Escape: Part 2

"Are you sure you know where you're going?" Esmerelda asked.

"I'm positive." Arvendir replied.

"Then when will we be there? I'm starving."

"Soon."

Legolas didn't believe Arvendir, even if he was a fellow elf he did not like him.

"Legolas, do you think Gandalf and the others will still be there? They're probably worried sick about us." Frodo said, he had kept Legolas company for most of their walk.

"They may have kept going, I do not know if we will find them once we return to the surface. Also, yes. They are probably worried."

"Right, I wish we could already be in Rivendell."

"Me too."

Legolas thought about Livian, she doesn't know where he and Milia are. She's the youngest out of all three of them, and she needed to know that her siblings were still alive.

"Come with me Frodo, we're going a different way." Legolas said.

"What? We don't know any other ways. We don't even know where we are." Frodo said in confusion.

"I'll find a way, we're getting no where with Arvendir. Let's find a different way, and I know someone who could be our guide."

"Fine I'll come with you, what about Milia, Prisca and Es? Are they coming with us?" Frodo asked.

"Yes, get Prisca and Esmerelda."

Frodo nodded his head, he told Prisca and Esmerelda. They agreed, Legolas got Milia and told her.

She agreed as well, so they all waited for the right moment to sneak away.

Once none of the others were looking, Legolas signaled for them to slip away.

Once they got far enough they stopped, "We did it, now we have to find Waldo." Legolas said.

"Are you insane! Why do we need to find him?" Milia exclaimed.

"He's going to be our guide, trust me I know how to negotiate."

Milia rolled her eyes, "Legolas you-"

"Milia, do you want to get back to Livian or not? Why won't you just listen to me sometimes? I have a plan, and if you don't want to get to Rivendell then you can go back with the others. So are you coming or not?" Legolas interrupted, he stared at Milia strait in the eyes and waited for an answer.

"I'm coming with you." Milia sighed.

"Then let's go." Legolas said, then started walking again.

The cave seemed to get darker and darker as they walked, "How are we supposed to find Waldo?" Esmerelda asked.

"I'm not sure, he'll be around here somewhere." Legolas said.

"I've noticed something about you Leggy." Esmerelda said.

"What..."

"You like to be your own thing, have things your way. I saw you earlier when we were following Arvendir, you didn't like it."

Legolas looked down at Esmerelda and smirked, "You're right Esmerelda, I don't like it. I don't like it one bit."

"Don't ever look at me like that again Leggy, or you'll regret it..."

Legolas laughed, as he turned his head back up to the pathway in front of them.

It was now pitch black and none of them could see, "Everyone stop where you are."

They all stopped and one of them bumped into Frodo, "Oops, sorry blue eyes." Esmerelda called out.

"Don't call me-" just as Frodo was talking he got interrupted.

"Frodo, why are your eyes glowing?" Prisca asked.

"Wait? What? They're glowing!?" Frodo said as he started to freak out.

"Yes, as in they're bright and glowing and it's freaking me out." Prisca said.

"Good! Now we can see where we're going! Lead the way Glow Eyes!" Esmerelda said as she patted Frodo on the back.

"I guess your eyes are so blue, that they glow in the darkest places." Legolas said jokingly.

Frodo sighed, and mumbled something no one could understand thankfully.

They heard a noise coming from a different way, "Uh, Legolas what was that?" Milia said.

"I'm not sure."

Why does everyone always think I'll know? Legolas thought.

"Where'ssssss Waldoooooo?" a voice said from the end of the tunnel.

"Um is that the insane orc you want to negotiate with?" Milia asked.

"Yes, it is indeed." Legolas said as he walked slowly towards it.

"Frodo light me up." Legolas said.

Frodo rolled his eyes, as he made his eyes glow brighter for Legolas to see the orc.

"Waldo, I need you to show us the way out of here." Legolas said, as he walked closer and closer to the orc.

"Show you the way out? Of my underground paradise? Well, to bad for you! You're stuck down here." Waldo said.

"You mean there's no way out?"

"No, actually I'm just joking with you. There is a way out, but I'm not telling you where it is." Waldo said, as an evil smile came across his face.

Legolas ran towards Waldo and pinned him against the wall, "You will show us the way out, or else..."

"I don't want to. Have Wanda do it." Waldo said.

"Wanda? You mean there's another stupid orc down here?" Legolas grumbled.

Waldo's eyes filled up with anger, he kicked Legolas off of him and Legolas fell to the ground.

"Wanda is no stupid orc, she's my beautiful orc. Don't ever speak those foul words again!" Waldo demanded.

"There's girl orcs? I must have misheard." Frodo said.

"Nope, you heard right...Because I heard the same thing." Prisca said.

Legolas stood up as he dusted his clothes off, Esmerelda was laughing. "You just got kicked by an orc! Bet you didn't see that coming Leggy!" Esmerelda said as she fell to the ground laughing.

Legolas glared at her, then looked back at Waldo.

"Where is Wanda then?"

"I don't know."

Legolas rolled his eyes, I've had enough.

"Here I'll call for her. WANDA!!! WANDA WHERE ARE YOU!!!" Waldo yelled.

"Coming darling! Wanda shouted."

"She's coming."

"Good." Legolas said.

They all noticed another orc coming down the pathway, "Wanda, will you show them out of here please?" Waldo asked.

"Yes, yes I will." Wanda said with a smile.
"Follow me young ones."

Legolas looked at her weird, Who's she calling young?

So they all followed after Wanda, Frodo's eyes stopped glowing once they left the dark tunnel.

"Great now my head hurts." Frodo said as he rubbed his eyes.

"That was really strange." Prisca said as she laughed and smiled.

Frodo laughed with her, "It was."

Prisca noticed Frodo looking at her, so she looked at him and smiled. Then they both looked away from each other.

"I hope Grinila will forgive me for my foolishness." Prisca said.

"She seems like the type of hobbit who would do that." Frodo replied.

"You think so?"

"Yeah, cause she's shy so she won't get mad. Maybe..."

"Yeah, maybe."

Prisca had tried to handle her temper better, she had always been like that. She wish she could control it better.

As they walked they could hear Milia humming a song, it was peaceful.

Legolas knew the song, he and Milia made it up when they were younger. Before Livian was born.

Him and Milia had always been close siblings, but for some reason she's seemed annoyed with everything Legolas had done lately.

He didn't like it, it made him feel like there's been a disconnection between them and he didn't want it to go on any longer.

Legolas decided to talk to Milia instead of argue with her, after all he was her older sibling.

So he went over to Milia and walked by her side, and once he did she stopped humming.

"Milia, I've been needing to talk to you about some things. If you're willing to listen." Legolas said.

"It's alright Legolas, I forgive you." Milia said.

"No, Milia that's not the only reason why I wanted to talk to you. There's other things."

Milia looked at the ground, then back up at Legolas.

"I'm listening."

Legolas took in a deep breath, then began to speak to her.

"I've felt this anger between us, and I don't want it to keep growing stronger. I need to know that you aren't mad or have anything against me right now."

"Well Legolas, you're right. There has been anger and frustration, I've noticed it too. I thought you were mad at me, so that's why I haven't been talking to you. I also miss Livian, I want her to know that we're alright." Milia said.

"I just want you to know that I'm sorry, I have missed Livian as well, I guess as the oldest I feel responsible for you and her. So I've been frustrated that I've been stuck down here, and knowing that she doesn't know we're alright makes me feel like a terrible brother." Legolas said.

Milia didn't say anything, she kept walking and looking at the ground.

"Milia?"

"Forgive me Legolas, I've only been so angry because I want to see Livian."

"I forgive you, and I understand."

Milia looked at Legolas, she smiled softly. Legolas smiled back, she felt happy now that she got that taken care of.

"I can't wait to see her." Milia said.

"Me either."

"We're almost there! Just a few more turns." Wanda called out.

So they turned a few more different ways, then saw a bright light in front of them.

"There you go! Thanks for coming! Waldo really needed some company." Wanda said with a smile.

"Uh, you're welcome?" Milia said as she smiled awkwardly.

"Come on let's go." Legolas said.

So they all followed after him quickly, and once they got out.

They were somewhere they did not expect to be.
