Kind of a twisted rip on Tron.

a person is pulled into a computer and made into code by a demon or possibly just a dead person that is trying to reach the human world.

the story is a game of wits between the human and the Demon/dead person over who gets to go back and claim the waiting body on the other end.  The original thought was to reinforce the idea of people's disconnect due to technology and force the main character to put his hope in his friends forwarding a certain super cheesy statement or e-mail.
