*Both Adeona and Deathscyther land in the stadium and race around the stadium at top speed as Adeona comes charging in*

Daina: Bring it!

Athena: Go!!

*Adeona and Deatscyther collide with all their might and immediately get sent flying back*

Daina: Deathscyther, keep going!!

*Deathscyther hits the wall and it comes charging back in for the blow as its scythe began to glow*

Athena: Adeona.. we'll burst him with a full powered burst!

Daina: Hollow Strike!!

Athena: Sovereign Symphony!!

*Both beys clash with all their might and a fierce explosion erupts from the stadium and both beys disengage and become locked in a back and forth clash*

Athena: Adeona, don't give up! Keep going!!!

Daina: Deathscyther, strike them down!!!

*Lane was watching the battle from the stands and he watched as his flare began to faintly glow around him*

Lane: This is all over..

*Adeona and Deathscyther were both starting to lose their spin and it was going to come down to a spin finish.*

Athena: Adeona!!!

Daina: Deathscyther!!

*Both beys eventually came to a complete stop and the first one to stop was Adeona, resulting in Dainas first point*

Athena: W-What the-?!

Daina: Yes!!

Referee: Hollow Deathscyther with a Spin Finish!! Daina Kurogami earns 1 point!!!

*Daina picked up his Deathscyther and looked over towards Athena with a slight smile*

Daina: A point by Spin Finish huh? That's not half bad but we are going to end this with a burst!

Athena: Well then, show me what you can really do then! I'm just itching to defeat Deathscyther!!

Referee: 2nd Battle! Ready Set!!

3 2 1 GO SHOOT!!!

*Both beys land in the stadium once again and the battle proceeded just like the last battle and both of them came straight for the center*

Athena: Let's go!!

*Daina simply grins as Deathscyther sent it flying back using its scythe and it began to fire a fierce barrage of attacks on it*

Athena: N-No way!!!

Daina: This will end it! Hollow Rush!! 

*Deathscyther kept laying into Adeona with a fierce barrage of ruthless strikes and wouldn't let it go!*

Athena: Adeona!!

Daina: Is that all you can do? Don't tell me this is all!

Athena: Tch...

*Deathscythers onslaught continued and Adeona was knocked high into the sky, Athenas Nexus Mark glowed to life and her markings and wings glow brightly as Athena yells out with full power*

*Lane watches from the crowd and he watches in complete shock*

Lane: T-That's-

*Adeona lands back in the stadium and its flare roared to life*

Angel Athena: Adeona!!!

*Athena smiles a bright smile and her hair bursts into a white inferno of flames*

Angel Athena: Adeona, let's go!!

*Athenas flare swirled around her as sparkles began to come off of it*

Daina: Deathscyther!!

*Adeona and Deathscyther collide with all their might and a fierce explosion rings out as both of them were glowing with full power*

Angel Athena: Push them back!

Daina: Cut them to pieces!!

*The explosion gets even more intense as the ground around them began to rumble as streaks of purple and gold surge throughout the arena*

Angel Athena: Adeona!!

Daina: Deathscyther!!!

*Both beys lock blades and the whole world went inverted for a split second and Deathscyther was burst immediately. Daina gasps in shock as the pieces of Deathscyther flew past him and hit the floor with a loud clang*

Referee: Sovereign Adeona with a burst finish! Athena Valhalla wins with a score of 2-1!!

Athena: Alright!!!

*Daina fell to his knees defeated as he picked up the pieces of Deathscyther and looked up at Athena with a slight smile*

Daina: For a newcomer in the Legend rankings, she isn't half as bad as before.. i'm impressed, Athena Valhalla...

*Lane watched from the crowd and his Lucifer was glowing with a purple light and a small smile goes across his face*

Lane: So she mastered the Nexus Mark that quickly..

*Lanes eye flickered with a purple flame and he grinned sinisterly*

Lane: Athena Valhalla... you've certainly got my attention, let's see how well you do in the 2nd round..

*Lane turned and left and his flare glimmered faintly*

---Later that day---

*Athena stood in a training room as she prepared to train and she thought about the coming matches as well as the coming rounds and what was to come.*

Athena: Adeona, we've made it to the 2nd Round and we'll either be facing Valt or Phi there. Next it'll be Aiga VS Delta and Drum VS Gwyn later, this is getting interesting, i wish i could face them all.

*Athena placed her hand on her shoulder where the Nexus Mark resided, and thoughts began to go through her mind*

Athena: We've got this thing mastered in activating it and using it to its fullest potential but the issue is not letting it control me, i've got to stay focused and on target here, I've come to beat Lane and stop this madness forever..

*Athena notices the door opening and Valt comes walking in*

Valt: Oop- Athena?

Athena: Valt?

Valt: What are you doing?

Athena: Nothing at the moment, i just wonder which of you i will be facing in the 2nd Round.

*Valt smiles and he steps closer to Athena*

Valt: Yeah. My opponent is Phi and his Phoenix, it's going to be so much fun!

*Athena nods and she looked down at her bey as her eyes sparkled a bit*

Athena: You aren't the only one looking forward for the future of the tournament. I'm getting all sorts of pumped!

*Valt smiles and he looked down at his Brave Valkyrie.*

Valt: Yeah, i can understand that, this truly is the greatest tournament ever!

*Valts name was called and he headed on up to his match. Both Valt and Phi enter the arena and step up to the stadium*

Phi: Valt Aoi, it's been some time since we officially met and the day has finally arrived that we take part in a battle!

*Phi held up his Eternal Phoenix and it began to glow with a golden light as Valt held up his Brave Valkyrie*

Valt: Yeah, let's make this a fun battle!

*Athena watched from the crowd and her eye flickered with a light glow*

Referee: First Battle!!

*Both bladers take their position and the battle started*

Referee: Ready Set!!

3 2 1 GO SHOOT!!!

*Both beys land in the stadium and Phoenix comes charging for the center and holds it down as Valkyrie comes rushing in for the attack*

Valt: Alright! Kick things off with a Rush Shoot!!

*Valkyrie began to launch its infamous Rush Shoot and started to pelt Phoenix with a barrage of strikes*

Phi: Endure it Phoenix, show no mercy!!

*Phoenix manages to block Valkyries attacks using its Armor and kept on going*

Valt: Let's go!!

*Valkyrie lands a solid blow and blew Phoenix out of the center*

Phi: Burn them away with Phoenix Break!

*Phoenix speeds up using the rubber on its Friction driver and it sends Valkyrie flying high into the air*

Valt: Hold on Valkyrie!!

*Valkyrie lands on the 4th Level and it races down the slope at full speed and races towards Phoenix at full power*

Valt: Brave Sword!!

Phi: Repel them Phoenix!!

*Valkyrie and Phoenix clash and both beys go flying out of the arena at almost the same time, Phoenix was the last one to land*

Referee: Eternal Phoenix with an Over Finish! Phi earns 1 point!!

*Athena watches from the audience as she thought about what just happened*

Athena: Phoenix used its Armor as a wall to protect it from Valkyries attacks, not bad at all.. however knowing Valt, he'll find some kind of way to make a comeback.

*Valt picks up his bey and he stared at Phi who simply just grinned*

Phi: Is that all you can do, Valt Aoi?

Valt: We're only just getting started, we're gonna give it our all in the 2nd battle!

*Phi smiled and his opposite colored eyes glowed brightly*

Phi: Interesting, well then, let's see it then!

Referee: 2nd Battle!!

*Both bladers take their position and the 2nd Battle started*

Referee: Ready Set!!

3 2 1 GO SHOOT!!!

*Both beys land in the stadium once again and Phoenix claims the center once more*

Valt: Let's go! We're gonna break through those defenses, Rush Shoot!!

*Valkyrie unleashes a rapid flurry of attacks and Phoenix was losing its balance already*

Phi: Phoenix!!

Valt: Let's go! Partner!!

*Valkyrie unleashes another brutal strike and blows Phoenixs armor off and it goes flying out of the arena*

Athena: So that's what he's planning.. He knocked out the armor so that way Phi can't use his Eternal Stinger Press..!

Phi: You think that'll faze us!?

*Phoenix tilts on its Friction driver once again and it begins to speed up even more*

Phi: Phoenix Break!!!

*Valkyrie reaches the rim of the stadium and it starts picking up some incredible speed*

Valt: Let's go! Valkyrie!!! Brave Flash!!

*Valkyrie picks up even more speed as its aura began to glow*

Phi: Finish them, Phoenix! Phoenix Break once again!!

*Both beys come charging in for the center as their auras began to glow with full brightness*

Valt: Valkyrie!!

*Both beys collide and get sent flying once again and Phoenix was entering its dark form as Phi's eyes began to turn jet black*

Dark Phi: Phoenix!!!

Dark Phi: You know what to do! Phoenix Break now!!!

Valt: Brave Sword!!

*Valkyrie and Phoenix collide with incredible force as a massive explosion bursts from the stadium and fierce winds blow and nearly blew the bladers off their feet! Both beys go flying and Phoenix burst leaving Phi with a shocked expression!*

Referee: Brave Valkyrie with a Burst Finish! Valt Aoi wins with a score of 2-1!!

*Phi picks up his bey as Valt smiled*

Phi: Valt Aoi.. this truly was a great battle, however the next time we battle, things will end differently.

Valt: We'll see, me and Valkyrie will be ready for you anytime, anywhere!

Phi: Farewell, Valt Aoi. Thank you for a great battle.

*Phi turns and walks off the stage and Valt stared after him with a smile*

---That night---

*The next matches for Block A's round 1 was to take place the following morning, Athena stared off into the distance and began to think about what was to come*

Athena: I'm facing off against Valt in the 2nd Round and Drum, Gwyn, Aiga and Delta have yet to battle. If i win then i could be battling against any of them and they're all super strong bladers.

*She notices Lane walking towards her and she looks at him with a slight smile*

Athena: Lane?

Lane: I have business with you.

Athena: Business?

Lane: How do you have the Nexus Mark back?

Athena: The Nexus Mark?

Lane: I drained that things power straight out of your soul at the Snake Pit! How is it in your possession again?!

Athena: I don't know Lane! This mark just randomly showed up again one day, i can't possibly plan or rig that!!

Lane: Well it doesn't matter anymore but now you are now the most dangerous person in the way of my goals and i won't let you interfere.

Athena: Lane don't you think this has gone on long enough? I mean, you go on about your "strongest Flare" but you fail to see all the harm it does to you and the people around you and don't even get me started on Lucifer, i have the incredible ability to eavesdrop on you and your beys conversations! Lucifer is clearly mixed on your end goals and you are too dense to even realize that.

*Lanes eyes widened as he took a step back*

Athena: And theres me and mom, you abandoned us with no explanation!

Lane: I already told you, i left because i want to become the strongest there is and let my Flare burn as bright as it can!!

Athena: Don't you dare speak to me about your Flare glowing bright, your Flare glows with evil shadows and it's completely ruining you from the inside-out!

Lane: It's a small price to pay for greatness, maybe you should try it as well.

Athena: You're a psychotic.. you're just a big psychopath who cares about nobody but yourself, i put my heart and soul into this journey and you elude me every single time, well this time, you've eluded me for the last time Lane Valhalla!

*Lane stared at her with wide eyes as he took another step back*

Athena: If we face in the finals, then i will absolutely defeat you! If i have to show you the light by force then i will do precisely that! Lane, i love you and i want to see you smile again, i really care about you but i can't help you if you keep rejecting me.. please, think about this..

*Athena turns and starts to walk away and she heads out of sight, Lane was left alone on the bow of the ship as the moon shined over him*

---The Next Day---

*The next day had finally arrived and the 3rd Match of Block A Round 1 was to start in about an hour. Athena rested on the nearest bench and she looked up at Adeona and began to think*

Athena: Sovereign Adeona.. a bey like you incorporates designs and special abilities from all previous evolutions of you, you truly are the ultimate bey.

*Adeona glowed brightly and Athena smiled*

Athena: Yeah, we're gonna win this and you already know what i'm gonna do, we're going to finally beat him, once and for all..
