This was nice, having a break from all the chaos back in Hawkins. And on the bright side, we never left. I don't want to use my powers here in Derry as much around these new kids. I don't want to put these kids in danger as much as I have put my other friends.

I feel a splash of water whip onto my face. "Sorry El!" Mike- er- Richie yells. "You're so dead!" I yell imitating Steve. I push water onto his face and he falls backwards. Suddenly I see Bill go under Beverly and hoist her up onto her shoulders. "Yo El! Wanna fight?" She giggles. "El get onto my shoulders" Eddie offers as he pops out of the water. "Sure" I smile. He ducks underwater and then I feel his shoulders rise up underneath my legs. He is quite short, but I'm tall enough to reach Beverly.

Bill and Eddie start walking closer, I put my hands on Eddie's head to keep balance, his hair is quite soft too. Beverly and I clash and we grasp hands, pushing each other. I let her win and I tumble off Eddie who falls back as well. M-Richie swims over and starts laughing at us. "Yay!!" Bill yells as beverly waves her arms into the air for victory.

We all start swimming over to a shallower bit of the Quarry and Richie, Stan, Eddie and I start having a water fight. "AA I stood on something!" Richie screams. We all duck underwater and see the silhouette of a turtle. "It's a turtle!" I shout and get Beverly, Ben, and Bills attention. We all go underwater and look at this turtle, when we come up Richie starts another water fight.

Beverly lays a towel down for El and her and throws her a pair of shades. They both lay in the sun with their eyes closed for a bit, while the boys sit up on the rocks. El liked Beverly, she reminded her of Max, but softer and Tough.

Little did the girls know that all the boys were watching them, not a blink in sight or a stutter from Bill. Their mouths dropped open. Eleven starts to turn her head, when the boys perk up and start looking around like nothing happened. Beverly looks at El and starts laughing quietly, getting a giggle from El.

El turns over so her stomachs on the towel, and Beverly sits up a bit. "News flash Ben! Schools out for summah!!" Richie yells while looking through his bag imitating a british accent. "Oh that? That's not School stuff" He says trying to close his bag.

"Who sent you this??" Richie chuckles as he pulls out a postcard and flips it over to look at it. "No one!" Ben yells as he snatches the card and shoves it back into his bag.

"What's with the history project??" Richie asks. El turns to Beverly, "What is history?" She croaks quietly. Bev smiles, "Its when you learn about a towns past events or humans past events" She says warmly. "Looks like Eddie and Stan like looking at you" Bev chuckles. El arches an eyebrow and turns to the boys who look around and down at Ben's book. El starts laughing.

"When I first moved here, I didn't have any friends. So I started hanging out in the library." He says. "You went to the library? On Purpose?" Richie says looking disgusted. Bill starts to flip through the book when Beverly pops up. "We want to see" She says and sits next to Bill. El stands up and sits next to Eddie, who scooches over a bit for her.

"Y-yu-Your hair-" Bill stutters. "Your hair is beautiful beverly" Ben smiles. "Oh! Right, thanks" She blushes. "Here pass" Richie asks as Bill hands the book over. "Why is it all murders of missing kids?" He asks. El gets a shuddery feeling down her spine. She never liked stories of missing kids. Richie hands the book to Eddie and Stan and El lean over to look at it. "Well, Derrys not like any other town i've been in before." Ben sighed, "I did a study once, and it turns out people die or disappear six times the national average."

"You read that?" Beverly asks.

"And that's just grown ups, it's worse for kids. Way, way worse. I've got more stuff if you want to see it?" He offers. "No.." Eddie whispers getting a confused look from Eleven, he soon changes the nod to a 'Yes' which gets a smile from El.

The kids all jump off their bikes and Ben runs into his house. Eddie falls over onto Richie, El jumps over and helps him up. Richie nods and walks inside. "Um, t-thank you" He smiles. El smiles and they walk into Ben's house together.

"Old guys and bones! Yeah!" Eddie and Richie say at the same time, getting a confused look from Eleven. "Woah" Richie sighs as they look at all the articles Ben has put up on his walls. "Cool huh?" Ben smiles proudly. "No, no nothing cool, Wait this is cool, this right- oh wait no. Nevermind" Richie mumbles.

"What's that?" Stan asks as El walks over to look at the wall. She stands between Stanley and Eddie, who again scooches over a bit. "Oh that? That's the charter for Derry township." Ben explains. El looks at it closely, still trying to understand. "Nerd alert" Richie snorts as he readjusts his glasses. "No, actually it's pretty interesting. Derry started as a beaver trapping-''''Still is am I right boys??" Richie shouts raising his hand, then getting a head shake from Stan.

"91 people signed the charter that made Derry, but later that winter they all disappeared without a trace." Ben sighs. "The entire camp??" Eddie asks a bit shocked. "There were rumors about indians, but no sign of an attack. Everybody just thought it was a plague or something. But it's like, one day everyone just woke up and left. The only clue was a trail of bloody clothes leading to the well house." Ben explains.

"Jesus. He could beat derry and all of its mysteries" Richie says. The boys (and El) lean in and read more of the articles on the wall. "I don't know? Maybe he's just trying to make some friends" Richie mumbles when Eleven elbows him in the side. "Ouch! Jesus, sorry" He chokes.

"W-Where is the well house?" Billy asks, stuttering bit. "I don't know, somewhere in town I guess?" Ben guesses.

"Why?"

"N-n-nothing"
