Story #9
Hailey embraced the warm summer's air as she walked through the park.
It was moments like this that she loved. When it was only her in her own world and she felt like she could roam anywhere she wanted. After all, the world was her oyster.
She continued along the man-made path, following it around the outside of a playing field.
Hailey breathed in the warm scent of flowers that were growing around her. The cool wind brushed her bare arms as she listened to the quick chirps of the birds from the trees.
Smiling to herself, she sat down on her familiar wooden bench. Hailey loved that particular bench as she had a full view of the park's playing field: families having picnics; children playing football or other games; old people laughing with each other, sharing inside jokes; dogs bounding towards her, and- wait what? Dogs bounding towards her?
Hailey leapt out of her seat as two giant golden retrievers were racing towards her. Unfortunately, she was too slow and the two monsters jumped on top of her, knocking her down to the floor. They continuously licked her face, while she tried to push them off of her.
"Down girls!" A voice commanded. The attack didn't seize however.
"Poppy! Daisy! Get off the poor lady!"
The two beasts whimpered at hearing the harsh tone of their owners voice and immediately backed away.
Hailey tried to look up at her knight in shining armour, but with no success as the sun blinded her while she looked up.
Suddenly, the man crouched down and offered her a hand up, which she graciously took.
"I'm sorry about them," he said apologetically while she brushed her green dress off of any dirt. "They're usually good, but something drew them towards you and then you were thrown to the floor." He ended with a light laugh.
Hailey noticed how his green eyes practically shone as he laughed and how he continued to move his sandy hair from his eyes. His leather jacket fit him well, and he looked like he was about her age.
"Hi," he said nervously and stuck out his hand. "I'm Austin."
"Hey," Hailey replied, while returning his handshake. "I'm Hailey."
And that's all it took. A dog attack and a handshake and soon these two would become unattached.

I'm not good at endings, okay!?
*Sighs*
Yes, I know that it was a badly written romance.
Hey! Don't judge me. It's the summer holidays and my brain has gone to mush.
Anywho, I will hopefully have a better story next month, so stay tuned!
