the little aesthetics a the top of each chapter are hoseok and Minami's feelings! They are in a way talking to each other lol

Prelude; spring day - This chapter technically wasn't supposed to exist lololol but I decided to write a prelude to maybe have it make sense how Minami and hobi met XD

chapter one - chapter three - these chapters all were written by sixth grade me. And they were so bad that I had to split-screen my documents and rewrite them word for word. If this story hits a certain milestone I may post those god-awful chapters XD Btw this story almost had the main character be y/n and was written in 2nd position...

Chapter four; moonchild - Ah yes! Hobi being a therapist for Minami for the first time! Not much to say here except this part was inspired by "Call Me Hope" and I hope it helped someone out there realize that crying can also be an act of power.

Chapter five; Moon pt.1 - n/a

Chapter six; Moon pt.2 (Seokjin little prince arc) - I read "the little prince" when it came time to write this lol this was inspired by Seokjin's bootaeful performances of his solo song in MOT:7, "Moon." This song made me cry and I love it so so so much (anything seokjin does make me cry but eh.) And when he kissed and hugged the earth (armys) I just *sob*

Also how hobi says "Being alive for 2.4 decades." Hobi's age in this universe is the same in our universe, but since he's dead he can't age so hobi in this story is 24 :] Why 24? Because that's how old he was when I first became an army IOJEJIO every time a member's birthday passes im like woOOoOoOOoOOO they're one year older now! And it's only two months later that it dawns on me Namjoon's 26 and Jin's almost thirty like WHAT DO YOU MEAN??? JIN'S STILL 26 GOD DANG IT. I know their age it's just the full effect doesn't hit me until weeks later-

Chapter seven; daydream - ngl a little filler chapter to bridge the gaps- I wouldn't call it filler filler tho because without it the story would make a bit less sense

Chapter eight & nine; filter (Park Jimin tailor and perfumist arc) - WOOOOOO first arc to range over more than one chapter!! I told you guys how I was greatly inspired by Samsung's la parfumerie ad, right? Also, call me Shakespeare because perfumist isn't a word. *smug* It took me a long time to find a picture of a dress made of rose petals tho ;;

Chapter ten; hope world - ~why ~ was ~ Namjoon ~ angry ~ at ~ Jimin ~ ? ~

Chapter eleven; so far away - Hobi can't change clothing as a ghost so it's based on what he wore the year he died. So everyday his outfit just changes to what he wore on that year; he has no control over what he wears lol

Chapter twelve, thirteen; Inner child (Kim taehyung magician arc) - Again, this is inspired by taehyung's performance with the child during the mot:7 concert. I cried during this performance since there was a segment where armys sang along tae and the expression he wore on his face was pure love and adoration and I just cried- Also yes, the woman Tae meets at the end was Hoseok's mother. In this universe, Tae became a traveling carnival master because he knows hobi got abandoned at one when he was a child. So he owns one now to make sure nothing like that ever happens again :,0

Chapter fourteen; blueside - n/a

Chapter fifteen; ghost in a flower - first chapter to not have a bts song in the title!! Ghost in a flower is super good tho please go check it out!

Chapter sixteen; magic shop - yesssss the song that made me become an army!! Also the turning point in hobi and Minami's relationship from just acquaintances to potential lovers?

Chapter seventeen; crystal snow - n/a

Chapter eighteen; eight - lol filler

Chapter nineteen; dream - Minami's birthday is April 21st, 2001 :D

Chapter twenty, twenty-one, twenty-two, twenty-three, twenty-four, twenty-five, twenty-six, twenty-seven - Jeon Jungkook the jester arc - woooooo.......so...This arc was inspired by three stories! "Heartless" by Marissa Meyers (thank you @cherryficss for recommending this to me), "Fahrenheit 451" by Ray Bradbury, and "stardust" by Neil Gaiman. The dystopian world and the usage of dichotomy and dualism when I could is a big part of the arc, I would like to think. How everything in the first chapters had everything described as dark and a desert reflected Jungkook's personality and lifestyle. Then, later, more light things are seen. "Heartless" contributed by planting the idea of a handsome jack-of-all-trades jester in my mind. And what better jack-of-all-trades than Jeon Jungkook? Opening a pineapple with his bare hands? Kicking off just the waterbottle cap of a waterbottle?

And, of course, as for our beloved heroine Elysian, she was inspired by both Clarisse Mclellan and Yvaine from F451 and Stardust. You see, I like to be crafty with names. And so, since Elysian was based off of these two characters, I mashed their names together into an anagram maker and out came Elysian Caviers! My dumb bootae forgot the s at one point when writing the story but shhhh. But honestly it feels like the universe rewrote itself to be in my favor because such a pretty name like Elysian Caviers could NOT have came out like that otherwise XD It often feels like that when I do writing stuff (and chords for music).

Also, Jungkook's arc was supposed to have a happy ending (Jungkook and Elysian both flee and travel the world together), but then I finished Stardust and realized the plot I had in mind was the exact same to Stardust's ending (not quite cuz no spoilers). A miraculous coincidence, or maybe it was fate telling me to have Elysian and Jungkook suffer. So if you're unhappy with the things I've put my two babies through, go tell neil on his twitter account @neilhimself (please don't tho)

Also Jungkook was so so so fun to write I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed writing all his snarky dialogue while still having him be hott. Honestly why don't I write more characters like him? I'm seriously missing out.

Chapter twenty-eight; blue and grey - The blue and grey path Minami walks is a metaphor for the path of life :D She wonders what she will leave behind in this world. And the part where she knew that Hobi walked on this same path is from f451 where Montag realizses Clarisse also walked on the path of life he has chosen for himself. Hobi once also thought what he would leave behind as well so that's why lol (and he left behind these wonderful stories :,0 (although I wrote them keke))

Chapter twenty-nine - 4 o'clock should be on spotify. That's it. That's the whole analysis. Chapter thirty; eine kleine - Btw hobi's backstory here is taken from the BU and is only partially true. Hoseok's mother did not abandon him at a carnival and neither did his dad beat her. Just making sure no false info is spread lol

Chapter thirty-one; butterfly - The part where theres a long string of dialogue is inspired from Clay & vinyl during Vera's dream :,)

Chapter thirty-two; film out- yASSSS JOON KNEW MINAMI'S SISTER!! Dw yall this will be a separate story <3 It'll be a prequel to this but not really since you wont need to read that one in order to understand this one and vice versa. But their universes will be connected! Minami's older sister's name shall be Nakamura Nanami. And if anyone's asking, no, Joon and Minami will not be an endgame ship. I really like standalone books without sequels but with connected universes throughout all of the author's different stories so I'm planning to do the same XdChapter thirty-three; the epiphany untold - The title is a mixture of Epiphany and The Truth Untold since I couldn't decide between those two lol

Epilogue; spring day - I wrote this chapter all in one sitting because various times throughout writing this book I had ideas for the last chapters and wrote them down so I copy and pasted 1/4 of this chapter! I don't think much is needed to be said here because I don't wanna ruin it, but I will say that it was Namjoon who put the phone there :] 

Author's note - Scientists once did an experiment on an already purple petunia to add on more purple genes to make it more purple. And purple + puple should equal double purple right? The petunia's kids turned white. And so, I love you to the point of purple references to this :D
