This is a story in theory that Anya ends up living on Axerivious with Pain/Halo : )

Today was the first day Anya was officially living with Pain. It was currently 10:00 at night and Pain and Anya told each other goodnight. However, one laid awake. 

Anya eventually woke up at midnight and walked to Pain's room to see how it was doing. Pain wasn't there. Confused, Anya looked around the whole house for it. Eventually, she decided to check the roof and found her friend sitting there. 

"Pain? Why aren't you asleep?" Anya asked. "I haven't slept in months, Anya." Pain told her. "Why?" Anya asked, sitting next to Pain. "Nightmares." Pain said, looking at their friend. Their mask was off, so the bruises and wounds on it's face could be seen. 

"Your dad?" Anya asked them. Pain nodded. "And brothers." They said. "That explains a lot.." Anya mumbled. "What do you mean?" Her friend asked. "You're always falling asleep." She told them. Pain looked at the ground. 

"Pain, just try to sleep, ok?" Anya said. "I can't..." Pain mumbled. "Would it be better if I was there? To make sure you were safe while you were asleep..?" Their friend asked. Pain slowly nodded. "It's not something to be ashamed of." Anya said, patting it's back. 

"You were raised in a dangerous household, nightmares might be common for you, and thats ok. We'll ease out of it to make sure you're comfortable!" Anya told them. Pain stood up and so did Anya. They both headed to Pain's room. 

Pain didn't even bother to get on the bed, they curled up on the floor. Anya tilted he rhead, but shrugged and sat next to them. "You have a bed." She told them. "Oh yeah.." Pain hummed and crawled onto their bed. Anya let them curl up in their blankets first before sitting next to them. Pain gave her five extra blankets since Axerivious was typically very cold.  

Pain reached out and grabbed Anya's hand. They played with her fingers lazily until they fell asleep. Anya was about to fall asleep hen she heard a whimper. She opened her eyes and looked at Pain who was shivering in fear. Anya grabbed Pain's hand and Pain held on like life depended on it. 

Pain eventually relaxed and the two slept until 12:00 in the afternoon.
