*Athena looks at Lane as his Flare burned and rised, Athena held up her bey to Lane as she smiled brightly*

Athena: You see Lane! This is the power of our bonds and Flare!

Lane: A bond you say? Oh what a quaint little notion!

*Lane loses his mind and laughs like an absolute maniac, his laugh echoing across the arena. He resets his bey back to its original state as it began to emit a purple light*

Lane: Well Lucifer, it seems Adeona is worthy prey for you after all.

*He looks up and stares at his sister as the purple mist swirled around him*

Lane: Well done, i must give you my compliments for making it this far.. HOWEVER, that so called bond between you and Adeona will severed right here and now.. by Lucifer and yours truly!!

*a veil of fire rises behind Lane as the eyes of Lucifer peek through the flames. Athena takes a step back in fear*

Athena: Whats he doing?!

*Athena noticed that the crowd was cheering even louder, they were chanting HER name*

Lane: Would you look at that Athena, everyone is cheering for you.. does it feel good?

Athena: Of course it does!

Lane: Well then, you may enjoy it for a while longer.. BECAUSE THIS WILL BE THE LAST TIME YOU'LL EVER GET TO!!!

*Athena was enveloped in a black aura as it completely consumed her, she wakes up in a black void where there was just nothing, she then hears a eerie voice from Lane*

"i promise Lucifer will consume every bit of light that you possess..."

*Athena screams in fear as everything around glitched and a loud static began to fill her ears, many voices of Lane began to echo in the void! Tears fill Athenas eyes, one tear falls on Adeona but then...*

Adeona: Athena, don't be afraid!!

*Athena was brought to a light void where it was all beautiful, little bubbles rose all around her and in those bubbles were the images of her friends. in one, she saw Valt*

Vision Valt: Trust in Adeona and relax, you've got this!

Vision Aiga: You can do this Athena, believe in yourself and in Adeona!

*Everyone else surrounded her in their bubbles and Athena smiled happily*

Athena: He's not swallowing me up.. i won't let him! We won't lose our way to him, not ever.

*Elaina watches in awe as she watched her daughter smile with such confidence*

Elaina: She's smiling..

Shu: That's because she is enjoying this battle with her brother, she wants to have fun in this battle and show him that its not about the Flare and the power..

Referee: Fourth Battle!

Athena: Lane let's go!

Lane: Yeah... i'll break you!

Referee: Ready Set!

3 2 1 GO SHOOT!!!

*The beys land in the stadium once again and Lucifer takes the center again, Adeona races around the stadium with great speed*

Athena: Now go!!

*Adeona rushes Lucifer with a fast barrage of attacks, its movements resembling that of Rush Shoot*

Athena: We're gonna win this, we'll give it everything we got!!

*Adeona glows white as it continues its rapid onslaught of attacks*

Lane: That's it! Give us more, Lucifer is absolutely ecstatic!!!

Athena: Let's go!!!

*Lucifers lock begins to advance as Adeona knocks it back. Lane grins as his Flare rises*

Lane: Lucifer!!!

Lane: The End Disaster!!!

*Lucifer comes in for its attack, all its contact points glowing purple*

Athena: I knew you were gonna do that! Adeona, Stop them with Heaven Slash!!

*Both beys clashed and a massive explosion erupts from the stadium and Adeona sends Lucifer flying*

Athena: Yes!

*Adeona began to wobble but it still had plenty of power left, Lucifer landed on the upper deck as Lane loses his mind and the Devils Mark opened up and corrupted his body*

Demon Lane: Now Lucifer.. DESTROY!!! DOUBLE THE END DISASTER!!!

*Lucifer slams into the wall and uses its parts to rebound off the wall and straight towards Adeona*

Athena: Here it comes, get out of there!!

*Adeona dodged the attack but Lucifer hits the other wall and its trajectory changes straight towards Adeona*

Athena: What the?!

Demon Lane: The End Harbinger now!!!

Athena: OH NO!!

*Both beys clash and a massive explosion followed by a face slapping shockwave, Athena shields her face as both beys go flying up. The sound of a bey bursting rings out and the parts of Lucifer fall into the stadium as Adeona fell out of the stadium last*

Demon Lane: WHAT?!!

*Athena gasps in shock as she saw Lucifers pieces in the center of the stadium, her shock turns into happiness as she jumps up in excitement!*

Athena: ALRIGHT WE DID IT!!!! HEHE!!!

Referee: Adeona Heaven with a burst finish!! Athena Valhalla gets 2 points!! The score is now 2-2!

*The crowd cheers loudly as Athena continued to celebrate, Lane picked up his bey and put it back together as its aura began to flow out once more*

Lane: Lucifer... it's time now.. let's relish their destruction!

Athena: Adeona.. this will be the final round! Let's give it all we got!!!

*Athena powered up as she screams out at the top of her lungs, she becomes completely consumed in a white twister of fire! The area around them was empty but fire surrounded them, Lane laughed as he watched Athena surge with power and flare*

Lane: That's it! Show us more of that!!

*Lane screamed out as well, a purple and black veil of fire surging out from underneath him as his eyes glowed purple. Both bladers continued to scream as their auras of fire touched and Athena was brought to a void where she stood on the edge of a canyon, there she sees Adeona again*

Athena: Adeona...

Adeona: You're doing incredibly well in this match, i'm proud of you Athena and all of your accomplishments.

Athena: Thanks Adeona, i guess i'm truly worthy for you.

*Adeona sets out her hand on the canyon for Athena to get on*

Adeona: You've always been worthy of me and my power, now get on.

*Athena nods and smiles and she gets on Adeonas back, Adeona then turns around and jumps high into the skies as her energy wings extend and both of them fly through the skies, Athena whoops and squeals as they fly through the air. The world disappears and the void of fire appears once again, Lane standing on his side with a smug look on his face*

Athena: We'll win this together as one Adeona!

Referee: Fifth Battle!!

*Both beys took their positions and the battle was about to begin, this was the final battle*

Referee: Ready Set!!!

3 2 1 GO SHOOT!!!

*The beys land in the stadium for the last time and Lucifer took the center instantly*

Athena: Now go!!!

*Adeona clashes with Lucifer hard, both of their Limit Breaks activating upon impact*

Lane: Stop them with The End Wall!!!

*Lucifer repels the attacks but Adeona comes right back in for another attack, Lane grins as his aura flares out intensely*

Lane: I am the Jet-Black Sun!! Nobody can defeat me or my Lucifer!!!

*Lucifer glows in flare as its wall glows even more, Athenas hair comes undone as it all turns white*

Athena: Adeona!!!

Athena: End this with Heaven Slash!!!

*Adeona slashes across Lucifer and knocks it back, Lanes eyes narrow as his rage boils to its highest point yet*

Lane: Crush them with The End Disaster!!!

*Lucifer accelerates as its contact points glow, Lane goes insane as the Devils Mark corrupts his body and his mind*

Demon Lane: You shall perish and die within the flames of the black sun!!

*In the avatar world, a bolt of purple flare falls from the sky and it strikes Adeona right in the chest cavity*

*Adeona goes flying SKY HIGH into the air as Lucifer hits the wall and flies up towards it*

Demon Lane: Take this, Diving The End Disaster!!!

*Lucifer was closing the gap as Athena watched in terror, Lanes head tilted with the scariest face imaginable. The void around them was white and quiet and a few moments later, Athenas delicate voice finally broke the silence*

Athena: We won't let it end here... OUR BONDS WON'T BE BROKEN EVER!!!

*Athenas hair flows out as it began to turn to white fire, her skin and body glowing along with it*

Athena: NOW!! HEAVEN SLASH!!!

*The void breaks and Lucifer clashes with Adeona midair, Athena screeches as loud as she could as her Flare raged in a burning hot intensity. The midair explosion was so intense everyone in the audience had to look away, both beys go flying!! Adeona lands back in the stadium and Lucifer slams against the top of the wall and goes flying back up into the sky as it glows too*

*The craziest thing happened, both bladers were sent to a galaxy like void as Lane screamed loudly, his Flare as black as the markings on his face, Athena stared directly at him with incredible determination and was ready for what Lane had in store for her*

Demon Lane: ATHENA!!!!!!

*Lucifer was starting to fall back down as its Flare trailed behind it! in the galaxy void, Lane raised his arm up and balled up all his flare into his hand as it took the form of the Black Sun*

Demon Lane: FINAL THE END PRESS!!!!!

*Lane launches the ball of Flare straight down towards Athena who was below him now, Lucifer lands directly on top of Adeona with all its force. Both bladers yell out with all their power and determination, Adeona manages to escape and speed around the stadium to get away*

Demon Lane: NO, IMPOSSIBLE!!!!

Athena: Adeona!!

*The world around her goes black as 2 green eyes appear behind, then color returns and Athena was in the canyon void that she was in before and Adeona had come through the ground and its face lowered itself next to hers*

Adeona: Alright Athena, let's end this!!!

Athena: Yeah, let's do it!!

*Athena slams her fist into the earth and pulls out Adeonas sword*

*Adeona circled around the outer edge of the stadium at top speed, preparing for the finishing blow*

Adeona: Oh yeah, that's the stuff!!!

*Adeona grabbed her sword and it began to glow with a purple aura*

*Adeonas limit break wings glowed as it dashed toward it, Elaina in the crowd cheered for her loudly as a fierce look went across Athenas face*

Athena: NOW HEAVEN SYMPHONY!!!!

*Adeona slashes across Lucifer knocks it into the air, and in slow motion.. it burst into pieces, Lane gasped as the pieces of his bey fell to the stadium as Adeona wobbled and spun slowly*

Athena: No way.. did i really just... how-!

Referee: Adeona Heaven with a burst finish! With a final score of 2-4, Athena Valhalla is the winner!!!

*Athena fell back as confetti flew out of the ground and fell all around her, she did it. She finally defeated Lane*

Athena: I did it... i really did it.

*She heard Elaina, her beloved mother calling her in the audience*

Elaina: Athena sweetie!!! YOU ACTUALLY DID IT!!!

Athena: YEAH I ACTUALLY DID!!!

*Lane watched her and turned away from the arena...*

---A few minutes later after the battle, Lane punches the wall---

Lane: Why... How?! HOW COULD I LOSE TO A DIPSHIT LIKE HER!?!!

*Shu came up to him*

Shu: Lane!!

*Lane jumps a bit and turns toward his old teacher*

Lane: What could you possibly want now after all of this?..

Shu: It's over. Athena won and you lost, accept it.

Lane: I don't have to because Ashtem will give me the power i desire.

Shu: I see then.. well you'll learn the truth of that place soon enough.

*Shu turned and left, leaving Lane all alone*

---A few hours later at Valhalla Manor, everyone was celebrating Athenas victory---

*Athena had some of her friends on the ipad and had them all in a zoom call*

Athena: Yeah i actually won!!

Valt: We know, Every last one of us Legends saw that battle and it was amazing!!

Aiga: You really showed him who's boss!

Drum: Yeah, it seriously was an epic battle!!

Athena: Thanks guys, i'm really happy i won and that i have my brother back. anyway i'll talk to you guys later, bye!!

*Athena went back over to the party where her mom and Shu were*

Athena: Wow the food looks incredible as always!

Shu: Yeah, Let's dig in!

*Chiki appeared too, she was still in america after all this time*

Athena: Chiki?! what are you doing here?

Chiki: Well i heard you were gonna fight Lane so i had to see it in person, you don't get the same experience by watching it on a TV or a phone.

Athena: I guess that makes sense but i thought you said you were gonna do some training.

Chiki: Well i couldn't stand by and not cheer my best friend on in person for her big match.

*Athena blushed and smiled, everyone continued to party until Athena realized that Lane was not there.*

Athena: Hey where is Lane?

*Shu and Elaina look at each other concerned and they looked down at Athena who looked very hopeful that Lane was just incredibly late*

Shu: Do you want to tell her or should i?

Elaina: I'll do it Shu.

Athena: Tell me what? What aren't you telling me?

Elaina: Lane.. He's not coming home..

Athena: What?..

Elaina: He's not coming home.. im so sorry..

Shu: He went back to the Snake Pit Athena... 

Athena: After all that, he's still not here?...

*Athena got up and began to walk back to the mansion and went to her room, she layed in bed wondering what she did wrong*

Athena: Why.. i tried so hard and worked so hard and it was all for nothing!

*Shu and Elaina entered her room and sat on the bed*

Shu: Are you ok?

Athena: Not really..

Shu: You know, it's all going to be alright. You will have all other opportunities to defeat Lane once again.

Athena: Yeah and today was supposed to be the only time i needed to do that but it didn't work and now he is god knows where!!

Elaina: Sweetie, i know you can beat him again. Me, Shu and everyone else that cares about you know you can pull it off one more time.

Shu: And todays battle was already impressive.

Athena: Really?

Shu: Yeah, You may not have gotten Lane back but you showed the world that you shouldn't just give up, you have to keep getting back up no matter what.

Elaina: Same rule applies to you, you can't give up no matter how hard you get knocked down.

Athena: Thanks you two, i finally understand.

*Athena got up and stared out her window and into the world, the breeze blowing her beautiful purple hair out of her face*

Athena: Adeona.. next time we face Lane, we'll bring him home.. i promise!

1 Month after the events of the climatic showdown between Athena and Lane, Athena returns to Japan to finish what she started.

Zeus? (Zac is also being thought about but i cannot confirm that so please take that with a grain of salt)

I genuinely hope you enjoyed Season 1 as much as i enjoyed writing it, Athena and Lane are fun characters to write and i cant wait to start Season 2.

The first Chapter should be out as soon as I can get it out, i'm beyond hyped to bring it to you all. Also be sure to keep this story in your Librarys as Season 2's chapters will all be in this book too, there will also be 52 Chapters in Season 2.
