[11] : ARTEMIS
"Use your words as a weapon, and they won't bother you much or tease you." Astrid sighed, lightly punching Oliver on his shoulder. He faked a cry and she smiled.
"That's the worst advice I've ever heard Wood." Oliver placed a hand over his heart and looked at her as though she had ripped his heart out and shred it into a thousand tiny pieces. "Okay, I'm sorry. Maybe it will be useful sometime in the future." She smiled, placing her head on his shoulder.
Oliver tensed up, but Astrid didn't notice. His heart was beating fast and he was sure she could heard it, but she didn't. "Do you miss him?" Oliver suddenly asked her. Astrid was taken aback.
"Of course I miss him Oliver." She replied, urging herself not to cry. "But I don't want to talk about him. Please."
"Okay." Oliver replied. "I know this may sound weird but I can't stop thinking about what Draco wanted to say last year." It was Astrid's turn to tense up, and her heart began beating fast.
"It was nothing, I promise." They were then plunged into an awkward silence. Luckily for the both of them, Cedric saved them from dying from awkwardness.
"I managed to get the treats!" He beamed, showering them both in sweets. Astrid sat upright, almost regretting it when the warmth faded away. "Oh and she wants to talk to you Astrid."
Cedric pointed to a girl with short brown hair, her blue eyes were narrowed into deadly slits. Astrid gingerly stood up, exchanging a look with Oliver before she walked over to the girl. Her robes had yellow accents and Astrid guessed it may be Apollo's sister, as she looked like him and she had a yellow prefects badge.
"You stay away from Apollo!" She had snarled and Astrid was taken aback by her lack of manners for a Hufflepuff. "Whatever Apollo told you, shove it in your ass Black and leave him alone." She looked angry. "Or do you want to kill him? You are the daughter of that bloody murderer aren't you? Killing runs in your veins."
"Firstly, I helped Apollo and that's it. Secondly, you have no right to talk about my father like that. He may be a murderer but he's my father! I — he — you should leave me alone Brown." She turned her back on her, which was a mistake. Artemis pulled out her wand and shot a spell at her.
Astrid was flung forwards and she smashed into a nearby pillar. She heard something crack and she groaned when she stood up.
"You should leave us alone Black." Artemis snarled, marching away. Cedric and Oliver rushed to Astrid's side.
"Are you okay?" Oliver asked and Astrid shook her head. Tears threatened to fall but she blinked them back. "Let's get you to Madam Pomfrey."

Draco rushed in, pushed Cedric and Oliver aside and clutched Astrid's cold hand. Dumbledore smiled at them, whereas Snape looked as though he was going to kill Astrid for touching Draco. He looked like a teenage girl obsessed with the popular boy.
"Took you long enough." Astrid whined. Draco's cheeks turned a soft shade of red and Astrid chuckled, immediately regretting when pain shit through her chest. She winced.
"What happened to you?" Draco asked when he noticed her wincing in pain.
"I met Artemis Brown. She's not a very friendly person." She saw Snape scoff and Dumbledore raised a brow at him. He crossed his arms over his chest and whipped his hair back. "Blasted me right into a pillar, broke four of my ribs."
"Artemis Brown?" Draco asked confused and Astrid then remembered that she hadn't told her cousin the story of how she met Apollo Brown.
"Well, I first met her younger brother, Apollo Brown. They're Lavender Brown's cousins. Apollo is nice, Artemis is not." She gestured to her ribs. "Anyway, she told me to back off because she thought I'm going to murder Apollo like my dad murdered those twelve muggles." She could see Snape smirk in the corner of her eye and she ignored him. "I told her I wasn't going to because why would I even kill Apollo? But she didn't listen."
"Severus, let's leave the children." Dumbledore said to the man. Snape glared at Astrid before strutting out. Dumbledore smiled at them, following the man.
"Gee, who drove a stick up Snape's ass?" Astrid asked with a brow raised and they all shrugged.
"Have you told him how you feel?" Draco suddenly asked and they all looked at Astrid, only to find her her blushing like crazy. She hid behind her hands before she loudly groaned.
"No and can you all stop looking at me? It's normal for a teenage witch to have crushes and to fall in love. What I have for Gilderoy is completely different to what I have for him okay?!" She groaned again when she removed her hands to see them still gawking at her as though she was a piece of meat. "Stop looking at me like that!"
Draco glanced at Oliver, who was now seated on the bed on Astrid's left side. He also glanced at Cedric, who looked completely confused. Draco scrunched his face up when he looked back at Astrid. "I'm just extremely confused Trissy, what do you see in him? You don't know if he is a Pure-Blood or not, you don't know what his parents look like."
"Shut it Draco." She groaned and Oliver patted her head awkwardly. "He's just very kind and odd and he gets me. And he's not a prick like you."
"Who is this guy? Is it someone we know?" Oliver asked, feeling a little jealous. He didn't understand why.
"Someone you guys know extremely well, especially you Oliver." And just like Cedric, he was beyond the word confused. He knew Astrid had a crush on Percy Weasley at some point in her life, he knew she and Cedric accidentally kissed once, he knew she had taken a liking to the Weasley twins but he just couldn't figure out who this mystery person is.
Draco left, saying something about Transfiguration. Astrid knew she won't get an Owl in Transfiguration this year, the things they had to do this year were confusing. She waved goodbye to her cousin. Cedric left next, saying he needed to finish his Potions essay.
"Tell me more about this guy. What's he like? What's his house? What is the color of his eyes and hair?" Oliver pressed and he and Astrid now lay side by side, facing each other, on the bed. He saw Astrid's eyes light up when she began describing him.
"Firstly, he's not bad to look at. And his eyes are the softest shade of brown I've ever seen." She sighed. "He's sweet, caring, should've been a Hufflepuff I tell you but he's not. He's in Gryffindor. I mean sure, he's a prick sometimes but that's it. He's kind, and like I said, he gets me."
Oliver relaxed when he realized that it is not Cedric she liked but it still could be the other three. He still felt extremely jealous. "He sounds... nice."
Astrid giggled. "How more daft can you get Wood? How much air is in your head?" Oliver raised his brow at her in pure confusion and she smiled at him. "I need to sleep. See you tomorrow, ey?"
"Er — yeah." He stood up and lingered there for awhile before he nervously swallowed and bid her goodbye. Astrid went to sleep with a smile on her face.
