The Plaza Part Two
Hello! HEY I WARNED YOU IT WOULD BE A LONG TIME BEFORE I UPDATED
But I'm still really sorry about this being so late

Recap:
"See? I told you we would find more here!" Firo grins as we walk out of one of the many stores we had visited in the past hour within the plaza for creatures
"We only found a few gears." Kanna looks back at her, annoyed
"Still! We did it without being stared at! I would consider this a win!" Firo grins happily.
"I still don't understand what you have against humans." I glance back at her while Kanna checks a map to see if she can find another store that sells anything close to what we need
"Do any of us get what Skyler has against demons?" Firo looks at me with a raised eyebrow
"Actually I think I remember Lilly saying it was something about a deal she made with a de--" Firo quickly interrupts me
"No we don't and we may never know soooo let's just move on to a different subject! For example, the reason we can't find anything is because Kanna's bad at finding things!" Firo says quickly
"I'm using a map." Kanna looks back at her, confused. "How much more precise do you want me to be?"
"See? That's the problem, you're being too precise!" Firo states. "I know this place like the back of my hand and I know a thousand places that aren't on that map!" Firo suddenly runs forward, grabbing Kanna and lifting her well above her head as she continues to run and zooms past people walking around
Mason quickly runs after her, followed by a laughing Kiki
"You think someone who hates being stared at wouldn't call so much attention to herself.." Alice facepalms
Thresh seems slightly nervous as the people who were first looking at Firo running off with Kanna, turn to look at us. "Perhaps we should follow them..." He says, still nervous
"I guess so." Alice shrugs
I quickly nod and run after Kiki and Mason, Thresh and Alice following me. Thresh still nervous about the large crowd of people that were watching at us, but he ran forward anyway
"She better not be taking us anywhere stupid!" Alice looks slightly annoyed

Firo led us through the entire plaza and into a less-populated and a lot less marketed area completely off the large plaza's map, which was full of mainly small shops and stands that were scattered everywhere in no particular order other than 'this is the street where people walk, so nothing goes here'
The area wasn't very well kept and hardly anyone was there besides us and the people that owned the shops inside. It seemed to give off the same feeling as when you find an old forgotten book from your childhood in your attic where it was left to age and be covered in dust. Happy and content, but worn down and full of memories.
Basically the entire area gave off that vibe, most of the buildings were brick or wooden shacks and the rest looked abandoned.
"Where are we..?" Kiki looks around
"The more abandoned side of town." Firo smiles, then continues to walk down the almost completely empty street
We all exchange glances for a moment before quickly follow her
"Here's the plan- we all divide into small gorups and spread out, try to find the items we need, then meet back here once we've found the stuff, alright?" Firo looks back at us as she walks
"Okay.. but what exactly are we supposed to get...?" Thresh looks at her, a bit confused.
Firo grabs something out of Kanna's hand, waving it around. It looks like a very long paper. "Kanna wrote a list of things so it should't be that hard." She states, then starts to rip the list
"Hey!" Kanna protests. "What are you doing?!" She snatches the list from Firo.
"Helping?" Firo raises and eyebrow and takes the list again, despite Kanna's very audible protests.
"Do you really have to do that?!" Kanna glares at Firo. "It took me hours to decipher what all of those parts based on your petty descriptions and what little information the actual machine gives!! It took forever to write them all down!"
"Yes I have to do it, and I'm not trying to discard your work." Firo pauses, looking at the strips and nods to herself. She gives one of the paper section to Mason, another to Kanna, one to Thresh and the last to Kiki.
"Meet back here once you get all the items on your list." Firo grabs the back of Mason's shirt and drags him away.
"How are we even supposed to find what we're looking for...?" Alice asks, blinking in confusion.
"No idea but no point in wasting time!" Kiki grins happily and grabs Alice's arm, running down a different street.
Nami shrugs and looks at Dogost, who was smiling back at us and already walking down a random road. She then looks at Thresh, smiling. "Come on." She gestures for Thresh to follow her as she follows Dogost.
Thresh pauses for a moment, then follows her, looking around the seemingly abandoned area as he does so, a bit nervous about the eerie silence of the place
I look at Kanna and she shrugs, unfolding the small piece of paper the two of us were given.
Her expression of calm rapidly changes to annoyance.
"What is it..?" I look at her, confused,
"We have to get the dome." She answers me, rubbing her forehead
"The dome...?" I blink in confusion.
"The glass dome that was resting on top of the machine when Firo found it.." Kanna sighs. "I already have the exact measurements for it.... Meaning this is literally going to take less than five minutes to find..." Kanna rolls her eyes and sighs, walking down another random street with no knowledge to where she was going.
I quickly follow behind her. "So where are we going...?"
"No idea, but it can't be that hard to find a place that sells what we need." Kanna states
"I guess that's true." I shrug as we walk.
We only walked around for a few minutes, and, like Kanna predicted, we quickly found a place that sold what we needed. Only Kanna was wrong about one thing, this definitely wasn't going to be easy
The store we entered seemed nicer then all the buildings in the area, and it almost seemed too tall for it to stay sturdy, especially considering how old the stone that made up the building looked. What made the unsteady building so intimidating was the fact that it only sold glass items. These extremely fragile items were all placed on the high-up shelves of the completely unstable building, the shelves seemed to be somehow even less sturdy then the building itself.
What made the situation worse is that they had thousands of glass items for us to go through, and most of them looked like glass dome coverings. On top of that there was no way to access the high shelves except for a wooden ladder, which looked as if it would crumble to splinters if you touched it.
It seemed like if you made any sudden or jolting movements, the entire building would collapse in on itself and nothing would be left but glass dust and rubble
"Who on Earth would use a building like this to store glass items?" I look around
"No idea.... Someone ironic?" Kanna raises an eyebrow, then sighs. "This is going to be loads of fun...." She sigh as she looks around at the thousands of clear glass items

HAAAA JUST KIDDING
---Nami's POV---
"I think we're lost...." Thresh sighs as he looks around.
The three of us had wandered for what felt like an hour in the empty streets without running into any stores that might have anything remptly close to what we needed. What we needed to find was a new core for the crystal we received to rest in so it could power the machine properly. After fifteen minutes of wandering, we had found a map, but after twenty more minutes of walking aimlessly after that, we came to a conclusion that it was outdated and therefore useless
"I think so too.." I sigh
RANDOM THING REAL QUICK
(typing with a dog in your lap is extre mbly difficult. Especially when he lays on your t keyboardkjhyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyygvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvbg.
"Serena just take the dog off of your lap."
NO
(Okay aaaannd continuing)
Dogost, still in his human form, suddenly perks up and lifts his head, sniffing the air and quickly looks around the vacant area
"Do you smell something..?" I look down at him, confused.
He quickly nods, smiling, then suddenly starts running down a different side road.
"Dogost?! Hey wait a second!" I quickly run after him
"Where is he going?!" Thresh sounds confused as he follows me
"I have absolutely no idea..!" I continue to run after Dogost
After a minute or two of running we reach a crossroad and Dogost turns right, then takes another right and runs into an open street that was actually full of people, random stands selling trinkets and food lined the street and people aimlessly wandered around the area. The mostly-wooden stands were connected to the stands on their side of the street, even though the stands themselves had no correlation to the stands next to them what so ever, but everyone in the area seemed to get along well with one another. There were buildings behind the stands that also lined the streets, but they were all run down and empty, worn down and mostly covered in vines. We didn't attract any attention running into the crowded area, but some people were a little panicked and murmuring to each other about a young boy that supposedly ran through them
"Oh geez.. where did he go..." Thresh looks around the densely populated area, slightly nervous because of the amount of people.
I look over at Thresh, but I'm shocked to see that he isn't there. "Thresh?" I look around again, confused. "Where did you go?"
"Whoops." He slowly reappears, embarrassed, laughing nervously. "Sorry about that.."
"It's fine." I laugh
I pause for a few seconds and look around the crowd again. "Dogost?!" I call, walking through the mass of people
Thresh slowly and nervously follows me
"I'm over here!" Dogost's voice comes from our right.
"There he is." Thresh points over to a random stand that looks like it was selling fruits of some sort, the girl behind the stand had short black hair and her eyes were multicolored. She was wearing a straw sun hat to block the sun from her face and a purple dress of some kind. Dogost is happily eating an apple while he stands in front of the stand. The fruit stand was small and made out of wood, and like everything else, it was connected with the rest of the stands on that side of the street
We both walk over to the stand and the girl happily waves to us, her multicolored eyes shifting to mostly purple
"Please don't ever run off like that again..." I sigh in relief
Dogost giggles. "Sorry."
"Where did you get the apple from?" Thresh looks at Dogost, confused
"Her." Dogost smiles as he points to the girl behind the stand. "She also said she can give us directions!"
"That would definitely be helpful." I look back up at the girl, who doesn't look any older then eleven.
The girl happily nods. "Dogost told me what you needed, and if you walk down this street, take a right, go down that road until you reach the broken sign and turn right and a store will be to your left, you can find it there." She smiles
"Thank you." I smile. ".... How do you know his name?"
She nods, smiling. "No problem, and he told me his name when I gave him an apple."
I nod in understanding and look at Thresh. "Should we go?"
He nods. "Let's get what we need."
---Firo's POV---
After separating from the others, I dragged Mason by his shirt for a few seconds before he turned around and walked by my side. I continue to walk through the empty streets until we reach a small old-looking store made completely from wood. The two of us walk inside, Mason is holding the paper with everything we need. We are in charge of getting the basic electronic parts of the machine that we still needed. After about ten few minutes we had already found most of the items on the list, with no help from the one worker in the shabby building, who was ignoring us one hundred percent of the time. It didn't really matter though, the store was small and full of options that was surprisingly well-organized despite how much stuff was inside. In the massive assortment of items, something in particular caught my attention, a small patch with the number 12 printed on it in a small glass case (you will figure out what this is later but for now just read)
I glance over at Mason who is still grabbing random items, then at the clerk behind the wooden desk that the device was placed on, who looked like he was sleeping, leaning back in the chair behind the desk with his arms behind his head. The hefty man behind the desk definitely wasn't human, most of his skin was made out of a rough grey rock-like material, even though he had normal facial features. He was dressed in earthy colors. I cautiously wave a hand infront of his face to make sure he's asleep. No response.
Knowing this, I make my move and slowly look back at the glass case, reaching my hand out to grab it
The clerk behind the desk suddenly slaps my hand away, his plain yellow eyes are now open, no pupils. "Don't touch that." He grumbles, his voice is raspy and deep
"So you do speak?" I look at him, annoyed. "I was hoping you were just a statue."
He huffs, annoyed, "Riiiiightt..."
I pause. "Soooo... Why can't I touch it?" I raise an eyebrow
"It's not for sale." He grumbles
"Why not?" I ask
"Someone already bought it." He looks annoyed
"Do you have any more....?" I ask, curious
"No." He glares at me
"Then give me that one." I state
"No." His eyebrow twitches
"Why not? I'll pay more then the other guy." I glare at him
"Listen sweetheart, it's not for sale." He glares at me. "That means you can't buy it, capiche?!"
"One- don't call me that, and two, how much would I have to pay you so you would give it to me instead of this other person?"
"It's. Not. For. Sale." He looks angry
"I'm beginning to think that you just don't like me." I glare at him
"Then you're getting the right idea sweetheart." He states, smirking
"Don't call me that! Wait... Is that why you won't sell it to me?!" I glare at him
"Correct again." He yawns, still smirking
I can feel my eye twitch a little and I storm away from the desk, crossing my arms and walking back to Mason, who quickly looks away, pretending that he wasn't watching the whole time. "Stuck-up jerk..." I angrily mumble
"Wait- what? What did I do?" Mason looks at me, frowning a little
"Not you, the guy running this place.." I angrily blow hair out of my face.
"Yeah, I don't like him either trust me.." Mason looks at the clerk and glares at him.
He laughs at this. "What? So the hothead is gonna sic her boyfriend on me?" He continues to laugh. Mason looks angry and a little embarrassed when he hears this
I growl, extremely annoyed."He is NOT my boyfriend!!"
On the other hand, Mason looks nervous and embarrassed, a dark red blush covering his fave. "Y-yeah, I'm not her boyfriend..!" He agrees, but this just makes the clerk laugh more
"You're both pathetic!" He laughs
Mason furiously glares at him
"That's it.... New plan..." I growl slightly
"Which is...?" Mason sounds a little nervous when I switch tones.
"Did you get everything on the list?" I glance towards him
"Yes... What's the plan...?" He still looks a little nervous.
I quickly grab his arm and run towards the desk, slamming money on the desk and grabbing the glass case as I run out of the store, dragging Mason with me. "Steal the thing he won't let me buy and run!!" I finally answer, hearing the man inside the store quickly stand up, his chair falling to the floor
"Get back here! Thief!!" He yells from behind us, obviously furious
(Awww my doggo is barking in his sleeeeeep, same doggo that was laying on my keyboard earlier. I don't know why I'm narrating what's happening in real life)
---Kiki's POV---
As me and Alice both walk out of the store where we had completed our part of gathering materials, I happily hum a short tune.
"That was easy." I grin happily
"It was actually pleasent." Alice smiles and nods as she looks at me
I happily nod in agreement, walking with a small skip in my step, carrying two bags full of the needed gears, screws, and bolts we had not yet purchased. "I wonder if the others had as much fun on their trips."
"I wonder if we'll be the first ones back.." She starts to walk back in the direction of where we're supposed to meet, smiling slightly
I turn to follow her, but as I do this I hear footsteps rapidly approaching us. "Umm... Do you hear that....?"
Before she can even reply, Firo quickly and abruptly sprints past us, carrying three plastic bags and a glass container, Mason isn't far behind her, carrying a lot of wires within his hands.
"Ummmm...." I slowly glance behind us, seeing what looks like some sort of man made out of boulders that is furiosuly charging towards us, his eyes glowing red.
"Nope! Nope! Nope! Nope! Nope! Nope!Nope! Nope! Nope!" Alice grabs my arm and quickly sprints after Firo and Mason
I happily laugh as we run
"How can you be laughing right now?!" Alice briefly glances back at me
"Cause this is exciting!!!" I happily grin at her, still laughing
She doesn't even question me and just nods her head. "Hold on a second-- What did you even do to make that guy mad?!" Alice looks back towards Mason and Firo
"She stole something!" Mason points at Firo
"He wouldn't sell it to me!!" Firo groans. "Plus he was being a jerk, he deserves it!"
"I have to agree with her there..." Mason sounds annoyed
We approach some sort of underpopulated area, but the second we turn the corner and a large crowd suddenly block our path. The large mass of people were all gathered on one large street covered with small stands that didn't seem to have any connection with each other, but were all connected with in the same area.
"Pardon me! Scuse me! Coming through! Sorry!" Firo continues to run despite the crowd, she had cleared a small path so we all ran through it. Surprisingly, she doesn't even run into anyone. I take this moment to glance behind us where the furious rock-man (couldn't think of anything better.) was slowly making his way towards us
As we're running past the stands, we see Nami, Thresh, and Dogost who are all standing at one of the stands talking to the girl behind the stand, who was handing Dogost a bag of what looked like apples. (Just to clarify- they went back to the stand after they bought what they needed. I got lazy and didn't write the part where they were buying things whooooops)
As we run past them, Firo stops. "Stop talking to the fruit girl and lets go!!" She only takes a brief moment to yell this before we continue to run, yelling over the noise of the crowd and our stalker's angry yelling
Nami and Thresh both look a bit panicked because of the furious yelling and they quickly decide to follow us.
"Bye!! Thanks for the apples!" Dogost cheers, waving to the girl behind the fruit stand that happily waves as he quickly sprints to catch up to us
"What was that about?!" Mason looks back at Dogost.
"Dogost made a friend I guess?!" Firo shrugs
"More importantly- Why are we running?" Thresh quiets his voice as we exit the populated area and no longer have to yell over the crowd
"Rock guy was being a jerk and...!" Firo pauses and sighs "Nevermind I'll explain later!"
"More importantly- Does anyone know where Kanna and Kat are?" Mason asks, looking back at us. He looks a little nervous, which I'm guessing means that the man chasing us had made his way through the crowd and was now charging towards us.
My suspicions were confirmed when I heard someone from behind us yell: "Stop! Thief!"
(I HAVE OFFICIALLY REACHED THAT POINT WHEN I'M WRITING A CHAPTER WHERE EVERYONE ELSE IN MY HOUSE IS ASLEEP AND I'M STILL AWAKE LIVING OFF OF CAFFEINE )
"And no- I don't know where Kanna and Kat are!" I answer Masons question
"I could guess where they are." Firo nods, turning to the left where we all follow her, the sound of running footsteps behind us growing closer
Firo runs up to an old looking building and slams the door open without a second thought. She's right, Kanna and Kat are inside, Kanna holding a medium sized bag in her hand. But as Firo slams the door open several of the glass items within the store are knocked off of their shelves and start to fall
Thresh panics but manages to catch them all, each of them surrounded in a blueish green hue
"Nice save." Nami sighs in relief.
Thresh slowly lifts the glass items and places them back on the shelves while Firo tells Kanna and Kat to come with us, which they agree to, running out of the old stone building and noticing our pursuer, who was only a few feet away by now.
"I suggest we run!" Firo quickly turns and runs away from the building, where we all quickly follow her.
(JUST LET ME HAVE FUN WITH A CHASE SCENE. I KNOW PEOPLE HAVE POWERS THAT COULD LET THEM GET OUT OF THIS. LET ME HAVE FUUNNNNNNNNN. i know this sounds aggressive but thats only causee im typing in caps. well i was. now i'm not for some reason. I'm very tired it's almost 2 am)
We made it back to the more modern plaza and stopped running. At that point we realized the man who was chasing us had suddenly disappeared the second we reached the border between the modern and the long forgotten, without any of us noticing where he had gone
