The cave got colder and colder once night came, they all tried to keep warm as they sat in the cage.

"It's so cold." Prisca said as she wrapped her arms around her body, trying to keep warm.

"That's the least of our problems Pris, I need food." Esmerelda said.

Prisca sighed, "I know Es..."

Legolas sat in the corner of the cage, he glanced over at the the others who weren't in the cage, every once in awhile just to see if they moved.

"Legolas, if they wake up then they could get us out of here." Frodo said as he shivered.

Legolas nodded, If they ever do wake up...

Suddenly, one of them moved. It was Merilwen, no one noticed her though.

Her eyes shot open as she sat up quickly and shouted, "Listal!" Legolas looked over quickly at her.

He stood up, and looked at Merilwen as she was searching for the hobbit. While breathing heavily, she found Listal up against the wall by Ithilwen. She was barley breathing, but still alive.

She was relived, she held her arm and slowly leaned up back against the wall.

"You are injured." Legolas said.

Merilwen looked over at him and shook her head, "It's nothing, I'm fine."

"No you aren't, your arm is injured."

Merilwen glanced over at Legolas, she changed the subject.

"How did you get down here? I thought you were on your way to Rivendell."

"The ground shook, then split open and me and my friends fell in."

"That's what happened to us, did any of your friends get injured?" Merilwen asked.

"No, none of them are hurt. Your friends do not look so well, and I happen to know one of them." Legolas said as he looked at Ithilwen who was motionless.

"Ithilwen?" Merilwen said.

Legolas nodded his head.

Merilwen sighed, "Where are we anyways?"

"We're trapped in a cave with a insane orc." Legolas replied.

"We wouldn't have been stuck in here if it wasn't for Legolas, insulting the orcs underground paradise." Milia said, as she stood up.

"Interesting." Merilwen said.

Ithilwen's head started moving back and fourth, her hand twitched.

"She's waking up." Merilwen said.

Ithilwen's eyes opened, and she looked around the room.

She turned her head to her right and saw Merilwen, "Merilwen? What happened." Ithilwen asked as she rubbed her head.

"We fell, then ended up here. Are you alright?"

"Strange place to end up... Yes, I'm fine."

Ithilwen looked over at the cage with Legolas and the others, "Why are you here?" Ithilwen asked.

"Well, we got captured by an orc."

"Just one orc? I'm surprised." Ithilwen said.

"Well, he wasn't the smartest orc... So we didn't know what to do." Legolas said.

Ithilwen shrugged her shoulders then turned back to Merilwen, "We should get out of here. We need to wake Listal up."

Merilwen agreed, then she tried to wake Listal.

She did not wake up, "We don't have time for this now. We'll have to carry her." Ithilwen said as she saw a torch light coming down the pathway.

"Don't move." Legolas told them.

They did as he said and stopped moving, Waldo appeared in the room with Harry Monstrosity.

"Hello prisoners! Have they woken up yet?"

Legolas shook his head, Waldo grumbled.

"Well, then I guess they are no longer my prisoners. They have moved on, Harry Monstrosity! Help me get rid of them, they are no use to me now." Waldo ordered.

Legolas's eyes widened, as he watched in silence. "No you ca-" Legolas stopped Esmerelda, then whispered to her. "Be quiet."

Esmerelda was quiet as she watched Waldo's warg pull the wagon with them in it, back down the pathway. After he left Legolas started looking for ways to get out.

"Legolas! He thinks they're dead, and they actually will be if we don't help them!" Esmerelda exclaimed.

"I know, that's why I'm trying to find a way out."

There was a small cry of horror that filled Legolas's ears, "Is that..." Prisca said.

"No, that is no elf cry." Legolas said.

Two figures appeared from the pathway, one held Listal in her arms and the other ran towards the cage.

"You're alive!" Esmerelda pleaded with joy.

"We won't be for long if we don't hurry, his warg is after us." Merilwen tried to hurry.

She could only use her right arm, her left was injured.

She found the keys to the cage and opened it, they all came out and Legolas took Listal from Ithilwen.

"Which way do we go?" Legolas asked.

"I saw another pathway, follow me." Ithilwen said.

They all followed her, they ran quickly.

"His warg is on our trail! We must hurry!" Milia exclaimed.

They came to a dead end, and Harry Monstrosity was not far behind them.

"It's a dead end!" Ithilwen cried out.

They saw the shadow of Harry Monstrosity coming up slowly.

"Now would be a good time for something unexpected to happen..." Esmerelda said.

Harry Monstrosity appeared in front of them, he growled and his eyes blazed with fury.

He was only a few feet away from them,  moving closer and closer.

Suddenly there was a loud whistle, Harry Monstrosity turned and got knocked down to his feet.

All of them watched, then saw a tall figure standing in front of them.

"Arvendir?" Merilwen said then walked slowly towards the tall figure. He was an elf, with dark hair and dark blue eyes.

He embraced Merilwen as she hugged him, "How did you know I was here?" Merilwen asked.

"I've been down here for a few days now, I heard you all and decided I should see what was happening. Then I find myself knocking out a warg." Arvendir smiled.

He turned his gaze towards everyone else, Legolas was staring at him in confusion.

Well, I could have done that. Legolas thought to himself. As he raised an eyebrow.

"Are these your friends?" Arvendir asked.

"Sort of, I know Ithilwen and Listal very well. But Listal will not wake up, Legolas has her." Merilwen explained.

"Ithilwen, I remember her. From when we were younger." Arvendir said, then Ithilwen walked towards both of them.

"Arvendir, it's been awhile."

"Yes, it has."

Legolas decided it was time to leave that place, "I think we should get going."

"Yes, I agree. We need to get out of here. I need Listal to wake up." Merilwen said.

"Then let's get going, I think I saw a way out." Arvendir said.

Arvendir walked up to Legolas and took Listal from him, without saying a word.

Legolas did not like him one bit, he stood there and watched him walk away with everyone.

Frodo came up behind him and stood beside him, "He's just trying to Impress Merilwen, and he could be jealous of you." Frodo said.

"I can see that..." Legolas grumbled.

"Come on let's go."

Frodo started walking, and Legolas took in a deep breath. Then he followed after Frodo.

Prisca slowed down and waited for Legolas and Frodo to catch up, "That new elf is strange. Wouldn't you agree Legolas?" Prisca said.

"Yes he is."

"He's always been like that, he's very outgoing. Not as shy calm as you Legolas." Ithilwen said.

Legolas looked at her, "You think I'm shy and calm?"

"Yes, I do. I know that you wouldn't act like this to impress an elleth."

"I wouldn't?" Legolas said with confusion.

"Look, Legolas. He hasn't seen Merilwen in a long long time, so he is just trying to impress her, and maybe he thinks that she likes you. But trust me she doesn't." Ithilwen explained.

"Well then maybe someone should tell him that."

"Well, I would but maybe he should just hear it from Merilwen."

Legolas found himself starring at Ithilwen, she didn't notice though.

He stopped and looked back in front of him.

They walked and walked, so many different turns and pathways.

Legolas wondered if Arvendir actually knew where he was going.
