For the photo above I got from a glee confessions instagram page. And that is something I would have had for Kurt for New York too, it would have been really perfect for him to do so.

And his partner would have been Quinn: she had a knack to pick out when someone needed a make over, proven in S1 when she told Kurt to give Rachel a make over.

And their main model would have to be Unique as she knew fashion, clothes and colours and knew everything that Kurt knew

And another character that would have been perfect for it too would have been Rachel.

It would have been Rachel for the reason she self sabotaged her dreams with getting a suspension and also choking. She should have actually gotten rejected and looked at other options in Ohio and realised that there was more to life than just Broadway and New York.

Rachel and Kurt were so similar and having a parallel storyline with each other Kurt in New York and Rachel for Ohio would have brought more of the mentality that there is more out there and more than just musicals, Broadway and glee club. Rachel loved the glee club more than anyone in the entire show, it would have made more sense for the character who loves glee club to take over being a teacher, and noone loves clothes and designing clothes more than Kurt and it would have made more sense for Kurt to have his dream that he states in S3 that he wanted to work for Vogue.
