The ghosts were no longer on our trail after successfully running, and losing them. We stopped to catch our breath and stayed low until it's safe to stroll further into the mine.

"I think we lost them..." I panted and looked at Grim. "Grim are you alright?"

"Alright? Alright!? You left me! Of course I'm not alright!!" He snapped.

"Okay, okay! Gosh.. I didn't mean to."

Ace looked away from the path we ran from and sighed, running his hand through his hair. "This place is haunted with ghosts, too!"

"We don't have time to deal with them one by one. Let's go!" Deuce shouted for us to carry on as Ace gave him an angry look.

"Don't think you can just order me around. If you hadn't done something so idiotic we wouldn't be in this mess."

"You wanna talk about who started it?" Deuce questioned him. "It's cause you wouldn't clean!"

"It started when that furball burned the Queen of Hearts statue!" Ace snapped back. Grim frown once he heard him.

"Ffgna!? That's what you get for making a fool outta me!"

"All of you! Do you understand our situation right now?" Deuce looks at us. "We're all expelled if we don't get back with a magic crystal by tomorrow morning!"

"So stop patronizing me." Ace said with an angry look. "It's really ticking me off."

I rolled my eyes and stepped between the boys pushing them apart with my hands. "Boys, come on. Stop fussing like girls."

"Oh yeah? Says the one who left us behind." Ace said.

"Yeah! You left me behind with him!" Grim shouted, as he pointed at Ace. Deuce shook his head at them. "That's enough!"

"Guys!" They all stopped to look at me. "I think I just heard a voice..."

"Hahaha, nice try." Ace lets out a sarcastic laugh. "You can't trick us twice, like earlier. Seeing spooky words on the wall-"

"....on't....ive...wo..."

We all froze in place after hearing a monstrous voice, it sounded like it was in agony. It came from the darker path of the mine. Sending chills down our spines as we continue to look into the darkness blindly.

"W-what's....that voice?" Ace trembled through his words.

"S-see! I told you..." I gulped, and we heard the monstrous voice again.

"St...one...ssss....mine...."

"I think it's... Getting closer..." Deuce said, trying to stay calm. I looked at him. "Don't say that..." I mumbled.

Then we heard the sounds of stomping as it got closer to us, it was the monster approaching from the darkness. It was huge and faceless. Then it roared at us. "Stone....IS MIIIIIIIIIINNEEE!!!!"

"IT'S HEEERE!!!" We all screamed in unison and we ran far away from it.

"What the heck is that thing!? Deuce shouted, as Grim quivered in fear with a bit of tears forming in his eyes.

"Fffgnnaaaaaa!! Crowley didn't say anything about that!! Let's get outta here!"

"It's so nasty!" Ace shouted."But didn't it mention a "stone"!?"

"Eeh!?" We all stopped to realize it now as the faceless monster slowly approached us.

"St...one, won't....give...!!" We gasped in fear, but except for Deuce who smiled in relief knowing that the crystals were still intact.

"So there really are magic crystals left!"

"N-n-n-n-nope! Nope! I'm a genius but I can't beat that thing!" Grim exclaimed. I looked back at Deuce as he stood his ground with determination in his eyes.

"But we'll be expelled without it...I'm going!" He said.

"You've gotta be kidding!?" Ace looked at him in shock, I ran to Deuce and held him by his arm.

"Are you crazy? You can get killed! Besides, it's too dangerous!"

Deuce immediately turned his head to me and pulled away. "No! I cannot, under any circumstances, be expelled!" He ran towards the faceless monster without thinking.

When Deuce charged up to it, the faceless monster roared once more and used its large hands to strike Deuce. Sending him flying back. "LEAVE! LEAVE!! LEEEEAAAVE!!!!"

"Guuuuh!.." He landed on his side.

"Deuce!" I screamed, and Ace just shook his head in frustration.

"Stand back if you have no control, Mr. Serious! I'll stop it! Haaa!"

"No! Ace, don't!" I watched him as he charged up to the faceless monster, and cast a wind spell to it but no effect happened. The monster then stares at Ace before striking him.

"Wuuuuuuooooooohhh!!!" It roared, becoming more angry.

"Guuhaaah!!" Ace landed on his back and groaned in pain. As the monster turns its attention onto me and Grim.

"Ffgnaaa! Stay away!!" Grim screamed and fired his flames at the monster, but it repeated the same result with no effect stopping it.

"Grrrr..." The faceless monster stood in front of us growling.

"I-It's not working at all!" Grim exclaimed, confused why his blue fire wouldn't barge it. Suddenly a light appears glinting behind the monster.

"Did something just sparkle?" I said, noticing it. So did the boys after they regained their stance.

"Behind that thing!" Ace shouted out. "At the end of the tunnel, something..."

"That light, is it a magic crystal...!?" Deuce notices it from afar but it was guarded by the monster that's blocked our path. Preventing us from going further.

"GGGOOOOOOHHHHHH!!!! WON'T GIIIIVE!!!"

"L-l-l-l-let's get out of here! We're done for at this rate!" Grim screamed, I nodded and scooped him in my arms.

"Yeah you're right. We need to get outta here you two!" I shouted at the two boys. Then we all fled to the entrance where we first came in and headed straight to the dark forest. Leaving behind an angry monster on our trail. "Gggoooooohhhh!!!"

We ran blindly into the dark, jumping and dodging obstacles through our path. Deuce and Ace were close behind me while I had Grim in my arms, running back to the house where we first started our search. We stayed far away from the Dwarf's Mine for now, and once we stopped, I turned to face the boys.

"Is this far enough?" Grim said, while holding onto me. I nodded as I put him down.

"Yeah, as long we're far from that thing. We're good."

"Oooww..." I heard Ace mutter, as he started rubbing his back where it hurts after taking a nasty fall. "What in the world was that? No one said anything about that!"

"It didn't seem like any old ghost." We heard Deuce say.

"Let's give up and go home. I'd rather get expelled than fighting that thing."

Deuce looks at Ace in disbelief. "Wha!? Don't screw with me! I'd rather die than face expulsion! There's a magic crystal right in front of us and you wanna go home!"

"Guys stop." I said, trying to stop them but they completely ignored me. As Ace and Deuce stared daggers at each other.

"Ha. You talk big for someone worse at magic than me. Go alone if you want, I'm done." After Ace said that, Deuce lost his cool and started raging at him. It took me and Grim by surprise.

"Ooh, that? Then stay right there cowering like a spineless coward!"

"Huuuuh?? Coward? Who exactly are you talking about?" Ace frowned.

"U-uuuhh....Deuce. Did you switch up your character?" Grim said, still surprised.

"Huh!" Deuce stopped to realize he did and regained his posture. "A-ahem! My bad. I lost my composure a bit."

"Hmmm what to do...Can magic help?" I asked them, Deuce shook his head.

"Like the headmaster said earlier, magic isn't all powerful. If you can't imagine it then it won't materialize. Large scale or complicated magic requires a lot of training to use."

"But that's why we have schools for magic. You have to practice a lot to use magic just as it comes to mind. Bluntly, you'll screw up if you lose your cool." Ace explained.

"Hmmm..." I stood there, trying to measure up everything they said. "So, you're telling me anyone has been using it willy-nilly? That's unfortunate..."

"Stuff you're good at can go off instinct. Ace sighed.

"At any rate, I'm going in there." Deuce said with determination. "I'll figure out how to beat that thing and come back with a magic crystal." He was about to go back until Ace provoked him.

"However. Judging by the chandelier incident, you're a complete idiot. You couldn't land a single hit earlier but now you'll "figure it out"? It's going to end the same."

"Come again!? You think of..." Deuce snapped, as they pressed their foreheads together, stabbing daggers into each other's eyes.

"Here they go again." Grim crosses his arms and sighs.

"Those idiots...They're worse than girls..." I mumbled, and stomped towards them as Grim watched expectantly.

"IF YOU TWO IDIOTS DON'T KNOCK IT OFF, I'LL BE THE ONE ENDING IT BY BUSTING YOUR FUCKING HEADS WITH MY BARE HANDS! WE'RE DEALING WITH A SERIOUS CRISIS HERE, AND YOU TWO ARE BRO-MANCING IT OUT!?"

The two stopped arguing and were shocked by my bitter tone and foul language. Grim too, was more surprised than they are by my sudden attitude.

"Waah. Freckles...Why are you shouting all of sudden?" Grimm looks at me nervously.

"ANYWAY. Since I've got your attention, neither of you morons could do anything back there. Pfft! Even me! Now, let's try to be cooperative and work together."

"Ff...fgnaaa..."

"Guuhh...B-but...What exactly should we do?" Deuce asked me, while Ace stayed silent.

"Simple Deuce, by putting our heads together. To come up with a strategy...We have to get the crystal without getting killed. Got it?"

"Strategy?" Ace scoffed. "You mean get along and work together?"

"Yeah, if you wanna live and see another day." I said to him.

"Ha! That's cold." He whines. "You have no problem saying lame things with a serious face, huh?"

"Agreed. No way I'm working with this loser." Deuce said, standing away from Ace.

I shook my head in frustration and frowned at them. "Everything I just said went out the other ear, didn't it? Fucking idiots...I'm stuck with idiots!"

"But...I feel it's way lamer to get expelled on the first day of school." Grim mumbled sadly, as the two boys heard him.

"Huh, that's..." Ace mumbled in defeat, and Deuce turned his head aside knowing Grim and I were right.

"Yeah, what Grim said. It's not cool at all to get expelled from school. Especially on the first day, and I can relate to that deeply."

"Haaaah. Fine! We just have to get it done, right!" Ace said with a frown but turns into a smile. "So, what's your plan Freckles?"

"Here's the plan! One of you boys needs to distract the monster by leading it away from the crystal. Which one of us needs to retrieve it without getting caught." I explained the plan to them while walking back the path to the Dwarf's Mine and the boys followed.

"You...really think it'll go as planned? I'm sca...no, just nervous." Grim said, I looked at him and smiled.

"No worries! I'm totally sure everything will be fine...maybe."

Ace laughed at me."Haha, you're too stiff Freckles. Just go with the flow. Let's get this over with!"

"Right!" I nodded and we all took our positions as Grim went to stand at the entrance to get the faceless monster's attention.

"Hey, beasty! O-o-o-over here!" He shouted, the monster noticed Grim and came charging out of the mine.

"Grrrr....LeaAAAAAAVVEE!!!"

"Gah!" Grim screamed. "It's coming!"

"That's my que. Wish me luck!" I said to the boys beside me and went in action, as Deuce had a worried look on his face.

"Please be careful." He said, I looked back at him and smiled.

"Why because I'm a girl? Haha! Don't underestimate me." I said, standing not too far from the Dwarf's Mine and getting the monster's attention. "Over here, big fella! Come this way~"

The faceless monster seemed to notice and it growled before striking a blow at me. "Grr!?...There...thief...too...Won't give...Mine...Mine!!"

"Woah!..." I dodged its attack and rolled to my side before getting up. Grim screamed when he saw its attack almost got me.

"Pyah! That punch looks like a knockout if it lands!"

"Don't worry! Let's get it as far from the tunnel as possible!" I shouted. The faceless monster continued to growl at us as it came closer. Leaving the tunnel unguarded. "Go away! Go away!!"

"It's pretty far from the tunnel now!" Grim shouted, and I signaled for the boys to take action.

"Now, do it!"

"Ok, I got this!" Ace shouted, casting his spell and Grim too."Let's go, Extra Large Tempest!"

"And the Great Grim's Fire Special! Ffgnaaaaa!" He fired his blue flames, along with Ace's spell combined. Taking an effect on the monster as it loses its balance, trapping in a fire tornado.

"Guaaaaah!?"

"Awesome guys!" I smiled at them and Ace smirked at me.

"How's this! I can even fan Grim's shoddy flame into an inferno!"

"It's not shoddy!" Grim heard him. "Ugh, ever word out of your mouth pisses me off!"

"Boys not the time! Let's do this!" I looked over to Deuce, seeing him standing there getting ready. Trying not to panic as he aims his wand towards the monster.

"Calm down...Take aim...The biggest, heaviest... Thing I know...Come forth, CAULDRON!" He summoned.

The cauldron magically appeared above the monster's head and fell roughly on top of it. Knocking it down to the ground, preventing it from moving. "Guaaa!?..."

"Got it! Nice work everyone!" Grim cheered. "Hey, look! The monster looks flat as a pancake just like Ace earlier!"

"You don't need to bring that up again! Jeez, today just isn't my day." Ace frowned, shaking his head.

"Seriously boys? We don't have time for this shit!"

"She's right. Let's go get the magic crystal while that thing can't move." Deuce said, and we all ran for the tunnel and went inside, leaving the faceless monster to scream in rage."WAAAAAIIITTT!!!!"

I can hear it raging from outside the tunnel as Deuce spotted the magic crystal in it's hiding place. "There! A magic crystal!"

"Hands Oooooofffff!!!" The monster screamed, as the magic keeping it in place was weakening and the cauldron holding it down isn't helping either.

"Crap! That thing is almost free!" Ace looked at it in shock.

"Oi, Deuce! Throw some more stuff on it!" Grim shouted at him.

"Again Deuce! Something heavy, like a cauldron!" I shouted too.

"Eeeh, something heavy!?" Deuce shouted, summoning another cauldron after another. "C-come forth! Cauldron! And, uuummm, hmmmm, cauldron!?"

"One more, cauldron!" He summons another to strike the monster down.

"Nnnguaaa!!!" The faceless monster screams in agony, but still no effect.

"Do you have nothing but cauldrons in your repertoire!?" Ace shouted at Deuce, and he snapped back. "Shut up! I'm at my wits end here!"

Grim then uses his fire on the monster enough for us to escape from the tunnel with the magic crystal in our grasp. "We got the magic crystal! Let's skedaddle!"

"Roger!" We all fled from the tunnel and headed to the dark forest in victory.

"That is....MIIIIIINNNEE!!!!" The monster started chasing us.

After running again through the dark path from the Dwarf's Mine, we stopped once we reached the house. Ace looks over his shoulder in shock.

"You're kidding!? It knocked off all that stuff and came after us!"

"What!?.." I turn to look as well to see the monster charging in rage and destroying trees through it's path from afar.

"Uuuh....uuughhh...! Give... It ba...ck!!"

"Shoot, it's gonna catch up to us!" Deuce frowned.

"But, it's weaker! Now we might have a chance to stop it!" I told them, Ace lets out a frustrated sigh.

"Aaaaah, fine! Let's finish it! Don't let me down, Mr Serious!"

"You, too!" Deuce shouted back and Grim too. "I'll show off my true power!"

"I'll protect the crystal, and you guys kick its ass!" I said, holding the crystal close to me and ran. Grim then releases a flood of blue flames at the monster, and Ace casted the same spell he used earlier. Combining their attacks again. "Extra Large Tempest!"

"Guuaahh!!!!" The faceless monster ignores its pain as it charges straight through their magic in great speed just to get to me.

"Huh!? It didn't work!!? It's like it knows our every move!!"

"Not so fast!" Deuce shouted, and summoned a cauldron to stop it but failed.

"What!?" They all shouted in unison after the monster dodged the incoming cauldron and charges towards them. Striking the three of them with one hit. "GUUAAAAHH!!! They all went flying and collided the ground.

"Grgghh...RUN!!!" Deuce shouted at me but I refused to leave them behind.

"Get out of here!.." Ace struggled to get up.

"NO! I'm not leaving you idiots!..." The monster slowly turns its attention to me after losing interest in the boys. It got more angry when it saw the crystal in my hand.

"That's....mine!!!!" The monster charged, I held the crystal close to me and dodged it's attack. Rolling to my side, I looked up.

"Shit!..." It came again and attacked with another blow, I tried dodging its second one but it was too fast. It's large hand hit me, I yelped and collided with the ground still holding the crystal. "Ahhh!..."

"BLAIR!!!!!" They all screamed in fear as I saw me slowly getting up from the attack. The monster growled and charged again.

"GUUUUUAHHH!!!!!!!!"

After being hit, my mind became foggy. Sounds begin to faint and everything around me is moving slowly. Like in the movies in slow motion when something bad happens.

I saw the monster coming, and held my hand in front of my face to shield myself from the incoming attack.

'I guess this is the end.. This is how my life ends, die as a virgin, die with stupidity.'

My heart was pounding harder and harder as it got closer. Then suddenly my hand that I held up started to glow as it released a massive amount of light. Consuming the monster's body in front of me and it disappeared, what's left of it remains a small dark rock.

"Ahhhh!!!! What the fuck!?..." I screamed, instantly putting my hand down after the glow on it disappeared. The three stared at me in shock.

"YOU HAVE MAGIC!!!?" They shouted in unison.
