*Thunder rumbled on the demonic island as the battle at the peak was just starting to heat up, Lui grinned proudly as he was in the lead with 1 point*

Lui: So Lane Valhalla.. Is that really the limit of your power? Or is that power getting the best of you?

*Lane picked up his bey and rose to his feet, his mouth curving into an angry frown and his eyes narrowing. His bey glowed in his hand*

Lane: You'll see soon enough that i am superior!!

Lui: Superior huh, we'll see about that!!

*Lanes eyes glowed a fiery yellow as the second battle began, another loud clap of thunder echoed across the island*

Lane: You've had your glory now it's time for Longinus to die!!

Computer: Second Battle!!

*Both bladers auras glowed to life as the battle was about to start*

Computer: Ready set!!

3 2 1 GO SHOOT!!!

*The battle began and Lucifer took the center very quickly*

Lane: Now come at me, Longinus!!

*Longinus charged in and began to pummel Lucifer with a series of fierce blows, there was no doubt about it, Lui was going for a burst right away.*

Athena: Lui.. Be safe...

*Athena clutched the bottom of her dress nervously, she felt she knew what was coming*

*Longinus had blown Lucifer away into one of the speed cradles. Lucifer picked up incredible speed and raced toward it's opponent at full speed*

Lui: Raging Upper!!

Lane: Limit Break: The End!!

*Longinus goes flying out of the stadium from the devastating impact, Lucifer spun in the center once again, completely fine!*

Computer: Lucifer The End! Over Finish, the score is 1-1!!

Athena: He... actually pulled it off!

*Athena then heard a very soft roar but she had no idea what it was so she decided to tell Shu later*

*Lui picked up his bey and stared Lane in the eyes, he smiled and threw his head back in another fit of laughter, Lane scowled at him as Lui could barely contain himself*

Lui: Not bad but i've seen better, it's the end of the line for you Lane Valhalla!!

Lane: Oh really?!...

*After a while of non-usage, the Devils Mark on Lanes shoulder opened up once again as the flame markings spread across his body but it didn't end there: Lanes skin became more pale, his fingernails became more sharper, the sclera of one of his eyes turned as black as Lucifer itself*

Demon Lane: We're ready for you! Bring it on weakling!!

Lui: Ah, very interesting indeed! But do you think that'll be enough to take down Longinus?!

Computer: Third Battle! Ready Set!!

3 2 1 GO SHOOT!!!

*the third battle was on and Lucifer claimed center stage once again, Longinus was speeding around the outside and waiting for the right moment*

Lui: Rise up and tear it apart, Longinus!!

*Longinus comes charging in for the killing blow*

Lui: Raging Upper!!

*Longinus deals a nasty attack and sends Lucifer flying but it manages to survive*

Lui: Well, looks like I can't end this in one attack..

Demon Lane: Is that all you got?..

*Lucifer began to approach Longinus, starting its own relay of attacks*

Demon Lane: Let's go! The End Disaster!!

*With it's might, Lucifer slams into Longinus and knocks it into the wall with incredible force. Athena gasped as she ultimately realized what Lane was trying to do!*

Athena: Lane.. No...

*She could still hear the soft roars from earlier, she then realized what it was: It was Longinus! She could HEAR the voice of Longinus!*

*Lane grinned wickedly as he began to speak like a deranged psychopath as Lucifer was about to nail Longinus with another The End Disaster*

Demon Lane: That's it!! Make them suffer even more!!

*Lucifer nails Longinus with another brutal attack, Lane roars out as his black Flare swirled around him. Lucifer then began following up with a ruthless onslaught of attacks*

Lui: Longinus!!!

*Longinus breaks free and speeds up, recovering from the attacks*

Demon Lane: Lucifer!!

*Lucifer slams into the wall, activating its Limit Break and clashing with Longinus at full power, streaks of blue and purple erupt from the clash between Longinus and Lucifer continued. Athena could hear Longinus's roars get louder almost as if it was in pain*

Lui: Now, crush them with Raging Upper!!!

*It was no use, using the free spin components on the ring, Lucifer repelled the attack and returns to deal the finishing blow. Lui gasps in shock as knew he messed up. Lucifer starting closing the gap*

Demon Lane: Say goodbye!! The End Harbinger!!

*Lucifer clashes with Longinus as a loud explosion rocks the mountain, Longinus's avatar screams as Lucifer begins to crack it. With a final push, Lucifer breaks Longinus into pieces.. silencing it for good! Lui and Athena were stunned as Lane screamed to the skies*

Computer: Lucifer The End! Burst Finish!! Lane Valhalla wins 3-1!

*Lui fell to his knees as he picked up the pieces of his shattered bey, Lanes body returned to normal as he grinned at his fallen enemy*

Lui: Longinus I'm sorry, i failed you...

Lane: Looks like your worthless power was useful to me after all, i appreciate you fueling my Flare.

*Lane began leaving the island. Meanwhile at Valhalla Manor, everyone was shocked at Lanes actions. Athena looked down at Adeona which was glowing furiously*

Athena: No.. It's not true...

*She began gripping Adeona even tighter*

Athena: IT'S NOT TRUE!!!

*Athena pushed past everyone and ran into the flowery meadow in the backyard, she leans back into the flowers and watches the sunrise. A minute or so later, someone comes up and sits next to her: It was Shu*

Shu: Thought you could use some company, is everything ok?

Athena: N-No.. Lane just destroyed a bey! Of course i'm not ok!!

Shu: I see..

Athena: Shu.. Why does it have to be like this? Why is Lane walking the path he's waking?

Shu: I don't know. If this keeps up then he will eventually walk the path I once did..

*Athena looked at Shu with a confused expression*

Athena: Wait?! What do you mean "the path you once did"?

Shu: Once ago, i too craved power and destruction. Revenge is what drove me to the monster I became and at that time i no longer went by the name of Shu Kurenai, i went by the name of Red Eye.

Athena: Red Eye..

Shu: Thanks to Valt, i no longer had to live that nightmare.. But still i regretted the things i did. Point is, i just found out Lane has joined the Snake Pit..

Athena: Wait.. What?! I thought you said that place was gone!!

Shu: I know.. I was wrong. Apparently, Lane went through Ashtems new project and that explains his new power.. Its a project that could break even the strongest of wills.

Athena: And why didn't you tell me this before?!

Shu: I figured if you knew too much, you'd turn out like me or Lane.. I didn't want you to walk down that path.

Athena: And who says I would ever consider it. Shu, this is my brother we're talking about here!! You clearly had knowledge about what was happening to him and you didn't even bother to tell me!!

Shu: Im sorry Athena, i didn't tell you before because I couldn't stand to risk losing you like we did with Lane. 

Athena: Shu it's me, It's all me! Im not Lane and I never will be.

Shu: Athena..

Athena: I understand you were trying to protect me, but sometimes the truth is more important than anything else. After everything I've been through, i deserve to know.

*Shu smiled, his student was right. The sun had completely rised and the day of Tag Team Battles had begun*

Elaina: So the teams have been re-arranged!

*Purple Team was Athena, Delta, Valt and Aiga and Blue Team was Rantaro, Hyuga, Hikaru and Drum. Butler Albert stepped to the stadium and prepared to start the battle*

Butler Albert: Game 1

*The first bladers were Athena and Delta from the Purple Team VS Hyuga and Rantaro from the Blue Team*

Athena: Prepare yourselfs guys, me and Delta are coming at you guys at full power!!

Butler Albert: Ready set!
