23: Infinitely Beautiful
Ahem, this chapter has smuff, but it doesn't start till after the scene change so... you can skip after you reach the divider if you're uncomfortable with reading it :)
Ruben's work of art had been completed, giving life to the slabs of cement and sand. The pictures seemed to pop out of the wall, bright colours defining overly exaggerated caricatures and equally astounding scribbles.
It was the first thing that caught the eyes of Colin and Peter as they entered the skate park. From what Colin could tell, Ruben had carefully picked out the locations where he would make the masterpiece. The ocean blue paint splattered in the bowls shone under lights which flickered every couple of minutes. Over the calm colour, writings and even more drawings stood out in the most complimentary way. It was pleasing to look at-- although it stuck out like a sore thumb in the fall atmosphere-- however, everyone knew its glory would be short-lived. Ruben vandalized the wall with his graffiti; his graffiti would be vandalized with more graffiti. It was the norm.
Colin dropped his skateboard, kicking it to Peter who was putting on a hoodie. It was Colin's-- the same one he had given to Peter the night he had come for his skateboard. Even though the Asian had bought himself enough warm clothing to possibly give him a heat stroke, he still asked for this blue one-- despite him practically drowning in it.
None of Colin's friends had said anything about it when they had arrived. They simply acknowledged each other's presence, spoke for a while, argued over the ownership of a lighter when Josh pulled out some blunts, and dispersed to different parts of the park.
"The school year starts in a week and here you are, trying your best to break a limb right before," Colin said with a shake of his head.
"I'm not going to break anything," Peter retorted. The blue of his hoodie blended into the graffiti art as he supported himself by holding onto the wall, right before he mounted the board on shaky legs.
Colin figured he'd enjoy his roommate's epic fail, so he took a front row seat, plopping down on a bench where he could get a good view of what was about to happen. Better yet, he could embed it in his memory forever-- his phone's memory.
From the camera screen of his phone, Colin watched Peter attempt to ride his skateboard. His balance was bad. His posture was bad. But his determination was stupidly on point. The brunet had to admire his persistence.
"What are you doing?" Peter asked after a harsh intake of breath, placing a shaky leg on the board. "You're not recording, are you?"
"No, I'm just texting," Colin lied with ease. Peter's eyes darted to the phone's camera, staring directly at Colin who lifted his eyes.
"That's a weird way to hold a phone while texting," Peter breathed, brushing his hair back. "But I guess the person you're texting is making you really happy, from the way you're smiling."
"Oh, I'm smiling, am I?" Colin asked, an amused expression etched on his features. "Does that bother you, Pikachu?"
Peter gave him a look. "Pfft. Not in the least."
"That's good news then."
Colin let his shoulders fall, feigning disinterest. He got a good shot of Peter stumbling off the board, almost crushing his nose against the wall. It was the first photo he snapped-- and unfortunately, the last. The flash had gone off. Damn it.
"Hey!" Peter dropped the board and started towards the brunet who began to tuck his phone in his pocket while murmuring "Oh shit."
Colin scrambled off the bench, dashing away from the sound of Peter's shoes thumping against the concrete ground. A chase began.
"You said you weren't recording!"
"I wasn't," Colin insisted, smiling. "It was a picture." He took a turn, approaching the grassy strip of land where the park ended. It was all euphoria and nostalgia, memories of that first night filling him to the brim.
Peter's voice snapped him back to reality when he let out, "I don't care, delete it."
"But it's cute."
"Lemme see then."
Colin shook his head, turning to face Peter as soon as the pursuing footsteps stopped. Still, he backed up as the dark-haired boy steadily took a step towards him. "You'll try to delete it if I show you."
"No I won't," Peter protested, hands flailing towards the device clutched in Colin's hand.
"I haven't even shown you yet and you're trying to grab my phone." Eyes regarding Peter, he slowly added, "Keep your hands behind your back and I'll let you look."
"But--" Peter started, although he stopped short when he realised more banter would lead to a never-ending exchange. "Fine." He rolled his eyes, hands clasped behind his back.
"Don't move them," Colin warned in a low voice. He unlocked his phone and tapped on the photo, tilting his phone towards his roommate.
"I can't see it."
"Okay, wait till I--"
The sentence was left uncompleted when Peter lurched at Colin, struggling to pry the phone out of his hands. The action was fast and unforeseen, causing both of them to fall on top of the overgrown blades of grass.
Their struggle turned playful, but the lightness of the mood dampened when Peter's hoodie started vibrating. He plucked his phone out of the front pocket and stared at the screen, heaving out a sigh of relief right after. It had been like for a while now; Peter would freeze anytime his phone rang, only breathing once he confirmed the call wasn't from his father.
It was beginning to look like the delayed phone call was a much worse situation than if Peter's dad had called immediately. The mounting suspense was beginning to leave not only Peter, but Colin, on tenterhooks. What they needed was a distraction.
Colin offered one when Peter dropped his phone, pinning his hands to the ground above his head. "When I let go of you, keep them there, alright?"
"Why should I?"
"Why? Because I'll stop if you do." He winked before lowering his head, pressing it against Peter's, as his grip on the Asian slowly loosened. Peter stayed still, indicating that he wasn't against the idea.
Their lips brushed against each other, starting a kiss that turned long and hard and sloppy. They were so enraptured with playing tongue wrestling that neither of them heard Josh approach, with Colin's skateboard tucked under his armpit. It wasn't till his shadow cast over their writhing forms that they noticed he was there.
"Ugh, no one wants to see that." Josh shielded his eyes, turning away. "Can't you two do that at home or something?"
Peter slipped from under Colin's body, brushing grass stains of his clothes with eyes trained to the ground. His roommate couldn't be bothered and took his time to respond to Josh with, "You're just jealous because Kiara is not around. You two do so much worse." Colin reached for Peter's outstretched hand and clasped it in his. Instead of him standing as was intended, he pulled the skinny boy down with him in the grass. "And you are sitting here with me."
"No. I'm gonna go skateboard." Peter took the board from Josh and proceeded to stand again.
"Hate to break it to you, baby, but being in a skate park doesn't automatically make you a good skater. I mean, you couldn't even do it on the sidewalk, much less here." Colin lay on his hands which were tucked at the back of his head. "We can look at the stars..."

It was one of the best things about fall and no one could tell Colin otherwise. Slipping under a large comforter amidst the lowering temperatures was great. However, turning the fan on to add a little razzle dazzle was even better. Especially if you got to cuddle with someone who was practically a human heating pad.
He wrapped his arms around Peter whose head lay on his chest, enjoying the warmth his body provided. They laid like that after finding something to snack on after they had gotten to the apartment, having had enough of staring at the twinkling stars sprinkled in the dark blanket of sky.
Kissing Colin, Peter mumbled, "How are so hard?" after a moment of silently feeling something poke him from beneath.
He received a shrug for an answer before Colin added, "Happens when I'm turned on."
"Can I try something?" Peter asked, sitting up.
"Uh, sure. As long as you don't try to castrate me, I'm down."
Colin watched his roommate lift the comforter off and stare a weirdly long time at his crotch, before making a move to undo the drawstring on Colin's sweatpants. He felt a hand wrap around him before he figured out what Peter wanted to experiment-- giving him a hand job. No, wait... he was involving his mouth too.
Lowering his head, Peter placed his lips around Colin, tentatively sucking. Colin's eyes flew open and he sucked harder, cheeks hollowed with the effort.
Peter wasn't sure how right what he was doing was, but the reaction from Colin assured him that he was on the right path. It felt awkward having a dick in your mouth, especially if you were straight. Kinda.
"God, that feels so good," Colin moaned, gripping the fitted sheet tightly with one hand while the other guided Peter's head lower. The mere sight of those plump lips he admired, wrapped around him, was heaven-- he could only take so much. It was quite the struggle holding back, trying to keep himself pinned to the bed, trying to let Peter work at his own pace. Especially when Peter held his gaze with those dark eyes. Those pools of blackness that made the night sky look boring, holding much more secrets than was shown. Infinitely beautiful, infinitely mysterious.
"You can take it. Sheath your teeth and relax." Coaxing the smaller guy on, he pushed further into the warm, wet mouth that engulfed most of his member.
"A little bit more, just a little bit," the brunet coaxed, flexing his hips upwards. "You're doing so fucking good, baby."
Baby.
It seemed the word was the boost Peter needed as his head dropped even lower, till his nose brushed the hairs on Colin's body, saliva slithering from the corner of his mouth.
"Fuck, that feels amazing," the brunet moaned, holding down the Asian's head as soon as it had started to rise. "Stay like that for a while. Just like that. Holy fucking--"
Peter gagged as Colin hit the back of his throat over and over. His tear ducts overflowed and his face grew hotter by the second but he kept his head down, only rising when Colin pulled him off, right before he orgasmed. Colin's back rose off the bed as he squirmed, eyes shut to the world, euphoria filling him as his body unravelled-- melting into a pool like the one that stained his stomach.
"Good boy," Colin whispered with a smile, bringing Peter's flushed face to his. Tilting his head, he connected their lips and kissed Peter slowly, savoring the moment before the dark-haired boy pulled away abrubtly.
With heavy breathing, Peter stared at Colin, looking at him with uncertainty. The situation had Colin befuddled and he stared back, wondering whether he had somehow stepped out of line.
"You kissed me. After I sucked you off... why would you do that?" The level of surprise that radiated off Peter was one that could not be faked; the flaring nostrils, the rapidly blinking eyes.
"Why wouldn't I?"
"I'm not sure," he trailed off. "I never liked the idea of letting someone kiss me after they gave me head. But you..."
"Yes. Didn't you like that?"
"I liked it," Peter answered quietly. "Maybe more than I should."
This time, it was Peter who hurriedly pulled an uncertain Colin to him, bringing him into a more passionate kiss that had them rolling on the bed again, grinding their bodies together. Colin could feel himself growing hard all over again, and a laugh bubbled up his throat as he flipped them over.
He reached down, gripping both their lengths and gyrating his hips. The brown-haired boy kissed his roommate, swallowing the small moans the latter made as he stroked them both to another level up the pleasure scale. He went down on Peter and sucked till the boy was shaking under him, begging him to keep going as he neared his high. Colin's fingers ran over every inch of Peter's skin, caressing and lovingly circling as his tongue licked the underside of Peter's dick.
He found Peter's sweet spot; his nipples, and he rubbed them, alternating one hand between the small buds, while the other massaged the smaller boy's dick his till he came in Colin's hand.
Colin cleaned both of them up with a dampened washcloth and slipped into the bed with Peter, both of them too worn out to put on clothes. Not that they'd wear them if the situation was different, anyway. Skin against skin felt better than cotton.
"You didn't tell Dakota about us," Peter whispered after a while of laying in silence.
"No," Colin responded. He ran his hands through Peter's black hair, watching the silky strands slip through his fingers.
"Why not? You can tell her when we fight, you can tell her when I'm fucking broke, but you can't mention that we're-- what are we even?"
"I dunno, boyfriends? You're a boyfriend, who happens to have a boyfriend." Colin kissed his forehead.
"That sounds a little gay."
The older guy lifted an eyebrow, amused with both Peter's words and facial expression. It was honestly entertaining to see and hear Peter still deny that he was probably queer too. But it would both of them a whole lot of good if Peter came to terms with his sexuality himself, Colin wouldn't pressure him.
"Then we're not gonna use labels, if you don't like them." Colin shrugged, head falling against the pillow. "To be honest, the only time I regarded someone as my boyfriend was back in high school. The rest were just fuck buddies, one night stands... that sorta stuff."
"Why is that? What happened?"
"The story will bore you to death." A smile. "C'mere. I like how warm you are."
