The only thing about your power is that the people you read about actually teleport into the story, that's if you're reading about real people, but if it's one with fake people, the book looks into your subconscious to create the characters and what they look like based on your perspective. As you keep reading you don't realise that it's actually them in the book and they remember you, and everything that happened within the book so when you finally meet them, they're blown out of their minds and they act all nervous because to them what happened seemed like dreams to them and they would be asleep when you read the fics, if they were awake they would fall asleep and wake up when the book is over or when you stopped reading. If you weren't in the story, aka an X reader story, you would just spectate everything like in a video game or movie.
