*Free and Athena stare each other down as their auras glowed, meanwhile Lane watched from afar as his bey glowed in his hand*

Free: That Flare.. that darkness is incredibly overwhelming..

*Athena let out a demonic screech as her Flare erupts in response. Her mark began to evolve further as more markings began to climb her body as her teeth began to get more sharper as her eye color turned red. Free watched in disappointment at Athena as her new transformation was complete*

Demon Athena: Get ready Free! I'll break you to pieces!!!

Free: Yeah, i'd like to see you try.

*Both bladers take positions as the battle was about to start, their auras glowing brightly*

3 2 1 GO SHOOT!!!

*Both beys land in the stadium and Fafnir takes the center in Absorb Mode, Adeona rushes in with Left Spin and its Chassis in Defense mode*

Free: Now bring it on.. Show me how much you've grown!!!

Demon Athena: Destroy them!!

*Adeonas movements were fast and sharp as it lands a brutal attack on Fafnir and sent it flying, Free grinned as Fafnir landed back down in the stadium and returned to the center once more*

Free: Your attack has improved but let's see if you can keep up with this.

*Fafnirs Nothing driver began to compress as Adeona began to launch another fierce barrage of deadly attacks, Fafnir would not budge as its Nothing driver was reduced to a giga flat and raced out of the center at the speed of light. Athena gasped as she watched Fafnir race onto the upper deck with a streak of yellow trailing behind it*

Demon Athena: W-What the-?!

Free: Strike with Nothing Break!

*Fafnir jumps off the upper deck and slams into Adeona with full strength as the stadium explodes with a fierce gust of wind. Both beys go flying back and land back in the stadium, Adeona glowed with a crimson red as its wing began to glow*

Demon Athena: Send it flying! Dark Guardian Bound!!

*Using its wings in its new mode, Adeona unleashes an incredible bound attack that sends Fafnir flying upward*

Free: It's over! Now Mirage Claw!!

*Both beys collide and both of them go flying out of the stadium and hit the ground at the same time, resulting in a draw. The evil Athena screams in frustration as she points her finger towards Free in severe anger*

Demon Athena: WHY YOU-?!!

*Free stared at her concerned as he picks up his bey, Athena looks at Free with a furious look as her flare raged in response*

Demon Athena: You... I'll destroy you for sure in the next battle!!

*Free leaves his Fafnir into counter mode as Athena went into Right Spin with her chassis in Attack Mode, both bladers take positions as the battle started once again*

3 2 1 GO SHOOT!!!

*Both beys land in the stadium and Fafnir took the center as it was spinning incredibly slowly as Adeona rushes in for the attack*

Demon Athena: Lets go!!

*Adeona lands a brutal attack but Fafnir managed to absorb the attack and get even faster, Adeona continues its assault as Fafnir began to absorb more and more of its stamina*

Free: You know, Attacks like those won't beat Fafnir. You probably should kept Left Spin mode as you would be able to counter my spin absorption..

*Athena got extremely heated with rage as Adeona began to turn jet black as both of their flares were as black as the night sky. Free watched in disappointment at the possessed Athena, he knew he couldn't do anything to stop her.*

Demon Athena: Tear them apart!!

Free: Fafnir now!!

*Fafnir dodges the attack and it was now going on the offensive as it sped up even more*

Free: It's time! Mirage Claw!!

Demon Athena: Dark Guardian Bound!!

*Both beys clash and the stadium erupts with a giant purple beam of light as it shoots into the sky with a loud boom, both beys go flying up into the air and Adeona burst as its evil colors vanished. Athenas Nexus Mark deactivates and she collapses to the floor and falls unconscious. Free looked down at her with disappointment as he turned and walked away*

Free: You are not the Athena i once faced at the Legend League, what a disappointment and waste of my time..

*Free walked away as Athena was still rendered out-cold. The next morning came and Athena woke up on the beach and she stared into the sky as the pieces of her Adeona lied next to her head*

Athena: Adeona...

*Athena got up as a small hint of her evil red flare began to sparkle behind her*

---A While Later---

*Free spoke to Shu about Athenas new mark and how it was getting even stronger*

Shu: I see, So Athenas Nexus Mark is growing even more..

Free: Yeah.. during the battle, i could see her future if she continues down that path, Im telling you Shu it doesnt look good. If this keeps up, then Lane will be the least of our problems.

*Shu looked away as Free began to turn and leave*

Free: Something needs to be done about her as soon as possible, if she isn't stopped then she'll become more dangerous than Lane will ever be. She make not look it like it because of her looks, but Athena has the potential to be even more dangerous than Phi was.. You and i both know how badly that went.

Shu: Well Phi is a changed person now but i do see your point.

*Free left and Shu went to go find Athena*

---Noon---

*Athena sat down at one of the parks picnic tables and ate her some lunch, she looked down at her hand which bore the Nexus Mark. Athena looked at it in disgrace as she kept eating, not even acknowledging it. Shu shows up and sits down at the table with her*

Athena: Shu..?!

Shu: I heard you've been doing well.

*Athena smiled and got all excited*

Athena: Yeah, i've been getting a lot stronger! I battled Daina, Free and Phi! But unfortunately, they all beat me.. but hey, thats not gonna stop me from getting even stronger than i am now!

Shu: Y-Yeah that's great to hear.

*Athena smiles brightly and continued eating, Shu watched her in worry as he worried about the evil power that currently resides within the deepest parts of her heart. Something in him worried that Athena could possibly be the next Red Eye or Phi if she didnt stop*

---Later that day---

*Athena walks past the Bombers as she could hear the Asahi brothers training inside, her memory runs wild as she recalled all the good times she had with them. In some ways, she felt like she truly belonged with them, Red and Blue combined made purple and that is what Athena truly was: The embodiment of what Purple represented.*

*Athena keeps walking as she toured all the other famous locations that seemed familiar, She visited the old GT Arena, The Neo Bey Arena and even the arena where the infamous District Tournament was held all those years ago. She even visited other places like The Victories, Beigoma Academy, Fumiya Kindos Team: The Spark Devils and so much more. Later that evening, Athena was super tired from all the walking she did today but she did feel like she lost a few pounds so she thought that was a plus. She runs into the Sparking Arena and walks into a bey-lab as she recalled the words Phi had told her: "You've got excellent skill and power but there is something you're missing.."*

Athena: Adeona's Love driver has space for an attachment.. So i'll give Adeona a little upgrade and we'll see how strong you truly get..

*Athena got straight to work on the new attachment as sparks began to fly and hiss as Athena smiled with sinister satisfaction, it only took her about 10-15 minutes to complete the upgrade and it was finally done. The new attachment was made of metal as it goes on Adeonas Love Driver and adds extra support and burst resistance to Adeona. Athena puts the attachment onto Adeonas driver as it began to glow with a fierce and evil crimson flare*

Athena: Don't you worry Adeona.. we'll crush everybody soon...

---Later---

*The sun was setting over Japan and Valt Aoi was doing some incredible training for the Sparking Legend Tour in a few weeks, Shu appears next to him and Valt stared at him concerned*

Valt: Shu..? How'd it go?

Shu: Not that great, Athena still has that mark and now i don't even know where she went.

Valt: I last saw her go to the Sparking Arena but she's probably long gone from there by now.

Shu: What was she doing there?

Valt: She said she wanted to make some modifications to Adeona.

Shu: Modifications? What kind?

Valt: She didn't say but she didn't seem like the kind person she usually is, she seemed a lot more mad than happy. I guess that means Free defeated her.

Shu: About that, i beginning to think we may not even be able to reach Athena at this point..

Valt: What are you talking about?

Shu: i still have hope but if we don't do something quickly then Athena will be too far gone to even be saved..

Valt: Shu..

Shu: Free even said it himself, if Athena isn't stopped as soon as possible then she'll become more dangerous than Lane ever will.

*Valt looked at Shu concerned as the sun began to set behind the clouds and the trees. Something sinister was on the horizon and it was hunting Athena down and it would not stop until it had her within its grasp*

---The Next Day---

*Athena ran to the Sparking Arena as she was told today was going to pretty exciting, she runs through the door and she heads to the conference room where all the Legends were. Wakiya leads her to a seat next to Rantaro. Shu Kurenai and Lane Valhalla were not present*

Wakiya: I've gathered you all here today because there is incredible news. The Sparking Legend Tour will be held on a luxurious Cruise Ship that was supplied to us by the wbba and its destination will be here at the Sparking Arena where the Semi-Finals and the Finals will be held.

*Athena looked at all the participants of the tournament, on the screen she saw: Valt, Shu, Aiga, Lui, Free, Sisco, Drum, Delta, Phi, Gwyn, Xhaka, Daina, Zac, Rantaro, herself and Lane. All the Legendary were coming together for the ultimate tournament in Beyblade History.*

Wakiya: The first round and second round will take place on ship, the Semi-Finals and Finals will be held back here at the Sparking Arena. The prize of winning will be declared at the Sparking Legend Tour Champion but will also be considered the best Legend in the world.

*Athenas eyes widened in surprise as the logo for the tournament appeared on the screen, her Adeona began to glow with red flare as she was starting to get very fired up. After the conference, Athena went on her own to train as the wind began to blow her hair out of her face as she held Adeona on her launcher.*

Athena: The best Legend huh..? Such a title has no meaning for me.. GO SHOOT!!!

*Adeona lands in the stadium as its evil flare began to engulf it, Athena grins sinisterly as Adeona spun around the stadium at top speed*

Athena: I'll crush every last blader in this world and nothing can stop me now...
