This takes place when Salem is in kindergarten (b4 she was homeschooled)

"B-bye Daddy!" Salem called as she and her brother were being dropped off at school. "Bye Salem! Bye Lucifer!" Sloth said before driving off. Salem happily pranced into school, chatting the best she could. 

She was born early, and therefore suffered some defects. She suffered from autism, and had no fear of death. One of her horns grew in wrong, so it needed to be amputated. She also had a lazy eye, and her brain was very slow. She struggled to speak correctly, but she tried her best. 

She waved goodbye to her brother and walked into the classroom. She didn't understand most of what the teacher said, but she tried her best to understand. When it was time for recess, Salem hurried over to the swings and started swinging. Eventually, she let another girl get on and she started to wander the playground. 

"Hey Salem-" Elizabeth, one of her classmates, called. Salem turned around. "Oh..! ....H....hewwo!" She said. Elizabeth looked slightly disgusted. "Why does your eye do that- and why do you look sick-?" She hissed. Salem tilted her head. "Huh..?" She said. 

"The red all over your dumb face!" Elizabeth said dramatically, "And why do you wear those stupid overalls- they make you look chubby, dummy!". 

Salem seemed saddened by this, which caused a blue tint in her eyes. "I-i'm....no...no..t..chubby.." She mumbled. "Talk right!" Elizabeth exclaimed, annoyed. 

"Yes you are! You look chubby! and you're a big dummy! You can't learn on your own!  You look like you have rashes all over your skin and your hair is gross- whats with the halo and wings? You don't look like an angel!" Elizabeth snapped. 

Salem teared up and ran away. When she got home, she walked up to Hope. "Mommy..?" She said, tugging on Hope's dress. "Yes, honey?" Hope said. 

"I no...wanna..go to....skewl.." Salem whimpered. Hope stopped what she was doing. "Why?"She asked, bending down. "Liza..beth.. said...I was....c-c....chubby.." Salem said. Hope patted her head. "Okay.. we'll.. homeschool you, okay?" She said. Salem smiled and nodded.
