I hated S5 of Supergirl with a passion. I hated that it was centred around Lena. It made her really unlikeable and annoying.

Firstly making it seem like Kara's life as Supergirl revolves around Lena was a horrible decision and then making her get away with everything and not hold her accountable was the biggest mistake in all of Supergirl. Kara's life doesn't revolve around her. All Lena did was inspire her job and nothing more and basically just forced Kara to be a reporter, and a copy of Clarke Kent.

Lena is the worst mistake in S5. The show dragged her out a lot and made the season so unbearable to watch.

What I would have done is scrap the idea of having Lena work with Eve, and instead have her work with Andrea, explore them deeper, as they have history together that dates back to their college days, and I would have also made Lena not work with Lex and Lillian and have her kill them.

I also would have made Lena go to jail but have the Monitor break her out so she could be the Harbinger. As Lyla was the worst mistake for it.

Plus I would have Lena use William for her own advantage and have him compete with Kara for best reporter in National City.

And in S5 part 2 I would make her a reoccurring character. And have her in jail for everything she did, especially with killing Lex and Lillian, and I would have Lena with Andrea in the end, and also have her not around Kara.
