"I'm gonna have to stop you right there.." He snaps his fingers and one of his scowling posey members hands him a volleyball. "We're definitely not interested in playing a game with a bunch of freaks.." he glares at Firo. "Much less so interested in sharing a beach with your kind."

He and his posey start to walk back to their bags and Firo snatches Kiki's water gun, aims, and throws the entire thing at the human's head

She lands the shot and the force of the squirt gun hitting him knocks him forward slightly. But the cheap water gun was hardly enough to injure the guy

The water gun must've really hurt his pride because he immediately turned around and chucked the vollyball at Firo. However, he misses and the volleyball comes raging toward Thresh instead

Thresh panics and the object is momentarily surrounded in a blue glow before it hits him and is immediately blasted back at the guy who threw it.

He and the rest of his posey duck under it as it zooms past them.

The head of the ground is furious at this point and storms over to us, aiming his rage at Thresh

He reels back a hand but Firo sucker punches him square in the nose. "Don't ever call my friends freaks!"

The student stumbles backward while holding his now-bleeding nose. "B**ch! You broke my nose!"

"Good!" Firo glares at them all.
His posey had been scared by the obvious differences between our groups and had decided it would be better to retreat, and whether their leader wanted to or not, they decided to pick him up and run.

"I really hope that's the last time we meet those guys.." Thresh whimpers a little

And while I was unsure on whether or not we would ever see that student again, I was definitely sure of one thing.
Firo's hatred for humans goes much much deeper than I originally thought

The next day was rather strange, simply because it was a lovely day, I went out to that cafe with Skyler and Kanna, who I hadn't seen in quite a long time strangely enough. And nothing happened. After I decided to go shopping or something like that, and nothing happened.. So I went back to the cafe and got a coffee of some kind and apologized for the fiftyth time about the glass window and door they had to replace after our encounter with Evi here.

And after that, I wend home, ate dinner, climbed into my bed, and fell asleep.

I slowly sit up, rubbing my head. "Oww.. Where.. Where am I?" I look around, confused.
I slowly stand and look around. I was standing in a field of gold, and of what looked like cattails.. Really tall cattails.. Ironically, my tail whipping back and fourth wildly in the wind. Tick.
Wait.. What was that? I look around the field, seeing nothing. I shrug it off and start walking across the field, feeling as if I was flying. Talk about Déjà vu
Tick.
There it is again!
Tick. Tink.
What on earth is that?!
Tick. Tick. Tink.
I yell in frustration. What is that sound?!?!!
Tink.
Wait a second... What is that...? I look out over the field of gold and spot something silver.
Tick.
I quickly start to make my way toward the speck, and make it there surprisingly fast
Tick. Tink.

I approach the speck further and I easily make out what it is one I'm a few feet away

It's Sonya, the one who's always with that red-haired psycho.
I walk up to her. "Huh.. That's weird.. I'd never expect to see you in a dream of mine." I shrug. "Then again, everyone's brain is capable of generating random strangers into dreams so I guess seeing an acquaintance is less weird--"

Tick. Tink. 

"Umm.. I'm not just a randomly generated personality-less  dream version of Sonya.. Technically, I'm actually her.." The oooooooooosmall girl looks up at me. And despite my obvious confusion and astonishment, she moves on with smile. "I just wanted to apologize cause I promised me and Evi would visit soon and we haven't gotten around to doing it yet." she smiles

The noises in bold had stopped. HEEEEEYYYYYY FOURTH WALL BREAK IN MY THOUGHTS

"Ummm....."

"But I've managed to convince her that we can go soon!" She smiles

There's a strange noise, like someone is struggling to lift a very heavy something

"Okay.. I'll be sure to tell the others." I smile slightly

"Great!!" Sonya smiles. I swear, this girl's cheerfulness could melt a block of ice in two seconds

"So how did you even manage to project yourself into my dre-"

A loud shattering noise immediately snaps me back to reality, and I very quickly sit up. I sat up so fast, in fact, that I ended up getting a head rush, and falling out of my bed. Even after a few minutes, I was still very confused and disoriented from being so suddenly awoken, but as my ears slowly adjust, I can clearly hear arguing from outside

"I can't believe you threw a pot!!" Alice yells

"Well she wasn't responding to the pebbles we were throwing- and plus that would be something Firo would've done!" Mason yells back

"Why would you choose to do something that Firo would've done?! And why out of all things a potted plant?!" I can hear Lilly's voice yell

"I don't know- I'm just panicked, okay?! I can't think straight- plus she's not here to do reckless things and it just feels off!" Mason does sound a bit on edge

"...Fair enough." Lilly states "I can see why you'd act recklessly right now."

"I don't see why everyone is so panicked anyway.. She probably just got arrested again or something..." you can practically hear Alice's eye roll . 

"She didn't get arrested." Lilly looks at Alice.

"She promised me she wouldn't do anything arrest-worthy anymore." Mason states

"She could've easily been lying." Alice points out

"She wouldn't lie to me." Mason glares a bit

"Plus we checked ever prison and sheriff office in the city, even on the human side of the spectrum. And she wasn't there so she definitely hasn't broken that promise..." Lilly points out

"Okay.... but maybe she just ditched you." Alice mumbles

"She wouldn't do that."  Mason glares at Alice

"He's right, she wouldn't. If anything, she forgot or got sidetracked with something else." Lilly states. 

As soon as my daze had faded and I had regained my grip on reality, I stick my head out of my open window

"Oh, hello Kat." Lilly looks up at me. Huh.... Strangely, it feels as if it's been months since I've seen her.. Even though I see her every day at school.. You remember her? Glasses? Ability to control plants? Really shy but sweet? Side character?
Yeah her. From the first few chapters

"What are you guys doing here...? it's almost one in the morning..." I drowsily groan

"Well... Long story short, Mason and Firo were supposed to be meet at the theater to watch a movie- he won't admit it was a date but it totally was-" Mason open's his mouth to add something but Alice moves on. "--but Firo never actually showed up, then she wouldn't respond to his texts or phone calls so he decided to call Kanna but Kanna said Firo wasn't in the apartment so Mason called Thresh and the two of them drove around town until around midnight looking for any signs of her, but they couldn't find anything  so Mason freaked out and called all of us.." Alice explains. "So we all split up to look for her.. However no one found anything or saw any signs of her.. Sooooooooooooo, then we decided to find you."

"So I missed half the adventure?" I blink

"Yep. For the sake of chapter length." She nods

"That sounds pretty lazy." Lilly comments

"Well yes, completely." Alice nods. "But that would turn this possibly-soon-to-be-trilogy-of-chapters to be a.. Whatever comes after a trilogy."

"Quadrilogy." Lilly whispers

"Yes that." Alice nods

"We don't have the time for this 4th wall break!!" Mason is clearly panicked. They all continue to speak or argue as I get dressed in not-pajamas and walk outside.

"He's right. If Firo has gone completely missing then we need to find her quickly." I quickly say

"Thank you!" Mason nods.

"Soooo... Where's Thresh?" I look around. "He is with you, right?"

"He's waiting for us to come back with you." Mason states

"Then lets go."

"Kiki is waiting in there too- she's surprisingly less all over the place energized than usual.." Lilly states

"Dogost and Nami would be here but Nami didn't want to wake up Dogost, nor did she want to leave him alone." Lilly states

They were indeed waiting for us, and while Thresh was driving I decided to ask

"So where have you guys looked so far?"

"Basically everywhere on this side of the city, and the prisons and such on the human side of the city." Thresh explains

"But there's no way she'd be on the human side." Alice states. "She hates humans."

"Yeah like that one guy at the beach who she told off." Kiki laughs

"What?" Lilly blinks

"You weren't there" Alice states

"Oh.. Well either way I already know about Firo's hatred for humans." Lilly shrugs

"So we agree that there is no way she's on that side?" Alice asks

"Well- no." Kiki looks at Alice. "She could easily be there."

"What? Why?" Mason sounds confused

"Because of that guy she told off on the beach." Kiki answers

"Yeah but she wouldn't go to the human side of the city just to do something bad to him." Thresh blinks

"Yes she would, she absolutely would." Mason looks back at us. "Can you try to find out which school he attends or where he lives?"

"They don't need to." Thresh states

"But if she really did go there just to throw a bucket of eggs at him or something, then we kinda need to know her location so we can stop her before she gets herself arrested."

"Or suspended." I add

"Or expelled." Alice nods

"Or worse." Kiki states

"What? What do you mean by worse?!" Mason looks back at her

"Well I mean, if she's found by a teacher or their headmaster then she'll just get a slap on the wrist and maybe a call to the police... But if she's found by a student.. you can bet they'd do something to her before turning her in." Kiki states

"What do you mean by that...?" Thresh asks wearily. He's also nervous about a certain someone's panic levels shooting through the roof of his car and far far into the sky

"Well I mean they all still live in a world without magic, creatures, monsters, or anything. I wouldn't be surprised if their methods at dealing with them are also very old fashioned.. they might even still believe in witch trials." Kiki shrugs. "I mean our headmistress went there not too long ago and those students were showing so much restraint but she still got tripped every three seconds, and her head stolen numerous times."

"Thresh go faster." Mason looks at him

"Aaaand there's the panic.." Thresh speeds up only a bit

"Come on let's go!" Mason's panic is obvious. 

Thresh nods "Alright alright, well I know what school he goes to because of that insignia from the volleyball he had, and that school also run with dormitories and shared rooms.. So he's definitely there now." 

"So then Firo's probably there"

"Let's hope she hasn't done anything yet."

Mason nods in agreement. 

Thresh parks and we all quickly get out

"Alright- now we have to disarm a forcefield or something- right?" I look at the others

"Nope, though Fir made it easier." He points to the lock that was now on the ground, completly torched and melted into a pool of liquid metal. It was still hot so it hadn't been long since she had melted the lock. Thresh walks directly though the open and now lock-less gate. "These people hate all types of magic- including things like forcefields that could protect them." 

"Oh.." I walk through the gate, following a quickly-advancing Mason. 

"And locked doors are easy enough to get through." Kiki smiles

"Here's an idea-- instead of us breaking in and sneaking around until we find her-- how about we knock on the door and just  ask for assistance like normal people." Thresh is nervous. "I feel like that would be a lot better."

"We could.. Only, thee doors are electrified." Mason points to the main entrance once we get to it. Warnings displaying: "HIGH VOLTAGE" are everywhere

"What is this? A prison?" Alice blinks

"Well I guess that means she's not in there. There's no way in sooooo-"

"She's climbing through a window." Kiki giggles

"What?" Thresh looks up and I point to a high up window, where Firo is climbing inside the building through an open window

Alice face-palms. "She is really determined to get revenge on this guy..."

"To be honest I don't even want to stop her." Kiki says

"Yeah.. But we have to." I look at Kiki. "It's the right thing to do morally."

"Plus none of us want her to get expelled or witch-hunted. Even if it would be her fault completely." Alice states

"Can we please go now?" Mason looks at us with a panicked expression

"Okay okay, let's go correct your girlfriend's stupidity." 

Mason opens his mouth to say something, but the chapter is over
