---That Night after the Legend Conference, Athena walked throught the city of Japan as she headed her way to the cliffside. After about an 20 minutes of walking, Athena made it to the cliff that looked over the entirety of the city---

Athena: There were so many Legends at that conference.. even people like Gwyn, Phi, Daina and even Zac! This new tournament is gonna be so much fun and i can't wait to battle the Legends officially again.

*She looked down at her bey and then she stared up into the beautiful night sky, she began to think about all the key moments from her journey: Her beys birth, meeting the legends for the first time, competing in the Legend League, having her bey destroyed at the hands of Lane, the Valhalla Manor clash and her final showdown with Lane and now.. she had returned to Japan to finish what she started.*

Athena: All this time, Lane has shown me time and time again that his Flare was damaging him with everything it had.. now, it's gotten even worse now that he has went to the Snake Pit..

*Athena left the cliffside and went back to town. As she walked through town, she passes by the Bombers and she could hear the Asahi Brothers still training inside. Curious, she goes up to the door and took a peek inside: there was nobody in there but them. She goes inside as she gives the 2 brothers a smile*

Athena: How's it going guys?

*Hikaru and Hyuga were ecstatic to see Athena again, Athena walked up to the stadium with the 2 brothers*

Hikaru: Wait- Athena you're back?!

*Athena nods and Hyuga rushes up to the stadium first*

Hyuga: Alright!! I'm up first against her!!

*Hikaru got mad and pushed his brother aside*

Hikaru: No! I am!!

Athena: Hyuga. You're up.

*Hyuga jumped up in joy and Hikaru lowered his head in disappointment, Hyuga and Athena stood at the stadium as their battle was about to begin*

Athena: Hyperion Burn.. A Right Spin Attack Type that is apart of the Limit Break System... Show me how much you have improved Hyuga!

*Athena immediately activates her Nexus Mark and the markings cover her face, arm and body. Hyuga and Hikaru watch in horror as Athena had transformed*

Hyuga: A-Athena..

Hikaru: T-That's-

Demon Athena: You had better get ready because i will break you in this battle!

*Hyugas face of fear went to a face of determination as he got in his launch position, Athena did the same as her crimson aura glowed to life*

3 2 1 GO SHOOT!!!

*The beys land in the stadium and Adeona scraped on its new attachment which made it speed up immediately. Hyperion was going very fast too thanks to its +X attachment*

Hyuga: Alright! Zoom Zoom Hyperion!!

*Hyperion entered its Flare as Athena watched in a bit disgust. Hyperion and Adeona rush in with great attacks. Adeonas wings compressed and it sent it flying with a fierce bound attack*

Hyuga: W-Wow! Adeona has gotten so much more stronger but we're not gonna lose here!!

Demon Athena: Just give up! You're obviously not gonna win!!

*Adeona lands a brutal attack and sends Hyperion flying as it entered its Limit Break form*

Hyuga: We're just getting started! Now go, Hyperion!!

*Hyperion began to tilt on its driver as it geared up for a major strike*

Hyuga: Burning Strike!!

*Hyperion takes off as its 4 wings glowed with a burning red glow, Adeona began to shine in a evil red flare as it dodged the attack and comes back for another attack. Hikaru watched in horror as Adeona was glowing with an evil flare. Hikaru launched his Helios into the ring as both Hyuga and Athena gasped in surprise*

Hikaru: I won't let you!!

*Helios rushes in and knocks Adeona away as it flew into one of the speedcradles. Helios and Hyperion clash and lock together as their disks touch the stadium as a surge of sparks shoot up behind them*

Hikaru: Go Helios!!

*Both beys flare activated and they race down the stadium at top speed, Adeona jumps out of the speed cradle at top speed as her dark bond finally glowed to life*

Demon Athena: Destroy them! Adeona!!

Hikaru/Hyuga: Twin Strike!!

*the 3 beys clash a fierce explosion of purple, red and blue erupt from the stadium! Adeona push the 2 beys back as it began to drain both of their flares at once*

Hikaru/Hyuga: Keep going!!

Demon Athena: Die! Dark Slash!!

*Adeona sends a crack through both beys and they break into 2 pieces and their parts go flying into the air. Hikaru and Hyuga gasp as the broken pieces of their bey flew in front of them, Athena returns to normal and she turns and walks away.*

Athena: How weak.. Beys of that level have no right to take me on!

*Hikaru and Hyuga watch in horror at their beys as Athena left the Bombers..*

---The Next Day---

*Athena trains alone at the Sparking Arena as sweat began to drip from her face and into the stadium, Shu and Rantaro watched her from afar*

Shu: So Helios and Hyperion were destroyed by Athena?

Rantaro: Yeah.. Shu, what is going on with her?

Shu: Honestly.. i'm not even sure if i know.

*Rantaro looks at Shu and back at Athena who was pretty much pushing herself way past her limits. Shu watches in worry as Athena screamed as loud as she could as her red flare squirmed and flashed across the training arena, the surrounding bladers screamed and ran away in fear*

Shu: Seeing her like this leaves a bad taste in my mouth, I've seen one too many bladers walk down that dangerous path that i once did.. i'm taking her to the Snake Pit to end this because whatever is doing this to her was caused by something Ashtem did.

Rantaro: You really want to go back there even after all the trouble it caused you?

Shu: We really don't have much of a choice. Valt, and Aiga had already volunteered to go so are you in or not?

*Rantaro sighed and reluctantly agreed*

Rantaro: Alright, i'm in.. but are you really sure about this?

*Shu nodded as he watche Athena rampage even more*

Shu: We have to do this, this is all for Athenas sake.. not mine or anyones elses.

*Rantaro smiled and nods as he continued sucking on his lolipop, Shu looked down at his Spriggan as his aura began to glow*

---A Few Hours Later---

*Athena ran through Japan as she felt like she was losing her sanity, she noticed a weird looking shadow on the ground and she looked up and saw Delta sitting on a pillar above her*

Delta: I heard about your battle with the Asahi brothers yesterday, you've definitely crossed a couple of lines destroying Hyperion and Helios.

Athena: Why does it matter to you?!

Delta: It doesn't, to be quite honest with you but i won't let you go around and destroy beys.

Athena: You really think YOU can stop me? Get real!

Delta: You didn't forget that i had already beaten you recently? Still think i won't be able to stop you.

Athena: Perhaps not but do you actually think you are in control here? Because you're not!

*Delta looked at her surprised as Athenas eyes flashed with an evil glint of red*

Athena: I have no interest in battling you.

*Athena walked away as Delta stared after her with a concerned look in his eyes. Athena stopped and turned towards him*

Athena: One battle and that is it..

*Delta nodded and both bladers went to find a stadium, Delta went with Abyss Diabolos while Athena went into Right Spin with her Chassis in attack mode*

Delta: Alright, bring it on!!

*Delta held up his bey as Athena began to transform once more, the evil markings covering her face, arms and body*

Demon Athena: We'll end this quickly, get ready!!

*Both bladers get ready and take position*

3 2 1 GO SHOOT!!!

*Both beys land in the stadium and Diabolos took the center as it went on the defensive. Adeona rushes in and comes in for the blow*

Delta: Take the attack!

Demon Athena: It's useless!

*Adeona strikes with all its might and Diabolos go flying up into the air. Diabolos lands back down in the stadium and tilts on the ring of the Wave driver and speeds up for an attack of its own*

Delta: Crush them! Abyss Smash!!

*Diabolos pushes Adeona against the floor of the stadium and sent it flying as well*

Delta: How's that!?

*Adeona lands back down and tilts on the rubber of its driver and the metal attachment and speeds up greatly*

Demon Athena: This is only the beginning.

*Adeona and Diabolos were then locked together in a fierce frenzy of attacks as gusts of wind whipped in their faces as each and every attack landed. Adeonas wing glowed and sent Diabolos flying once again*

Delta: Diabolos!!

*Diabolos landed back in the stadium as it entered Gold Turbo. Athena screams out as her flare swarms the both of them*

Demon Athena: Adeona!!!

*Both beys clashed head on as a massive explosion burst out! Both bladers scream out as Athenas eyes were pulsing with a red energy, memories of breaking Wyvern, Hyperion and Helios flashed through her mind as she roars out even more! The clash ends as Adeona burst straight through Diabolos as Delta gasps in shock as he went to pick up the pieces of his bey. Athena continued to scream in victory as Delta looked up at her and saw the scariest thing he had ever had the misfortune of seeing in his life: Athena was smiling as her red eyes were as red as blood, the atmosphere around her was incredibly sinister and bone chilling*

Delta: I was right, you have changed!

*Athenas body returned to normal as she stared down at the defeated Delta*

Athena: I haven't changed at all, i've simply gotten stronger! And i'll continue to get stronger too.

*Delta stared at with concern and a bit of anger*

Delta: Just how far are you willing to go?

Athena: I'll go as far as i need to and nothing is going to stop me..!

*Athena runs off as Delta watched her, his disappoint was immeasurable*

---At Dusk---

*Athena, Shu, Valt, Aiga and Rantaro all got on the plane to go to the Snake Pit to find out just what was going on with Athena. Athena stared down at Adeona as the plane took off into the sunset and its destination being Mexico*

Athena: Lane.. just you wait, i'm coming for you!

*the journey to mexico had begun*

The team finally arrives in Mexico and heads to the Snake Pit for knowledge about what is going on with Athena but something even more sinister was waiting for them..
