*It had been some time now and Athena was pretty much now aiming to awaken Adeona to its final and ultimate form. She trained at one of the stadiums that was placed around the boat and she had been going at it for a while now*

Athena: Awaken, Adeona!!

*Adeona charges in and it slams into the walls on its bound wings trying to awaken it that way. None of the hard impacts against the walls worked and Adeonas spin was starting to fizzle out. It eventually came to a halt, unawakened*

Athena: Tch.. why won't it work..! What am i doing wrong?

*Athena was immediately pulled into the avatar world and Adeona stood in front of her*

Athena: Adeona..!

Adeona: What's wrong Athena?

Athena: I've been trying for hours to try and awaken you to your ultimate form but so far i haven't had any luck.

Adeona: I'm sure you'll figure something out, after all you're you.

Athena: I'm... me?

Adeona: Yes, because you're yourself, that'll be the strength you need to awaken me.

*Adeona disappeared and Athena kept on trying to awaken Adeona! Later that evening, Athena went to find Shu as she wanted to have a battle with him once again*

Athena: Shu?

Shu: Athena, it's about time you got here. I heard from Wakiya that you wanted to have a battle in order to awaken Adeona.

Athena: That's right. If i'm gonna beat Lane in a few days then i need to awaken Adeona again to its final form in order to beat him.

Shu: Alright then, regardless i won't be going easy on you tomorrow.

Athena: Neither will i!

Shu: Well in that case, i'll see you tomorrow.

*The sun set and the night falls as Athena stayed up and stared off into the night sky and Aiga came out with her*

Aiga: I heard you're gonna face Shu tomorrow, i can't wait!

Athena: Yeah, i know i can be able to awaken Adeona once again tomorrow.. once i do, i'll be able to defeat Lane with no sweat.

Aiga: Where does that confidence come from?

Athena: From Adeona! once i awaken it again, we won't lose to anyone ever again.

*Athena stared at Aiga with a fierce look as a white aura began to come off of her, Aiga looked at her in surprise and smiled*

Aiga: I see. Well if you're gonna get a lot stronger then so will i!

*Athena nodded as she put her bey away and continued to look up at the stars*

Aiga: You know, i believe you can win against Lane. You've done it multiple times before so i think you can win again this time.

Athena: Maybe.. however, Lucifer lost its own barrier when i battled it at the Snake Pit therefore its attack power has increased greatly at the cost of its defense. Finding a way to beat that is not going to be easy.

Aiga: Well not everything is easy. Lucifer has to have a weakness in it somewhere but where it is has yet to be discovered.

Athena: You're right and i'll exploit its weakness once and for all..

---The Next Day---

*Athena and Shus exhibition match was about to begin! Athena waited in one of the waiting rooms as she waited to be called up, she looks down at her bey with a soft smile*

Athena: Adeona.. today we'll win for sure and i'll make sure you awaken this time!

*Adeona glimmered with a small shine and Athena was finally called up to her match. She heads on to the lift and it carries her up to her match and she sees Shu on the other side of the stadium*

Athena: Adeona.. Let's give it all we got.

*Both bladers walk up to the stadium and Shu immediately held up his bey, World Spriggan as it began to glow a crimson and gold aura*

Shu: Alright, show me how much you've improved since we last battled.

*Athena nods as she held up her bey too and it glowed a white and golden light*

Athena: Shu.. i've been waiting for this battle for a long time and i'll finally be able to show you my true strength. I'll defeat you with a burst finish!

Referee: First Battle!!

Athena: First, i'll go with Attack Mode..

Shu: So she's going with Attack Mode, in that case..

*Shu began to change his 2B Chassis into Attack Mode and both bladers took their positions*

Referee: Ready Set!

3 2 1 GO SHOOT!!!

*Both beys land in the stadium and both beys circle around at top speed*

Shu: Send them flying, Spriggan!

Athena: Adeona now!!

*Adeona dodges Spriggans attack as it slams into the wall and its bound wing began to coil back and a small snap from the spring could be heard*

Shu: W-Was that-?!

Athena: Bound Crush!

*Adeona rebounds off the wall and accelerates towards Spriggan and sent it flying into the air. Spriggan hits the wall and recovers as it began to tilt on the rubber of its Unite' driver and began to speed up greatly*

Shu: Counter Break!!

Athena: Adeona hang in there!!

*Both Spriggan and Adeona lock hard and both beys go flying out of the stadium at the same time, resulting in a draw*

Referee: Double Over Finish! Draw!!

Athena: A draw huh..?

*Both bladers pick up their beys and Shu began to stare at Athena with a bit of a concerned look*

Shu: It was for a brief moment but i saw it.. looks like Adeona is finally starting to awaken at last..!

Athena: Adeona.. we were so close but you'll awaken for sure in the next battle..

Shu: You noticed it too? Adeona is finally starting to awaken.

Athena: It is? How do you know?

Shu: In the battle when it hit the wall, it sounded like its wings were about to move into its new form but the tension of the springs is what stopped it, correct?

*Athena placed her finger along one of Adeonas wings and gently applied a bit of pressure. Shu was right, Adeona was finally awakening! Adeonas wings were loose from the impact from earlier and it was a sign that Adeona was about to reach its final state*

Referee: Second Battle!

*Shu changes his chassis to defense mode and Athena kept her bey in the same mode as earlier*

Referee: Ready Set!!!

3 2 1 GO SHOOT!!!

*Both beys land in the stadium and Spriggan took the center as it went on the defensive. Adeona charges in as it tilts on the +L Attachment and began to speed up greatly*

Athena: Burst! Bound Crush!!

Shu: Drive them away! World Spin!!

*Spriggan immediately put up its defenses and repelled Adeonas attack using its free spin chassis. Adeona climbs the stadium slope and races back down as it prepared for another attack*

Athena: One more time! Bound Crush!!

*Adeonas attack was a bit more stronger as it managed to knock Spriggan away but it immediately reclaimed the center*

Shu: It's over!

Athena: No it isn't! We're just getting started!!

*Adeona began to speed up as it geared up for the next attack*

Athena: Knock them away with Bound Crush!!

*Adeona skids in and knocks Spriggan farther back but it grinded on the rubber of its Unite' Driver and began to charge up for its attack*

Shu: Cut them to pieces! World Spark!!

*Spriggan pierces through Adeona with the speed of a lightning bolt and sent it flying out of the stadium and it burst the second it hit the ground*

Athena: N-No way..

Referee: World Spriggan with an Over Finish! Shu Kurenai is awarded 1 point!

Athena: Still not awakened yet but we'll definitely beat Shu here.. i can feel it!

Shu: Still going with Attack mode is she? How predictable..

*Both bladers take positions and their auras began to glow as both of them were sent to a white void as their avatars materialized behind them*

Referee: Third Battle! Ready Set!!

3 2 1 GO SHOOT!!!

*Both beys land and both of them spun around in the white void as both beys were engaged in a fierce back to back clash*

Shu: Spriggan! Slice through them!

Athena: Go forth Adeona! Take them down!!

*Both beys charge in and clash with full strength as their auras began to surge and fly around in the white void. Spriggan disengages and speeds up with full speed*

Shu: End this! World Slash!!

*Spriggan slashes across Adeona with full strength as the void breaks and both were sent back to the real world. Spriggans wings grinded against Adeonas bound wings as they began to coil back as the spring inside began to spark and strain from the pressure*

Athena: tch... DO IT!!!

*Adeonas wings break past the barrier keeping them in that mode and Adeonas wings lock into place as they were perfectly aligned with the blades on the chassis. Adeona had finally awakened as it went flying from Spriggans attack*

Shu: W-What the-?!

Athena: ALRIGHT! WE DID IT!! ADEONA IS FINALLY AWAKENED!!

*Athena roars out as a golden and white flare began to surround Adeona. her hair glowed with a white energy as her eyes began to glow*

Athena: Go Adeona!!

*Adeona began to speed up even more as a gold and white stream of light trailed behind it from the intense Flare*

Shu: Spriggan!!

*Both beys come in for the clash as their auras were glowing bright*

Shu: World Slash!!

Athena: Ultimate Crush!!

*Both beys clash with full force as the stadium erupts with bolts of red and gold! Adeonas wings glowed with a purple light and Spriggan burst immediately as the pieces flew in front of Shus face and they hit the floor with a loud clang. Shu simply smiled as Athena continued to glow with a bright Flare*

Referee: Guardian Adeona with a burst finish! Athena Valhalla wins with a score of 2-1!!

*Athena stood in shock as she picked up her bey which had finally awakened to its final form*

Athena: Adeona.. You've finally awakened, now we'll be able to beat Lane for sure.. the bond that we share we'll never be broken!

*White sparkles shined and swirled around Athena as a veil of light covered her. She smiled and almost relaxed as the light surrounding her felt rather comforting..*

---Later that evening---

*Athena walked into Lanes abandoned factory and she looked around. Lane wasn't in there so Athena had all the time she needed to take a look around, she walked over to another room in the factory and she noticed a workbench plus a pool of lava in the center of the room. She notices a few beys on the workbench plus a blueprint of another bey, Athena felt very sick looking at the blueprint: It was a design of what looked to be a new Lucifer and this one was far more advanced than the beys Lane had used in the past*

Athena: Is he plotting to make a new bey..?!

*Athena noticed fragments of First Uranus, Variant Lucifer, Flare Lucifer and Lucifer The End laying on the table, next to them were fragments of the Legends beys.. the ones he had destroyed himself! Fragments of Valkyre, Achilles, Fafnir, Longinus, Ragnaruk, Diabolos and Athenas very first bey: Guide Adeona were scattered across the table and they surrounded the blueprint*

Athena: has he been keeping fragments of Bladers beys this entire time just so he can evolve Lucifer again? Was this what Ashtem and Lane have been planning all this time?!

*Athena was starting to get so scared she almost threw up from fear. An evil atmosphere was radiating from the blueprint and Athena didn't want to touch it much less go near it. She notices a paper that had the Valt, Aiga, Free, Lui, Ranjiro and Deltas face on it but they were x'ed out and the only ones left was her and Shu! It was a list of the Legends Lane needed to break in order to make the perfect bey*

Athena: Everyones gotta know about this!

*Athena ran out of the factory and she went to find Shu. Lane who had been watching from the factories balcony smiled creepily as his flare began to radiate with an evil sensation!*

Lane: Tell them all you like.. but you won't be able to stop the arrival of the ultimate bey in existence, only you and Shu remain and you both will have the honor of being apart of the creation of the perfect defense type!!

*Lane goes over to the workbench and places his bey on the table as it began to glow with a purple light, the surrounding fragments of the legends beys glowed in response to it*

Lane: Soon, i'll reign over this world with an iron fist! The Valhalla Royal Family will fall, the Legendary Bladers will fall and lastly, Athena Valhalla: the thorn in my side that just will not go away, i'll have the honors of silencing her and her following legacy and SHE WILL FALL!!!

*Lane snatched up his bey as a purple and black explodes outward and swarmed all around him. A shadow of Lucifers avatar appeared over him as two green eyes peered out from the shadow!! Lane screamed out as the overwhelming power coursed and surged through his veins..!*

---Meanwhile---

Shu: Are you serious?!

Athena: Yeah. you, i, Valt, Aiga, Free, Lui, Ranjiro and Delta are all apart of the creation of some sort of new Lucifer that Lane is planning on making. Apparently, once he destroys both Adeona and Spriggan, that'll be when his Lucifer is ready to be evolved.

Wakiya: An interesting hypothesis indeed but it doesn't make much sense, if Lane wanted to evolve Lucifer then why not just do it? Why does he need fragments of broken beys in order to do so, and brings another question: how did he even get the fragments of those beys?!

Shu: I believe Lane is trying to use our beys best abilities against us by implementing them all into one full bey, the only legends he's after is me and Athena and he won't stop until he destroys us both, if we're the last 2 on his list then he'll be hellbent on finding us and destroying us.

Wakiya: That's more worrying as Athena has a match with Lane in a few days, he'll probably take that chance then to break Adeona.

Athena: You think we'll be able to stop him.

Shu: Lane has gone too far deep now, i hate to say it but there may be no saving him.. i'm sorry.

Athena: No! I know the real Lane is in there somewhere! If you or Phi or whoever could be brought back from darkness then Lane can too.

Shu: This is different Athena! Lane has become more of a monster than me or Phi ever could, theres no way you could bring him back alone.

Athena: You don't know what you're talking about! the Lane that was kind and loving when we were younger is still in there somewhere and i will not stop until i bring him back, i never go back on my word and i stand by that!

Shu: Athena..

Athena: Whether you're with me or not, i will bring Lane back and there is nothing anyone can do to stop me!

*Athena turned and stormed off as she went to find a quiet place to collect her thoughts. She sat at a park bench and she held Adeona in her hand as she was dragged into the Avatar World*

Adeona: What's wrong Athena? This isn't like you at all.

Athena: i just don't know what i'm gonna do.. if Lane keeps this up then he WILL die, i refuse to stand by and let that happen Adeona! I'll stop that from happening even if it kills ME!

Adeona: i think you need to calm down, you're acting and thinking completely irrationally! I hate to see you like that, wheres the happy and cheerful Athena i know so well? I know you have such strong feelings towards Lanes safety but you need to chill and take it a step at a time.

Athena: What if taking it a step at a time is no longer possible.. times running out and Lane has bigger and more sinister plans on the rise, maybe Shu is right.. maybe i can't stop him.

Adeona: Ok that tears it!

*Adeona swings her sword with full force and it zips straight past Athenas face as a surprised expression flew across her face*

Athena: Adeona..

Adeona: I don't want to see you like this Athena, Lane might be strong but we're stronger together! remember when you fought Lane in New York? I've never had that much fun battling with you in my life, that was the greatest battle i could ever be apart of.

Athena: Adeona..

Adeona: i know it's gonna be rough but we're gonna see this through to the end and i'll be right there with you the whole way through.

*The avatar world began to disappear and Adeona began to fade away*

Adeona: I care about you Athena, i always will.

*Athena finally woke up and her Adeona lied in her hand as it began to glow*

Athena: I finally understand Adeona.. you're the greatest bey anyone could ever ask for..
