Stuck

"We're going down!" Steve screamed.

"Yeah, no shit, Harrington!" Robin yelled at him. Dustin pressed a button and we stopped falling, i fell on the ground.

"Son of a bitch!" I said.

"Oh!" Steve winced in pain. Robin gasps for air. "My groin. It fell on my groin." A box landed on his lower part of his body. "Dustin! Get this off of me! I can't move." Dustin ran to help him and I grabbed the rack to get up for some support.

"Is everyone okay?" Robin said.

"Yeah, I'm great, now that I know that Russians can't design elevators! I think we've clearly established that those buttons don't work." Steve yelled.

"They probably left it for decoration!" I sarcastically laughed.

"They're buttons. They have to do something."

"Yeah, if we had a keycard."

"A what?"

"It's an electronic lock. Same as the loading dock door. If we don't have a keycard-" Robin went on.

"it won't operate, meaning-"

"We're stuck in here." I finished. I rubbed my face with my hands. I cant believe it.

"Just so you nerds are aware, I'm supposed to be spending the night at Tina's, and Tina always covers for me. But if I'm not home for Uncle Jack's party tomorrow and my mom finds out you three are responsible, she's gonna hunt you down, one by one, and slit your throat." Erica confessed. Im so done. I was going to crack!

"I don't care about Tina! Or Uncle Jack's party! Your mom's not gonna be able to find us if we're dead in a Russian elevator! Haha! My aunt thinks im at Steves, probably thinks im with him. Im going to die a virgin. I havent even ate cheesecake before and now I'm going go die here." I said to myself.

"You're a virgin?" Dustin pointed out. I looked at him slowly.

"Really? Thats all you got?" I moved my hands. Dustin looks away and looks up.

"Hey." He pointed at the ceiling. "What if we climbed out?" Both Dustin and Steve climbed up to the top. The three of us looked for a way out. We spent our whole night trying to find a way out but nothing. The kids went to sleep, so did Robin, Leaving me and Steve wake. We talked about any possible ways we can get out but nothing solid. Everyone woke up and we started looking new ways out again. Dustin went up to the roof and tried to call for help. Steve followed. I banged my head on the door, I looked back to hear something.

"Can you redirect your stream, please?" Robins voice echoes. The pee stream moved and it was disgusting. Then Erica started to bang the green liquid. Robin and I ran and grabbed from her. "Hey, hey! Be careful, careful, careful! We don't even know what that is."

"Exactly. It could be useful."

"Useful how?" I crossed my arms.

"We can survive down here a long time without food, but if the human body doesn't get water, it will die."

"I hate to break it to you, but this is not water." Robin told her.

"No, but it's a liquid, and if it comes down to me drinking that shit or dying of thirst, I drink." I started to hear a sound. I walked away and walked to the door. I placed my ear on the wall.

"We've got company." I told Robin. Robin went to tell the boys. We hid up the elevator and the doors opened. Two Russians came in and started put boxes in their car. Shortly after they left, we jumped down and Steve placed the green liquid container to keep the door open.

"Let's go." Steve said. We all slid under the door. One by one. Steve was the last one out. When Steve made it, the elevator door crushed the container and the green liquid melted through the floor. We all gasped. We literally spent a whole night with those things. It could've killed us.

"You still wanna drink that?" I turned to Erica. She rolled her eyes and looks up at me.

"Holy mother of God." Dustin said. We all turned to see a never ending hallway. My mouth dropped. You got to be kidding me.

"Well hope you guys are in good shape." Steve said as he walked first. "Looking at you, roast beef." He patted Dustins chest. "Let's go, come on."

"Why me?" Dustin asked. We followed Steve. "I mean, you have to admit, as a feat of engineering alone, this is impressive." He spoke about the walkway.

"What are you talking about? It's a total fire hazard.
There's no stairs, there's no exit, there's just an elevator that drops you halfway to hell." Steve told him as we walked. I was getting tired.

"They're Commies." Erica announced. "You don't pay people, they cut corners."

"To be fair to our Russian comrades, I don't think this tunnel was designed for walking." I said to her.

"Think about it, they developed the perfect system for transporting that cargo." Robin added.

"It all comes into the mall like any old delivery. And then they load it up onto those trucks and nobody's the wiser."

"You think they built this whole mall so they could transport that green poison? I very seriously doubt it's something as boring as poison."

"It's gotta be much more valuable, like promethium or something."

"What the hell is promethium?" Steve asked.

"It's what Victor Stone's dad used to make Cyborg's bionic and cybernetic components." I replied as I looked at him.

"You're all so nerdy, it makes me physically ill." Erica gagged.

"No, no, no." Steve pointed. "No, don't lump me in with them. I'm not a nerd, all right?"

"Why so sensitive, Harrington? Afraid of losing cool points to a ten-year-old child?" Robin sang.

"No, I'm just saying I don't know jack shit about Prometheus."

"Promethium." Dustin corrected him. "Prometheus is a Greek mythological figure, but whatever. All I'm saying is, it's probably being used to make something. Or power something."

"Like a nuclear weapon?"

"Totally. Walking towards a nuclear weapon. That's great."

"That'd be great." I rolled my eyes.

"But if they're building something, why here? I mean, Hawkins." Robin said. Steve, Dustin and I stopped walking and looked at each other. The mindflayer.

"You think the Russians know?" Dustin questioned.

"Possibility." I whispered.

"They could."

"So it's connected?" We just looked at each other. I really hope not. Will and El are going to be in deep shit. "Maybe."

"How?" I crossed my arms.

"I don't know, but it's-"

"Possible." We all said.

"I'm sorry, is there something you'd like to share with the class?" Robin said as she turned around. There was a static noise and the someone speaking russian.

"Walkie." We all ran to Erica, who had the walkie. Robin grabbed it and repeated the words back in english.

"A trip to China sounds nice. " If you tread lightly. " It's the code." She laughs. "Wherever that broadcast is coming from-"

"It's close." I smiled. Home sweet home.

"And if there's one thing we know about that signal It can reach the surface."

"Let's go." We ran to the end of the hall, which seemed endless. We made it.

"Okay, clear. Clear, come on, let's go." Steve said as he opened the door. "Wendy get back here!"

"Nobodys here! See!" We all froze as we saw tons of people. We ducked down and hid.

"I swear to god im going to keep you on a leash." Steve told me.

"Okay, that was close." Robin sighed.

"Too close."

"Relax."

"All right? Relax. Nobody saw." I said to them. We went to peek to see what we are dealing with. We ducked down again.

"Shit. Jesus!"

"Red Dawn."

"I saw it. First floor, northwest." Erica whispers to Steve.

"Saw what?"

"The comms room."

"You saw the comms room?" He looked back at her.

"Correct."

"Are you sure?" I asked her.

"Positive." She looked back at me and nodded. "The door was open for a second, and I saw a bunch of lights and machines and shit in there. That could be a hundred different things."

"I'll take those odds." Robin said.

"All right." Steve whispers. "We're gonna move fast, we're gonna stay low. Okay?" We all nodded. We all got up and crawled to the door. Steve opened the door and let us go in.

"Shh! Move it. Let's go. Sh, sh. Come on." We all turned to see a russian man. We all stood there looking at each other. Robin and the guy had a full blown conversation.

"I said that you were the russian Princess." I looked at her.

"Are you serious!" I yelled at her.

"Just say something." I gulped.

"Uh, bonjour?" I waved with a light laugh. He gave me a look. He pulled out his gun and pointed at me. "Shit!"

"No!" Steve yelled as he tackled the guy to the ground. Robin and I protected the kids as he was beating up the guy. Steve hit the man with an object. "Christ." He sighed. I looked at him. Wow, he saved our lives. Wait did he just win a fight? He pushes his hair back. That damn hair.

"Dude!" Dustin yelled. Steve looks up "You did it! You won a fight!" Steve laughs. He ran to me.

"You good?"

"For a russin Princess, yeah i am." I joked.

"What are you doing?" Erica asked Dustin as he grabbed something from his pocket.

"Getting us our ticket out of here." He showed her the key card.

"You want to walk all the way back?"

"Well, we can hang out for a little bit, relax, have a picnic maybe."

"Have a picnic? We came here for the radio." She pointed at the radio.

"This plan is way better. If I knew Steve could knock out a Russian, that would've been our plan in the first place." I looked at him. He smiled.

"You did it." I said to him.

"About time right?" I chuckled.

"Guys." Robin come down running and out of breathe. "There's something up there."

"Let's go." We ran up the stairs and saw that they were opening something. Opening what El closed.

"Holy shit."
