I was brushing up the glass I had just broke - by accident. I placed all of the bits of glass in the bin, and was about to pour myself a glass of orange juice when I heard a heavy thud behind me. I whipped around and was in shock of my sight.

He was standing by the door, looking all serious. That wasn't like him.

"Alec?" I asked. He took quick strides toward me and gently gripped my waist. I could feel myself stiffen. I gazed into the chocolate eyes above me, as they dropped.

When I looked, I saw. They were full of tears. I thought in confusion of what might've hurt him.

"I'm sorry," he kept repeating. "I'm so, so sorry."

"What for?" I gently asked.

He kept his head down and tears were falling from his eyes. I felt distressed. Here, my best friend was crying, I didn't know what to do. I opted for hugging him and repeating that everything was going to be okay. I wasn't saying it just for him.

He placed his head in the crook of my neck, a water fountain mercilessly keeping me wet.

I hugged him harder. Trying to shush him. Doing anything I could to get him back.

Suddenly, I felt a sharp pain in my back, below my spine. I felt weak and out of breath. I could feel my grasp on Alec loosening, as he was slowly letting me go. I touched my back and felt another stab of pain. I pulled my hand away and examined it. Blood.

I looked up at Alec and he caught me before I fell to my feet. I begun to feel drowsy. My eyes were closing. I was surrounded by darkness and a sobbing voice repeating one word: sorry.

The man left the complex, carrying a broken piece of glass in his hand, crying. It was stained with the blood of his own, and of his lover. With his bag on his shoulder, nobody ever saw him again.

Okay. So. I don't really know what that was. I'm leaning towards a mysterious romantic thriller. Idk tho. Tell me what you guys think. Comment if you want me to do any specific themes.
