Less baking, more Burning
Amethyst's pov
"Ugh, when you said there would be food, I thought it would've already been made." I pouted, sitting on Peridot's counter.
"I'm sorry Amethyst, but you and Peridot need to become better at baking if you want to pass Home Economics." Pearl said, walking past me.
"You can just say Home Ec like everybody else." I grumbled. "So what are we making? Something good?"
"I'd suggest something simple to start with," Peridot said, walking in with a tablet Velcroed to her arm. "The simplest I can find on the internet is chocolate chip cookies with pre made dough." She pulled a stepstool to her freezer and pulled out the Holy Grail of cookie dough.
"Peridot I love you..." I reached for the bag in the short blonde's hand, only to see it disappear and reappear in Pearl's. "What gives?"
"Amethyst, we need this for baking." Pearl said. I pouted.
After a few hours of baking, it was obvious that Peridot and I were not meant to bake.
"Ugh! We'll never pass this class!" I sighed, falling on the floor dramatically.
"We can... always try again?" Pearl suggested, making Peri and I groan.
"Pearl, I refuse to bake another batch of burnt cookies." Peri said.
"They weren't... all burnt. That one batch was severely undercooked!" Pearl said.
"Why don't we just go get Churros or something?" I asked.
"Fine." Pearl agreed, making Peridot and I high five.
"We'll try again tomorrow."
