I packed my things and left my internship. It was a good year and im ready to be a fashion designer in two years. I learned so much and im glad I went. Im heading back home for the summer and well, stay. I made it home. Nobody was home yet. I unpacked my things and I chilled for a bit, after 3 hours of nothing. They came.

"Has Wendy called yet?" Aunt Joyce said to the boys as they walked in. I leaned against the doorframe and smile.

"why wont you ask her?" I said. They all smiled and came running to me. "Oh i missed you guys so much!" I looked at a Jonathan. "Hows the photos at the post?"

"Really good. I bought myself a new camera." He geeked.

"Thats so amazing!" I looked at Will. "Will! You're almost tall as me!" I hugged him.

"Hey Wendy. I missed you."

"Hold on, i didn't forget it." I ran to my room and get Wills surprise gift. I wrapped it up last night and put a bow on it. "Well, Will The Wise, i came baring gifts." I kneeled down. Will smiles. He grabbed the gift and opened it. He was surprised.

"No way!" He jumped with happiness. It was the new edition of infinity gauntlet by marvel. Will wanted so bad and well they were sold out her, but in Chicago? Man i waited hours outside to get two. Will also pulled out a new sketchbook. "Thank you Wendy!"

"No problem buddy." I smiled. "Aww missed you guys. Its been forever! Like really. There so much to talk about!" We stayed in the living room talking about what has happened in the past couple of months. The boys went their rooms.

"Have you called Steve at all?" Aunt joyce asked. I looked down at my glass.

"I called but only his parents would pick up." I gave her smile. "I mean I dont blame him."

"Remember my talk." I laughed.

"Its just hard, i freeze up when i hear him. I dont know what im going to do when we see each other again. Will it be different? Will it be the same? Does he hate me? Does he like me?" I sighed.

"You know, Will told me he works at the mall." She gave a nudge. "Maybe you should go with him tonight." I shook my head.

"I think im going to stay home. Play some guitar in the garage. I drove a lot. I need a break." She hummed. "Im not avoiding him."

"You cant hide forever." She gave me a kiss on head and left for work. I went to my room and grabbed my guitar and headed to the garage. I played some tunes. I played bad reputation by joan jett. The garage door opens.

"Can you drop us at the mall please." Will begged. Lucas and Max came.

"Sure."

"Wendy!" Max ran up and hugged me. "Ive missed you." I laughed.

"I miss you too Max." I looked at her.

"You got pictures?"

"Of course i do." I went to my guitar case and handed her my Polaroid photos. She was amazed.

"Im glad you're back Wendy." Lucas smiles. I gave him a sign to hug me. His smile widens. "We really missed you. You're the best dad."

"Steve isnt that bad." They all looked at each other.

"You're more chill. Hes more strict." I laughed to myself. I put away my things and got in car. The kids gave me the directions to the mall.

"What are you guys going to watch?"

"This scary movie, we heard its gonna give people nightmares." Lucas told me. I laughed. I pulled up to the starcourt mall.

"Need money?" I asked Will just as he got out of the car.

"Its okay, Steve is gonna get us in." I smiled at him. "He's sneaking us in."

"Be careful okay, call me when you want me to pick you up." They all said thank you and i drove back home and stayed there. I was listening to music, then the lights in the house turned off. I stood up and flipped the switch. Nothing. I checked if the house was the same, and it was. A few seconds later, the power went back on. Kinda weird. I stayed in my room until i got a call to pick up the kids and dropped them home. I went to bed.

Next Morning

I woke up and headed to the kitchen. Will, aunt Joyce and I began to eat and Jonathan started to run. I knew he was late.

"You know Nancy can use the front door, right." I said as I ate a piece of toast. Jonathan scrunched his nose.

"Hey, hey, hey!" Aunt Joyce got up and walked towrds Jonathan. "Wait up."

"Oh, no, I'll eat at work. I'm late." He told her.

"No." She licked her finger and wiped his cheek. Lipstick stain. Will and I made kissing sounds. "Your cheek." Jonathan backed up. "All right, all right." She said as she got the memo.

"I gotta run. See you later." Jonathan said as he left the house. We dug right back to breakfast.

"Ugh." Will groaned. "Gross."

"Well, I don't think you're gonna think it's gross when you fall in love." Aunt Joyce told him.

"I'm not gonna fall in love." He said as he poured syrup on his pancakes.

"Okay." She said. She looked over my shoulder and went to the fridge. "Hey. What happened here?" She asked us.

"I don't know."

"Maybe the power outage last night." I said as i shoved pancakes into my mouth. We finished up and aunt Joyce went to work. "Ready?"

"Ready Freddy." Will said as we got in my car. I drove him to Dustins house. He came back from camp all summer. I gotta say, i missed hanging with the kids. I pulled up to Dustins house and saw Mike and Eleven holding hands, Lucas and Max laughing.

"Hey Wendy!" They all waved at me.

"Hey guys!" I waved back. "Remember, Jonathan is picking you up." Will nodded. "Tell Dustin welcome back, will you?"

"Sure thing." He smiled.

"Have fun!" I waved as I pulled out of the drive way. I decided to go to aunt Joyces job just to hang. It was empty. "Hey."

"What brings you here?" She asks as she puts prices up.

"Im just bored at home. I need to get out." I said as I leaned back on the counter top, paid for a soda and candy.

"You can go to the mall." She singed. "The pool?"

"With no friends." She gave me the eye.

"What about that Robin girl?"

"She has a job now."

"You can make more friends."

"Nancy and Robin is enough for me." I looked around the place. "I guess i can go. But not now. I mean its very busy here. I think you need a helping hand." She laughs as it was a lie.

"You have to face it one day Wendy."

"I know! I just, uh, FINE! Ill go, one day." I gave up. The door opens and saw Hopper.

"Im having problems." Hopper said as he came in the store.

"Yeah, we can see." I said. He looked at me. "Hey Hop." I waved.

"Looks whos talking, youre the one with boy problems." My mouth dropped. "El." I figured.

"Hey! At least im not trying to break two kids love life." He looked at me. "El." He nodded. "Nice to see you too." I sipped my soda.

"Welcome back Kid." He hugged me. "We missed you."

"Its okay, you can say you missed me."

"Dont push it."

"Come on Hop, say it." He sighs.

"I missed you." He mumbled. I pushed my hair behind my ear.

"What was that?"

"I said I missed you." Hopper was like a dad to me. He cared about me and so did I.

"See, it wasnt that hard."

"This Harrington guy, was he good to you?"

"The best. Don't arrest him alright? Hes a great guy."

"You just seem hurt, I thought he did something. I gotta look out for you."

"Thanks but I gotta battle my demons some how."

"Thats the spirit." Aunt Joyce winks. I clapped my hands.

"Well, im off. See you at home." I kissed aunt Joyces head and waved at Hopper. I went to the lake and stayed there until night. The same spot me and Steve stopped talking. I sighed and looked at the water. Time to be a grown up and go to that mall.
