No one's POV

As 021 entered her house, she found her parents waiting for her at the door.

"Let me guess, my teacher called and asked you to talk to me." She sighed.

"Honey we've talked about this before. The outside world isn't safe." Her father said.

"But..."

"No buts young lady. This is what you do every time. When are you going to grow up and forget all these fantasies. You know what I can't listen to this anymore. Go to your pod." Her mom yelled.

021 grumbled and left to her pod. On getting there, her robot which was modelled and programmed to imitate a pet dog from earth jumped on her.

"Hello Joey, I missed you. How have been?" She giggled.

The dog barked wagging it's robotic tail.

021 remembered how she got the name joey and the idea to create him.

*flashback begins*

She was using the e-library in the school when she came across a clip from earth.

"Joey stop slobbering all over me." The male laughed.

"Although you are a grown dog, you're still naughty." The male tried to stand but the big dog pushed him down again.

"Alright, that's enough. I'm a man now, it wouldn't look good if people saw me on the floor covered in dirt. Okay." The man pushed the dog off of him and walked into a house and the clip ended. But not before she saw the hand of what seemed to be a Loid.

*flashback ends*

She always wondered how it was possible and how the clip got there. She found a way to remove the clip permanently. She never knew why she did that but she had a feeling  she would find out very soon.

A call came in and she was about to pick up when her mother came in.

021 turned away from her mother and her mother sighed.

"You don't know this but I'm doing this for your own good. Not everything is as it seems. You're special and you being in harms way would be risking everything Loids have fought for. You are young, immature and do not understand anything right now." She tried to explain.

"Really? So are you the one who understands. I know our species are being hunted but keeping everyone cooped up in here isn't that also taking a risk. If the Flans were to find us, there would be no escape for anyone and because our species can only be found here, we could go extinct. So tell me what's there to understand? We've been told everything." She yelled.

"No. You don't know everything. The truth has been hidden and it would remain like that." Her mother yelled close to tears.

"What? What do mean hidden? The history of the Loids have been passed for generations. Nothing has ever been altered." 021 was shocked by what she was hearing from her mother.

"The truth has remained hidden for years and it has kept our planet in peace. And I hope it stays that way. It would best if you stopped and it would also be best if you never knew the truth. But I know sooner  or later, it will be out in the open. Maybe then you can judge if I'm doing the right thing or the wrong  thing." Her mother turned and left the pod.
