drusilla looked up to the distraction to see Jay yelling out to them. Ernie and Jay were trapped in cages and Drusilla could've laughed out loud seeing as they finally got what's coming to them.

       Max ignored Jay, "Maybe not! But there's a power greater than your magic, and that's knowledge!" He said to the witches. "And there's one thing that I know that you don't."

       Winifred, fed up with the distractions paused her movements. "And what is that dude?" She mocked him.

Max only smirked, "Daylight savings time."

         Drusilla let the witches mock him for a second and from behind the door, she gave Allison a thumbs up. Just like they had hoped the witches believed it as they screamed in pain and moved away from Dani.

       "Dru, Max, help me out of here!" Dani called out and the two teens were quick to run to Dani and untangle the ropes around her before running to get Binx who was hanging over a fire.

        "Hey!" Jay called to them again. "Let me out of here!" He begged. Max and Drusilla looked at each other before a smirk was back on Max's face and they ignored his cry for help.

       It didn't stop there because soon Ernie was begging for their help too. "Hey, Hollywood, help us out here?"

      Max looked to Ernie then at his stolen shoes on his feet before grabbing them. "Tubular," Max mocked before they went to make their getaway again.

      Passing by the cauldron of potion Drusilla quickly kicked it over knocking it to the ground so it was useless. Dani cheered and Max grabbed Drusilla and Dani's hands. "Come on let's go," He said as they finally made it out of the house.

       Dani was quick to stop at the steps yanking her brother back. "Max, I wanna see her turn to dust," She said.

       Allison whistled making Dani turn to look at her waving at them to hurry up and get into the parked car. Seeing this Dani's eyes widened. "Pump it!" She yelled as they ran to the car easily getting in.

       Drusilla sitting in the passenger had barely any time to put her seatbelt on as Max took off. The kids walking in a trance to the house getting in the way. She felt like she could finally breathe again when the roads finally cleared.

"Step on it Max," Dani encouraged him.

       "I think the rules of the road still apply to us Dani," Drusilla sighed but Max still listened to his sister putting more pressure on the gas.

       "Are they following us?" He asked and Allison and Drusilla turned to look out the back window.

Seeing nothing Drusilla turned back around. "No," She said.

       "Good," Max answered and the two smiled at each other. Their smiles didn't last long as Winifred on her broomstick pulled up beside them.

       Drusilla let out a yelp and Winifred laughed. "Pull over! Let me see your driver's permit!" She taunted before reaching into the open window and tugging at Max making the car swerve.

       The three girls grabbed onto Max trying to pull him out of her grasp and he helped by pushing her off. She was quick to fly back and grab him. "Resisting arrest?" She asked pulling at him again.

      Drusilla grabbed onto the steering wheel yanking the car to the side and slamming into the witch causing Winifred to fly back and fall off her broom letting the group getaway. The group yelled in celebration and Max high five the girl beside him.

      It wasn't long before they pulled up to the graveyard again quickly getting out of the car and making it to hallowed ground. As the girls ran past Max wasn't as lucky and Billy had finally found them.

         Max was knocked to the ground, the boy quickly pulled out a knife and held it out. "Run Dani! Get her out of here!" Following Max's orders, Drusilla took Dani's hand and lead her farther into the graveyard.

"Max!" Dani called out as the girls found a place to hide.

         "He'll be okay," Drusilla tried to tell the girl. She was right seeing as Max had caught up with them moments later, seeing Billy still behind him Drusilla quickly grabbed a branch off the ground holding it up. "Move Max!" She told him.

          The boy quickly held his arm out stopping the girl, "Wait wait! He's a good zombie." He told them and Drusilla looked at Billy curiously seeing as he made no move to attack them she dropped the stick still slightly glaring at him.

          "Come on," Max said grabbing Drusilla's arm taking her attention off Billy and back to hiding Dani. Drusilla still looking behind them every once in a while as Dani took a more friendly approach.

        "We have to hold them out until dawn," Binx said. The group nodded going to the gym bag they had planted there earlier, Max's idea, and carrying it to Billy's grave.

        Max unzipped the bag and handed the salt to Drusilla who handed it to Allison.

        "You'll be safe in here," Billy told the girl referring to his grave. The group knew that the lower Dani was to the ground the better their chances were.

         Max pulled out a baseball bat before looking at his sister. "You okay Dani?" The little girl nodded. Billy placed her in his grave and Allison made a circle of salt around her before looking at Drusilla and Max with a smile.

          "Here they come!" Binx warned. "Billy guard Dani! Max, Dru, Allison, spread out!" He instructed. Drusilla with no weapon still took off to stand with Allison as Mary and Sarah had approached them, seeing as Winifred wanted to take care of Max.

        Sarah flew close to Allison and she threw salt up sending her flying back before she tossed the container to Drusilla and she did the same to Mary, the other witch having the same reaction. The two girls fought them off for a bit before Drusilla tried to pour more salt in her hand and the container was empty.

         "Shit," She cursed and her eyes went wide as Mary tried to swoop down. Drusilla was quick to fall on her stomach to avoid her. "Allison!" Drusilla called out to her before turning to see her friend had done the same trying to avoid the witches. The girls quickly scrambled to their feet running back to Billy's grave.

         Drusilla got there the same time Max did and the two held onto each other checking the other for any damage, seeing none the two finally looked to the grave to now see it empty. The shrill scream of Dani rang through the graveyard and they were quick to follow it.

       They were met with the sight of Dani now on Winifred's broomstick and the witch dug into her pocket. "Alright, you little tollimog," Winifred said pulling out what was left of the potion Drusilla tried to ruin. Dani screamed and covered her mouth.

        "Hold on, Dani!" Binx called and as Dani struggled with Winifred he climbed up a tree branch before jumping on Winifred and knocking the potion of out her hand.

        Drusilla was the first to react as she ran to catch the vial in her hands. Max was quick to run up beside her as they faced Winifred

        Winifred threw the cat off of her before glaring at the teens on the ground. "Give me that vial!" She called out.

"Put her down or I'll smash it!" Drusilla threatened.

         Winifred tightened her grip on Dani, "Smash it and she dies!" Drusilla hesitated, looking to the vial and then to Winifred.

       Max reading her quickly grabbed the vial from her hand and before the girl could stop him he held the potion to his lips, drinking it. "No!" Drusilla called out but it was too late.

        Max, once he was done swallowing the contents in the vial looked back to Winifred. "Now you have no choice! You have to take me." He said stepping in front of the girl.

        Drusilla still stood behind Max could only watch as Winifred flew closer to the ground and stopped in front of the two. "What a fool to give up thy life for thy sister's." She said and angrily pushed Dani off of the broom.

         Drusilla was quick to grab Dani and pull her into her as Winifred grabbed Max by his shirt and pulled him into the air with her.

         Billy and Allison ran to their side and helped them up. They could only watch as Winifred tried to suck the life out of Max. Still strong enough he tried to fight her off the best he could, pushing her face away from him almost knocking her off the broom.

         Winifred began to call for her sisters to help and seeing Mary begin to approach Drusilla quickly reached out to grab the end of her vacuum cord keeping her away. The other three joined in their strength keeping her from getting closer.

         "Pull!" Drusilla yelled as they struggled. Mary called for Sarah and the blonde witch flew over grabbing onto her sister's hand and pulling, but she was no match for the four.

      Drusilla's squinted her eyes as the sun began to rise, the moment the group had been waiting for. She looked back over to the struggling witches. "Let go now!" She yelled and the group followed her lead and the witches went flying closer to the direct sunlight and past Winifred and Max.

      The gust of wind and distraction caused Winifred to fly back and she and Max fell to the graveyard ground. The group was back on their feet running to where they had landed.

       They paused to see Winifred turn into a statue, failing to make one last call to her book for help. She still held Max trapped with the potion in his system.

       The sun rising quickly, he ripped his shirt and fell to the ground in front of the statue scrambling out of the way.

        With one last goodbye, Mary and Sarah burst into dust. Winifred was the last to go. The explosion of green dust blinds them as she returned to nothing. A sudden silence filled the rather chaotic night as everyone tried to catch their breath.

        Drusilla let a slow smile spread across her face before happily turning to Allison and throwing her arms around her friend. Dani called out to her brother before running to join him where he lay on the ground. He looked around curiously the feeling of it being over unreal.

        Drusilla smiled watching the sweet moment before Max went to stand up with Dani. Allison pushed her friend forward as the boy approached and Drusilla turned to glare at her friend before turning back to Max with a soft smile.

       Max looked down at the girl smiling and Drusilla finally wrapped her arms around him pulling him into a tight hug, the emotional rollercoaster today making her laugh into his chest.

       The two pulled back and Drusilla tugged her bottom lip between her teeth nervously, "It's later," She boldly said and Max laughed before crashing his lips to her.

       The emotions they felt all throughout the night came through into that one kiss, as Drusilla wrapped her arms around Max's neck and threaded her fingers through his hair pulling him close, the weight on their shoulders being lifted.

       A gaging sound made them pull away to see Dani's disgusted face and they both laughed at the girl's dramatics. Max took Drusilla's hand as they made their way to the others and the group hugged.

       Billy now that the magic was wearing off had gotten incredibly sleepy and they followed him back to his grave. "Bye Billy! Have a nice sleep." Dani said to him as he got back into his grave. He smiled at them.

       "Hey, Billy," Max said making him pause. "Thanks." He said and the group waved as Billy yawned and fell back into his grave dramatically making them giggle.

      Dani turned away from the group to look around, "Where's Binx?" She asked and they all looked around for the cat before Dani spotted him lying dead on the ground. She ran to him with tear-filled eyes.

        "He's gone. He's gone, Dani." Allison said sadly. The three crouched down next to her watching her sadly. Drusilla realized that without the curse there was no reason for him to stick around, she was just hoping he would get a better ending than this.

        "But he can't die remember!" She cried before begging Binx to wake up. "Like last time!" She cried and the three teens looked at each other sadly before Drusilla reached out a hand to comfort the girl.

        "Dani," A voice whispered, making them look up. "Please don't be sad for me," It said, the voice familiar to Binx.

       The four turned to see Thackery Binx standing there in his human form smiling at them. "Binx?" Dani questioned. "Is that you?"

       Thackery looked down at himself, "Yeah," He smiled happily. The four stood up to approach the ghost. "The witches are dead, my soul's finally free."

       Drusilla smiled happily with tears in her eyes as Max wrapped his arm around her. They watched as Thackery held his hand out to Dani, the little girl placed her hand in his.

       "You freed me, Dani. Thank you," He told her before turning to Max, "Hey, Max. Thanks for lighting the candle," Max smiled at him.

       "Thackery," Came a little girl's voice, "Thackery Binx!" They turned to see a little girl poking her head out from behind the trees, she giggled as she saw her brother.

       "It's Emily," Thackery said excitedly. If Drusilla wasn't crying before she sure was now, the tender moment tugging at her heartstrings.

      Thackery leaned down to whisper in Dani's ear. "I shall always be with you." He said before kissing her cheek before going to meet Emily at the back gates of the graveyard.

      With the sun in the background and the glow around them, it was like the gates of heaven had opened up and were ready to welcome the boy with open arms as he went to join his family in the afterlife.

     With one last wave to the group, they watched as the gates opened and he took his sister's hand.

"Thackery Binx what took thee so long?" Emily asked her brother.

      "I'm sorry, Emily. I had to wait 300 years for a virgin to light a candle," He told her. Drusilla laughed at his explanation and Dani turned to look at her older brother.

           The three moved to join the girl as Max placed his arm around her pulling her close, an arm still securely around Drusilla. Drusilla reach out her hand to grab onto Allison and she let out a sigh the air in her lungs becoming lighter.

They had done it.
