*Athena and Shu were in the lobby of the New York Bulls, memories of Lane flash through her mind as training was about to begin*

Shu: Is everything ok?

Athena: It's Lane.. he's in my head..

Shu: You'll be fine, you can beat him. If anyone can, it's you.

Athena: Can I though? Last time I faced Lane, I lost so can I really hope to beat him now.

Shu: Like I said, if anyone can and will beat Lane, it's you. I believe in you as I have from the beginning.

Athena: Shu..

Shu: My Spriggan can replicate the abilities of Lucifer The End. The moves I can mimic are The End Wall and The End Disaster.

Athena: What about his Limit Break: The End?

Shu: Spriggan is unable to do that so a suggestion would be to dodge that move at all costs.

*Athena nods and Shu pulls out his bey and launcher and prepared for battle*

Shu: Now, prepare for battle!

Athena: Yeah!

Shu: Another thing, You should go Left Spin and use Adeona Royal as you will be able to consistently match Lucifers spin throughout the battle.

Athena: So you want me to absorb its spin?

Shu: Exactly.

*Athena nods and changed to Adeona Royal, both bladers took positions. Shu set Spriggan to Right Spin Defense Mode*

Shu: Let's go!

Athena: Yeah!

3 2 1 GO SHOOT!!!

*the beys land in the stadium and Spriggan takes the center of the arena*

Shu: Now come!

Athena: Now go Adeona!!

*Adeona comes in and deals a barrage of attacks on Spriggan and absorbed small amounts of its power*

Shu: Stop it with World Spin!!

*Spriggan blocks the attack with it's free spin chassis, but it doesnt stop Adeona as it continues its assault*

Athena: We won't back down, you better believe it!!

*Shu smiles as Spriggan manages to counter Adeonas next attack and speed up to the upper deck*

Athena: Chase it down Adeona!!

*Adeona races up to the upper deck as it made it's way over to Spriggan at top speed*

Athena: Royal Burst now!!

Shu: World Slash!!

*both beys clashed, Spriggans burst stoppers were pushed in as Adeona burst nearly instantly*

Athena: No way..!

Shu: We're not stopping, it's all or nothing at this point!

Athena: Right, let's go again!!

3 2 1 GO SHOOT!!!

---Meanwhile in the deepest, darkest reaches of New York, Lane was doing some training of his own---

*Lucifer The End was spinning in the middle of the stadium with its evil flare lit ablaze, Lane smiled sinisterly as he could feel the power coursing through his veins*

Lane: This is it.. once i've consumed Adeona, my Flare will be one step closer to its fullest might.

*Lucifer continued to spin as the chips eyes and sun emblem began to glow*

Lane: Limit Break: The End!!

*The force of the special move shook the stadium as it began to crack, purple light filling those cracks*

Lane: I'll shatter Adeona once more and then i'm coming for rest of the Blading legends!!

---a few hours later, at the Raging Bulls---

*Athena and Shus training was still ongoing and Athena hadn't won even ONCE, Athena was starting to think whether or not she had what it takes to fight Lane again*

Athena: Shu, we've been going at this for hours and i haven't won a single battle yet.. it's official: i'm not ready to face Lane again anytime soon.

Shu: Are you just going to quit? The entire blading world is counting on you.

Athena: And that's the problem, i shouldn't have this much pressure and stress on me because im facing somebody kin to me. I don't care about everyone else, i care about Lane and i want him the way he used to be and that is all.

Shu: So i guess you never cared about me then.

Athena: No that's-

Shu: Everyone is counting on you because they don't want to face their beys to share the same fate as Longinus, Fafnir, Achilles, Adeona and others. I understand you feel that way but there is a lot more at stake than just Lanes safety.

Athena: I-I understand.. but i'm not somebody people should look up to, im simply a kid who wants their family together again, that's it and that's not much to ask for.

Shu: Well you can make that a reality because i know you can do it, but only you can put forth the effort and make it happen.

*Athena nods and takes her position, Shus eyes widen as he saw the determination in her eyes. He takes his position as the 36th battle began.*

Athena: I'll win this battle and i'm coming for you Lane, just you wait!

Shu: Let's go!

Athena: Yeah!!

3 2 1 GO SHOOT!!!

*Both beys landed in the stadium one last time and Spriggan this time wasn't taking the center*

Athena: So he's still in defense mode but he's going on the offense.. interesting.

Shu: Strike! Counter Break!!

*Spriggan clashes hard with Adeona Royal, making its disk move once towards the Limit Break. Adeona goes flying and lands on the upper deck and rushes into the speed cradle*

Athena: Now go, lets see if you can take this next attack!!

*Adeona races out of the speed cradle and straight towards Spriggan, with all its might it clashes into it as it hits Limit Break*

Athena: Limit Break: Royal!!!

*Adeonas ferocious limit break sends Spriggan flying into the air, Spriggan survived and came around for another attack*

Athena: Here it comes..

Shu: Go Spriggan, take them out!!

Shu: End this with World Slash!!

*Spriggan slashes across Adeona and sends it flying into the air, Athena screams out as her hair flew out into a white fireball but it didn't end there this time: Her eyes glowed a snowy white and little small rhombus like markings appear under her eyes and they glowed purple. Shus eyes widened at Athenas brand new form*

Angel Athena: Adeona!!!

*Adeona fell back down with its Flare activated, its 6 bladed ring glowed as it began to approach Spriggan for a devastating attack*

Angel Athena: Crush them with Royal Burst now!!

*Adeona and Spriggan lock together in a fierce and epic clash as an explosion of red and purple erupt from the stadium, the bladers shield their faces as the fierce clash ensued. both beys went flying upward and Spriggan burst. Athena's body returned to normal as her face lit up with happiness and delight*

Athena: Alright we did it!!!

*Shu smiled as he placed his bey back together, he was very proud of how far his student had come*

Shu: You did well, now we'll see tomorrow if all this training pays off.

Athena: Yeah we will! Would you like to go again?

Shu: It would be my pleasure.

---The Next Day: The Day Of The Fateful Battle!---

*Everyone in New York had arrived at the New York Arena, nobody in the state would want to miss this! Athena waited in a waiting room, waiting for her and Lane to be called up to their match. She stared at Lane and walked over to his bench and stared him directly*

Athena: So Lane, do you really think you're gonna win today?

*Lane simply stared at her and said nothing*

Athena: Well you're not. I've worked harder than anyone can possibly imagine to get this point and today it's all gonna pay off, you might as well give up because you're not winning this.

*Lane got up and began to leave the room, Athena stared after him with a serious look on her face*

Lane: You're delusional if you think you even have a chance against me.

Athena: Lane..

*Lane left the room and Athena was all alone, it was incredibly quiet*

---After about 30 minutes of waiting, Athena and Lane were finally called up to their match---

Announcer Hanami: Ok boys and girls, today we have probably one of the most incredible matches for you today! In the red corner, he has defeated countless Legendary Bladers with overwhelming strength and he has a personality of cold steel, it is the Jet-Black Sun himself: Lane Valhalla!!!

*the doors open and Lane appears and walks out*

Announcer Hanami: And in the blue corner, She has a personality and the prettiness of a kitten, her white flare as white as the snowy Himalayas, it is the Shining White Princess and Legend League runner-up: Athena Valhalla!!

*The blue corner doors open and Athena bursts out with a big and cute smile on her face as she waves at the american crowd. Shu and Elaina watch the battle from the first row of the crowd*

Elaina: You've got this sweetie now show the entire world what you can really do.

*Both bladers walk up to the stadium and Athena began to feel very small when she looked at Lane*

Lane: I have a proposal.

Athena: A proposal?

Lane: I request this match to be Burst-only and a first to 3 points match, no other finishes count.

Athena: Are you serious?!

*The referee listened to the voice coming through his earpiece and he finally made the call*

Referee: It's official, This will be a 3-Point Burst-Only Match!!

Elaina: Why a 3Point Burst Only Match?

Shu: My guess would be Lane wants to torment and toy around with Athena until he breaks her again.

Elaina: Is that what he's up to?

Shu: Possibly. i just know if Adeona is destroyed again then Athena will be devastated, nobody deserves to have their bey destroyed twice.

Athena: Regardless if theres altered rules, i'm still going to win!

Lane: You can keep telling yourself that but only I know the outcome of this battle.

Referee: First Battle!!

*Athena changed to Adeona Royal, she would go with the strategy Shu taught her*

Athena: I'll go with the plan Shu came up with, my plan is foolproof.

Lane: So you're gonna spin left huh, it's no use!

Referee: Ready Set!!!
