I do not agree with this storyline at all. Nearly every couple on Glee and Riverdale have cheated on each other. Cheating is not a good thing.

In Glee only two couples should have cheated and in Riverdale only one couple warranted the cheating storyline.

In Glee the only two couples that should have had the cheating storyline are

Brittana- Brittany cheating on Santana with Sam.

In one of the later seasons of Glee, (I think S4) we see Brittany in a depressed state because of Santana being away at college and not making time for her and not making time to call Brittany. While Santana was away, and knowing that Brittany was in a depressed state of mind as she couldn't handle the long distance and even. Instead of this I would have it that Sam was comforting Brittany as they worked on a song together for Brittany to sing for Santana. And then one thing lead to another.

And Brittany would then tell Santana about it and they would break up.

This storyline would have worked for Brittany, Santana and Sam really well. As  we would have gotten to see Brittana outside of Brittana, Santana outside of Brittany properly and the storyline would also not make it seem like Brittany was slumming it with Sam until Santana decided she wanted her, and on top of that it would also break the stereotype of bisexual females only get with girls who are lesbians, not boys as well.

The second couple that should have the cheating storyline is

Will and Terri- Will cheats on Terri with Emma.

In S1 we see that Will and Terri were having problems because of Will's job and them even trying to have a family, which then lead to Terri's fake pregnancy.

Through this Will relied on Emma a lot and even told Emma about the problems they were having in the relationship. In one of the times Will relies on Emma and tells her one of his many relationship problems, Emma being in love with Will even though he was married, Emma should have kissed him and told him that she liked him.

Not only would this work but it would also show just how much Will did rely on Emma, and how much he leaned on her, and would show Emma stepping out of her comfort zone for Will, that she relies on him too.

In Riverdale only one couple warrants the cheating storyline.

Hiram and Hermione- Hermione cheats on Hiram with Fred.

In Riverdale Hiram and Hermione are very toxic for each other. In S1 and even S5 we learned that Hermione and Fred have some kind of history together that dates back to their highschool days.

I would have had it that Hermione cheats on Hiram with Fred instead of the detective, as they have more history and it would have been more interesting since Hiram has a big dislike for Archie.
