((Well, there is a new character introduced in this chapter who is based off of my little sister. @weberella123 ))

------------Kat's POV----------

At 4:00 Skyler flew to my house and picked me up, literally...

I looked over to Lilly. "So? There's a mall in town?!" I yell over the wind.

"Yeah! It's a creature mall. Usually malls are "humans only" or sometimes you'll see someplace where it's "vampires only." But this one allows everyone!" She yells happily. I take a second to think about it.

"Even half-demons?!" I yelled.

"Yep!" She smiled. I closed my eyes for a minute or two just feeling the wind in my face. Until-

"FIREBALL INCOMING!" Lilly yelled pointing ahead. Skyler quickly, but barely dodges it.

"What was that for?!" Skyler shrieks.

"It's my way of saying hello!" A female voice said from above us, I looked up to see Firo, floating there with fire blazing from her feet.

"Ohh hey Firo! We were just going to go get you!" Skylar says.

"Nice save." I heard Lilly whisper. I look a bit confused.

"Why didn't we invite Firo again?" I ask.

"She can get in really bad fights in places like this.. Last time a group of humans was picking on Skyler and she almost killed one of them.." She sighs. I nod in understanding, not asking anymore questions.

The rest of the flight was just me and Lilly listening to Skyler and Firo argue. Who knew that two people could be so different, and yet still friends.

When we stepped into the mall, I looked around, seeing a group of people wearing red and black.

"Those people are from another school. Its an only-demon school." Skyler explained. "Their stuck up jerks."

"Hey! One of my friends goes to that school!" Firo yelled, sounding offended.

"Right, her." Skyler mumbled.

Lilly leaned over to me. "Skyler doesn't like demons." She whispered. My eyes widened.

"Why?" I ask her, whispering as well.

"She made a deal with one a while back and got cheated. She's hated demons ever since." Lilly explains. I nod in understanding. They all start to walk away and I go to follow them, but then see someone in the crowd of creatures. A girl wearing purple, suddenly she's knocked down by someone. I quickly rush to help her, I see that she's feeling around the ground. She was obviosly looking for something so I bent over and looked around, seeing a pair of purple glasses, I hold them out to her. "Are these yours?" I ask, she reaches her hand out blindly and takes the glasses, putting them on. Now that I'm closer to her I can see her a lot clearer, she has ears! Like me! But... There not cat ears, there dog ears...

"Hey! Your a dog hybrid aren't you?!" I say. She looks at me with an angry and offended look.

"I'm a wolf!" She yells angrily, picking up her book and walking away quickly. Oops...

I sit there on the floor and suddenly see a hand stretched out to me, I take it and the person helps me stand up. I look at her and see that she's wearing one of the only-demon school uniforms, except this demon kind of looks nice in some way. "What were you doing on the ground?" She asks, her bright red eyes filled with curiosity.

"Ohh.. Well I was helping this girl out but she kinda just left." I explain, and she smiles.

"Well don't just sit on the ground- you'll get trampled!" She laughs.

I look at the ground, somewhat embarrassed, then look back up at her. "So umm.. What's your name?" I ask.

"Did I not tell you? Ohh.. Well my names Nami!" She cheers.

"Nami huh? Well it's nice to meet you! I'm Kat!" I smile back at her.

"Nice to meet you Kat! And don't be fooled by the uniform, I'm trying to transfer to a different school." Nami says.

"What school?" I ask. "Not to be nosy but I wanna see if your going to my school!" I say exitedly.

"I think I am, well, if they allow me to transfer that is." She says, smiling.

"Wow! For a demon, your pretty nice!" I say.

"Thanks!" She smiles, then looks to the left. "Well, looks like those people want your attention." She said, pointing to the left. I look and see Lilly, Firo, and Skyler standing there. I look over to them, then look to the right.

"And it looks like they're trying to get your attention." I say, looking at a group of demons who were all glaring at me.
Nami looks at them and glares back, and they all back off, then she smiles at me again.

"Well, it was nice to meet you Nami, I hope to see you soon." I say. She smiles.

"Me too." She says, then runs off to the group of other demons. I turn around to come face-to-face with an angy Skyler.

"Umm h-hi?" I say.

"Never talk to a demon! Never trust a demon! And most especially, don't let a demon like her be your friend!" She yells.

I look at her, confused. "But what's wrong with her?" I ask.

"She's a demon!" Skyler yells angrily.

"So?"

Skyler glares at me, then growls, opening her wings and flying off. My eyes widen.

"Looks like its gotten worse since the deal." Firo says with slight concern.

"What exactly, was the deal?" I ask, putting emphisis on 'was'

They all shake their heads sadly. I'm taking that as a no...
