The Reader is A Buddyfighter from Earth, but he has no buddy, so everyday he goes out to buy a single card pack. Never once has he gotten a buddy rare, until today when he finally opened one to find a glowing card that flew off.

In Ever After shortly before, Raven Queen was talking to Apple White, but that quickly became an Argument that ended with Raven yelling, 'I'd rather be stuck in another world then be evil'. She quickly got her wish when a glythe appeared under her and absorbed her before disappearing, along with two of her Friends, Maddie and Cerise.

Back with the Reader, the card finally stopped and a whirlwind was unleashed, when said whirlwind stopped there stood, or rather floated, Raven Queen, who quickly fell on her butt. Three cards flew down to Ravens feet, two having images of her friends Maddie and Cerise, and the final one having the image of Ever Afters Crest. Raven quickly began to freak out as she looked at her surroundings and began getting up. The reader tries to calm her down when suddenly Tasuku Ryuenji, along with his buddy Jack flew in. They asked the reader if he was the one to draw a Buddy rare, which the reader said yes. Tasuku then tells the reader that he has drawn a buddy rare from an undiscovered world.

The two are brought to the buddy police HQ, with the three cards included. There, Raven is asked to be hooked up to a machine made to locate a Buddy monsters homeworld.
