It was dusk, probably about 8:30 PM. It was late to be heading back to the Outpost, but whatever. I wanted to check on my friends. As soon as I walked in, I saw a gray-winged figure. He turned around, and my eyes widened slightly. It was Echo. I was genuinely surprised that those once bright orange eyes were now duller than stone. He seemed shocked to see me as well. 

We just stared at each other for a moment, before he quietly said, "Why are you back..". "Wha..?" I said slowly, "Oh- I um.. came to check on everyone..". He fell silent, becoming horribly tense. "You mean everyone ELSE-" He said, taking a step back. "What are you talking about-" I said, but was interrupted. "You don't remember? Those times where you told be you were "Busy" but you actually were just hanging out with other people? I didn't realize it until now, Lapis.. but you're a huge. Damn. Liar! A backstabber! The SHITTIEST friend I've EVER had!!" Echo said, speaking harshly. 

So harshly, I flinched. "Buddy.. what are you talking about? You're my best friend!" I said anxiously. Echo gave a small laugh, but he seemed distressed. "I-it's so funny! Because- you know why? Oh- I-i...I actually trusted you! A-a-and I liked you! I liked you a lot- I trusted you with every secret- every little problem- a-a-and... you'd just- talk SHIT about me behind my back!! Y'know whats REALLY funny!? The fact I tried to and succeeded to KILL myself all for YOU!! YOU!! And YOU didn't even LIKE me!! You're a stupid.. silly.. LIAR!!" He said.

I took a step forward, taking a deep breath. He was kind of right, i guess. "Echo, you know that.. isn't right.. We're best friends..!" I said. He did NOT look convinced. "Really? Oh- then what about those rumors you spread about me? How you told EVERYONE about my anorexia- and insomnia when I begged you to keep it a secret- when you GOSSIPED about my problems!? Literally- ALL my life I was taught I was nothing- just a pawn-  a little toy- and YOU are further proving that!" Echo cried out. I was speechless. "I-" I started but he interrupted me. "I hope you're REALLY happy, Lapis. Ruining me to the point of suicide- making me unable to trust people. I Hate You.." He said before jogging off. Maybe this visit wasn't such a good idea.
